REALITY AND ILLUSION

THE GREAT ILLUSION & THE GRAND REALITY

© Copyright October 2022 Edward R. Close

Hidden In Plain Sight

There are two extreme views of reality. This is not just the case for people who call themselves scientists, it is also true for all consciousness beings: One of the extreme views is called Determinism, the other is called Probabilism, and, of course, there are many views that fall in between, and views that are mixtures of the two extremes. Every conscious being has a view that falls somewhere on that imaginary line between the two extremes, and the appropriate question becomes: Is there a ‘correct’ view; a view that corresponds with the reality that actually exists? The determinist says yes, the probabilist says no.

The determinist believes that reality is a logical system that exists objectively and changes over time according to natural laws that, while they may be very complex, can be discovered and understood. The probabilist believes that reality is ultimately a system of random processes, within which natural probability distributions occur that favor certain outcomes, and that even the outcomes that have become regarded as ‘laws of nature’, like F = ma and E = mc2, are only approximately correct at any given point in time. Determinists tend to believe in the existence of an intelligence behind everything, while Probabilists tend to be agnostic or even atheistic.

It turns out that they are both wrong - or, more accurately, as relativity and quantum physics have shown, and now, new discoveries in the expanded paradigm that we (Neppe & Close) call TVDP have verified, they are both right and wrong, and therefore, neither, reflecting the logic of a reality of more than four dimensions. The dichotomy between Determinism and Probabilism, a split that leads to endless debate, is much like the division between Biden Democrats and Trump Republicans in America today, and between the Globalists and Nationalists worldwide, in that they are just the dramatic warp and woof of distraction by belief, designed to obscure the true nature of reality. The majesty and elegance of reality is hidden by misunderstandings presently common among human beings about the real nature and interaction of matter, energy, space, time, and consciousness.

Max Planck exposed some of the basic illusions that human beings have about the nature of matter and energy, Albert Einstein uncovered some of the basic illusions we have about the nature of space and time, and together, they dispelled the illusion that these four basic variables of physicality form a fixed universal background in which all things exist, and all events happen. With their surprising discoveries, mass, energy, space, and time, the basic measurable aspects of physical reality that had been the four solid corner posts of classical scientific materialism for many years, were shown to be interacting parts of an ever-changing holistic reality, whose measured values expand and contract from one observer to another, depending upon secondary and tertiary conditions like velocity and acceleration. With the discovery and study of gimmel, the quantifiable impact of a primary form of consciousness (See the list of relevant publications at the end of my post  on Extra-Physical Reality, posted on this blogsite September 18, 2022), further illusions are revealed.

A Matter of Life and Death

A dear friend, uniquely well-trained in both science and theology, after reading my third book, Transcendental Physics, and after someone he loved very much died, had two questions:

1)      Is there a reality independent of what we think about it?

2)      Where did she (his much loved one) go?

These important questions are examples of the type of questions that Gödel’s incompleteness theorems prove may exist in any consistent logical system. They simply cannot be answered in terms of the system within which they are asked. The proof of  Gödel’s theorems was, according to professional mathematicians of the time, “so novel that only those intimately conversant with the technical literature of a highly specialized field [the symbolic logic of set theory] could follow the argument…”. With the risk of appearing to be ‘beating a dead horse’ again, I must remark that the calculus of dimensional distinctions (CoDD), the geometric-mathematical system that I have talked about so often in these posts, makes proof of the incompleteness of finite logical systems so simple as to be almost trivial.

The drama of conflicting opposites is easy enough to get caught up in, because it provides some relief from the boredom typical of those who have not yet learned to think beyond the obvious. When I first started teaching mathematics, in a secondary school in the US public school system in Mid America sixty years ago, it was not at all uncommon to hear teenagers arguing about something, calling each other “ignernt”. (Yes, that’s the way they pronounced the word ignorant). Once, upon entering a classroom where such an argument was in progress, - I think it was on my first day of teaching - I took the situation as an opportunity to teach. I pointed out that there is nothing wrong with being ignorant. In fact, everyone is ignorant of something. For example, I told them, I knew nothing about brain surgery. The punchline was: “There is a remedy for ignorance. It’s called education”. I’d like to think that I prevented some unnecessary violence, maybe a black eye or some pulled hair. I enjoyed teaching mathematics. It was very rewarding to see young minds begin to think at least a little beyond the obvious, and I learned that most people, even in college and university, have no idea what mathematics is, what critical thinking is, or what constitutes proof of a scientific or mathematical hypothesis.

What does this have to do with the greater illusions of life and ultimate reality? Conflict is universal, and conflict of opposites can lead to violence and, on a large scale, to group psychosis, and possibly to another world war, with the needless injury and death of billions of the souls now occupying physical bodies. Our leaders today are acting much like those teenagers, unaware of the potential results of their aggressive defense of their own ignorance and the desire to punish the perceived ignorance of others. We’ve been down this road many times before since the descending ages of the last peak of mental and spiritual virtue more than 10,000 years ago. Adding to the danger this time, are the false idols of artificial intelligence and the irrational belief that anyone can “reimagine” reality, past, present, and future, and by doing so, remake reality in their own imperfect image. We live in dangerous times. Our survival as a viable species on this planet depends upon understanding the difference between illusion and reality.

The Significance of TDVP and the Discovery of Gimmel

The Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP) is a meaningful expansion of the current scientific paradigm, expanded to include consciousness as a quantifiable variable in a 9-D geometric mathematical model of reality. The discovery by Neppe and Close while applying the quantum calculus of the TVPD, the calculus of dimensional distinctions (the CoDD), that no stable physical universe could exist without the third form of reality beyond mass and energy, a form with no mass or energy of its own, that we chose to call gimmel, has changed everything. Not only can we explain things that mainstream science cannot explain and consequently has to accepted as “weird”, but we can also answer questions that materialistic science will not even ask, and we can distinguish existing reality from conceptual fantasy using the TRUE analysis of the primary quantum calculus (the CoDD) of the TDVP.

Questions and Answers

With the knowledge and experience gained from application of the new science of TDVP to numerous experimental and conceptual investigations, how will I answer the questions my dear friend asked? Let me address them one at a time. The first one was: Is there a reality independent of what we think about it? In the current mainstream  scientific paradigm, the answer is an unequivocal yes, because current science and technology are built on the very assumption of the complete independence of objective reality from the state of consciousness of the observer. My answer at this time is also yes, but it is a qualified yes, because the extent to which it is true depends on the level of consciousness of the “we” in the question he asked. At this point in the relative time cycles on this planet, reality is mostly governed by the Primary form of Consciousness, independent of the functioning of the sparks of self-consciousness identified with localized physical life forms, but in the future, this will change due to the gradual increase in mental and spiritual virtue among conscious beings living on this planet.

The second question my friend asked was: Where did she (his loved one who died) go? The answer is: She didn’t go anywhere; at least not in the sense meant in the context of physical reality. Even her physical body did not go anywhere when she died, it just began to disintegrate because the billions of TRUE (quantum equivalence units) that kept it organized and functioning in a way that kept it alive, were no longer able to perform the necessary organizing and maintenance processes to do so, due to the effects of irreparable damage or disease. Where did the organizing gimmel units go? Like the physical components of her body, the meaningful components of her soul still exist in an expanded domain of our multi-dimensional reality, because the law of conservation of mass and energy is operative for all of reality. Nothing is ever created or destroyed by natural or man-made processes, it only changes form.

What is the solution to the currently mushrooming of real, potentially disastrous problems created by those who, through ignorance, are trying to play the roles of petty gods, with no concern for the collateral damage of widespread pain, suffering, and loss of human lives? A combination of real education and enlightenment of the electorate is the answer. But it must be education about the actual facts that exist, not of the half-baked ideas someone wants to reimagine about the past, present and/or future, and it must be the spiritual enlightenment of expanding individual consciousness, guided, if necessary, by those few rare individuals who have reunited with the Presence of Primary Consciousness. The discovery of gimmel leads directly to proof of the existence of enlightened beings and the existence of the Primary form of Consciousness that creates, maintains, and evolves the stable structure of physical reality and organic life forms supporting the spiritual evolutional of our eternal souls toward the ultimate goal of Cosmic Consciousness.

The great illusion is the splitting of reality into opposing extremes to keep the conflicts going to benefit the wealth and power of those who want to play God. This dangerous game is promoted by Earth-dwelling ego-based psychopaths in the same evil spirit of the despots and tyrants in the list of evil rulers in the recent history of the human race, as we moved past the lowest point in mental and spiritual virtue in this planetary time cycle in 499 AD.  The Grand Reality is the magnificence and elegance of the Infinite Intelligence hidden in plain sight that connects and unites us through the self-less Love and the creative energy of Primary Consciousness.

THE PROBLEM OF TIME

GOOD AND EVIL AND THE PROBLEM OF TIME

© Copyright 2022, Edward R Close

Introduction

In case there is any question, let me clarify the theme of these blogposts: It is important for people living in the present age to begin to realize that the shallow idea that the reality we experience is nothing more than the sum of the accidental after-effects of a massive cosmic explosion at some point in the past, is demonstrably false. The discovery of gimmel, the finite non-physical part of reality, provides scientific evidence and conclusive proof that the development of sentient life on this planet was not an accident. This conclusion brings with it the realization that there is real meaning and purpose to the existence of physical reality and in the lives we experience.

In the recent past, it has been generally assumed by academic scientists and philosophers that belief in the existence of a higher power is based on blind faith and thus impossible prove or disprove with objective logic. But now that the analysis of quantum reality with the triadic logic of TDVP has resulted in the discovery of gimmel, the non-physical organizing component of the stable structure of the universe, we have mathematical proof that there is an infinitely intelligent design underlying objective reality. As a result of that proof, it is no longer intellectually honest or morally acceptable to pretend that the existence of an intelligence far superior to that of human beings is open to debate. It is not. We now know that without pre-existing organizing intelligence, there would be no physical universe.

As independent conscious beings, we have the free-will ability to accept or reject any concept, even one that is validated with experimental evidence and logical proof. E.g., one can reject the concept of intelligent design either by questioning the a priori assumptions upon which the axiomatic proof is based, or one can reject it simply because one doesn’t like the implications of that conclusion. So, in regard to the question of whether we can affect reality by the way we think about it, the appropriate question becomes: Can our beliefs and our acceptance or rejection of specific concepts about the nature of reality have any direct effect on that which actually exists? Can we “re-imagine” the reality we are part of and manifest something better?

The Problem

The answer to any question that can be expressed in mathematical logic is generally already present in the question itself, hidden by layers of meaning that can be unraveled by a sufficiently well-developed calculus. This means that to get valid answers, we must ask the right questions. In the opinion of one of the greatest minds of recent history, Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, all logical questions have valid answers, and the foremost and most important question of all questions that scientists can ask is: “Why is there something rather than nothing?” In my opinion, given that there actually is something called reality that exists all around us, an even more important question is: How is it possible that conscious beings can exist within the reality that they experience through their awareness? Consciousness exists, and without the existence of consciousness, the question of why there might be something rather than nothing, cannot even arise.

As explained in previous posts, for the first time in recent history, some light has been shed on the question of the existence of consciousness, and the nature of reality as a result of the discovery of non-physical gimmel. Because of the way atomic and subatomic objects that are composed of elementary particles are known to decay, it is clear that gimmel had to exist before any stable physical structures could form. Without the pre-existence of the primary organizing presence of gimmel, no physical substance could have formed and remained stable long enough for a one-celled living organism to develop, or even for a single atom to form, and in that case, as Leibniz suggested, there would have been nothing instead of something

While the Biblical statement that God spoke reality into existence may be true, that answer is scientifically and philosophically unsatisfying because we are left wondering who or what God was, and/or is, and how He, She, or It came to exist. It turns out that this question is not answerable in the logical system currently underlying contemporary science because of unwarranted a priori assumptions about the nature of space, time, and consciousness. The basic problem lies in assuming that space, time, and consciousness are physical realities limited to no more than what is perceived by the five physical senses. It is obvious that this is an erroneous belief as soon as we realize how very weak the five senses are, in terms of their limited perception of the vast range of energies that exist in the universe.

A major problem that arises when contemporary science tries to answer the questions posed above about the nature of consciousness and reality, is the fact that no experimental scientist seems to have any idea what consciousness is. Many functional aspects of consciousness have been identified by clinical psychologists, psychiatrists, and experimental neuroscientists, based on the observed behavior of sentient beings, but the origin and location of the root of consciousness within the structures of physical reality has remained a deep mystery until the discovery of gimmel.

The Solution

Gimmel showed up in the solutions of the CoDD Diophantine equations describing the combination of the three quarks that form the proton, and the amounts of gimmel in quantum equivalence units existing in the structure of all of the atoms that make up the elements of the periodic table have been calculated and published in several of the books and papers by Neppe and Close or Close and Neppe, as cited in previous posts. The percentage of gimmel existing in life-supporting elements and compounds is much higher than in elements and compounds that are harmful to sentient life. The correlation between elevated levels of gimmel existing in the life-supporting elements and the consciousness of organic lifeforms suggests that gimmel, if not a form of consciousness itself, is at the very least the connection with and conveyor of the logical structure of the intelligence underlying everything, including the functioning of the brains of sentient beings.

Recognizing that it is no accident that the natural laws governing the complex reality that we experience are consistent with the innate logical structures of a conscious mind, we can begin to understand the shocking TDVP conclusion that a primary form of consciousness pervades objective reality, and that this primary form of consciousness manifests in physical reality in the form of non-physical gimmel. Gimmel is an organizing force of nature that had to exist before a single atom of any stable physical universe could form. Conclusion: Primary Consciousness, represented by gimmel, still exists in every stable structure of physical reality.

This means that G. W. Leibniz’s question has been answered: Something exists because there never has been, and never will be absolute nothingness because the logical structure of Primary Consciousness, from which everything arises, has always existed, exists now, and will always exist. The dimensions of space, time, and consciousness, being non-physical, are not affected by physical change. And, as long as we remain totally identified with our finite physical bodies, we are unaware of more than 95% of reality. It is hidden from us because of the severe limitations of the physical senses which developed in a specific limited fashion that allows for survival of the physical body long enough to reproduce and provide a continuation of living physical vehicles for our individually evolving spiritual consciousness.

Application of the calculus of dimensional distinctions with TRUE analysis to the equations of quantum physics and relativity reveals that mass, energy, and gimmel are three forms of the same thing. This allows all three to be measured as integer multiples of the same quantum equivalence units (TRUE). The un-named thing that manifests itself in all of the logical structures of reality (that some of us have the audacity to call ‘the thoughts of God’) as mass, energy, and gimmel, is consciousness. This explains why no one can define consciousness. Everything that exists is, in effect, condensed forms of consciousness. Thus, consciousness is impossible to define in the customary manner, i.e., in terms of something else that is known, because there is nothing else. I believe this explanation can be added to the fifty-plus TDVP explanations of things that are either not properly explained, or inexplicable, in the standard model.

With this understanding, let’s return to consideration of the questions about the possibility of affecting reality by focusing with intelligent conscious intent on the connection between physical and non-physical reality at the quantum level. Can our beliefs and our acceptance or rejection of specific concepts about the nature of consciousness and reality have direct effects on that which actually exists? Can we “re-imagine” the reality we are part of and change it into a better, more desirable reality?

First, and this is the most difficult thing for our egos, we must recognize that, in our present form as conscious beings, we are not totally in charge of reality. As long as we identify primarily with finite physical lifeforms that are only capable of perceiving very small fractions of the ranges of vibratory energies that fill the finite dimensions of reality, the sensual pleasures, and pains that we feel through our physical bodies, demand our attention so strongly that we forget who we really are, from whence we came, and our reason for being.

Manifesting the Reality of Our Dreams

The first thing you need to do, is throw out the erroneous belief that time is an absolute limitation that you must willingly accept. Realize that the illusion of one-dimensional, unidirectional time is only one of the temporary limitations that are imposed on the physical vehicle that you think of as ‘your’ body. As a sovereign conscious spiritual being, you are not eternally bound by constraints of space, time, and consciousness. They are imposed on your physical body for purposes of physical survival. Your current existence as a conscious spiritual being, experiencing reality in a physical body, is an opportunity to use whatever freewill you may have to expand your consciousness in a way that will enhance your spiritual growth.

As you expand your consciousness away from the confines of your physical body and begin to see the additional dimensions that exist around you, you will see that you have been putting out impulses and images designed to manifest your desires in the physical world for as long as you have been conscious. The problem is not that your efforts are ineffective, it is just that in the current temporal limitations imposed on the Earth and related physical bodies, it takes more than one lifetime for most of us now alive on the planet to see more than some superficial results of our efforts to manifest what we believe to be a more desirable reality.

As we learn from experience and grow in spiritual virtue, the time required for the concrete earthly manifestation of our desires will decrease in proportion to our spiritual advancement. Physical reality has been structured this way to prevent us from unwisely manifesting too many things that are ultimately harmful and destructive. This safeguard, however, cannot be absolute because that would eliminate freewill and the whole purpose of objective reality.

There are three meaningful outcomes that can result from our thoughts and actions, as we try to manifest whatever reality we may desire. They are good, ineffective, and bad. This is the origin of the concepts of good and evil. The only meaningful definition of good and evil, with regard to individual actions, is whether they result in advancing or diminishing intellectual integrity and  spiritual virtue.

Reality is structured so that, in order to give us opportunities to choose to manifest realities that are ultimately good, ineffectual, or evil, freewill and the intellectual awareness of physical reality expand ahead of spiritual virtue. This meaningful design also allows mis-guided individuals to try to play God before they have gained enough intellectual insight and spiritual virtue to realize that their negative actions are detrimental to the spiritual growth of living beings in general, and for themselves in particular. Such mis-guided individuals do not realize that their evil actions designed to harm others will ultimately result in their own self-destruction. Human history is full of examples. Certain Ancient Egyptian Pharos, Roman emperors, Modern tyrants like Hitler, Mao, Stalin, and even some current globalist politicians in the same mold, who are misusing modern science and technology for personal gain, come to mind.

So, before you start trying to manifest your unique vision of reality, and before you agree to follow a visionary who wants to change reality by ushering in a “new world order”, look at the nature of the actions required, and look at the results of the actions of individuals who have had similar aspirations in the past. “You shall know them by the fruits of their actions.” Be sure that your thoughts and actions are good and not evil.

Can we affect future reality with focused thoughts and actions? Yes. But if those attempting to impose their vision of reality on the world lack the spiritual virtue to know the difference between good and evil, they will certainly reap the results of their actions. Make sure that you are on the side of the good of Primary Consciousness, not the evil of false gods before you seek to re-imagine reality.

A NEW APPROACH, PART NINETEEN: REALITY EXPLAINS ITSELF

A NEW APPROACH, PART NINETEEN: REALITY EXPLAINS ITSELF

© Copyright 2022, Edward R. Close, PhD

I am aware that the threads contributing to the central theme of this series of posts may be difficult to follow. We are dealing with a number of new concepts, ranging from simple to complex, that are addressed by TDVP. These new concepts may seem unrelated until you realize that every aspect of reality is intimately connected to every other aspect of reality at the deepest level. Physically, that deepest level is the quantum level, and quantum level phenomena cannot be understood by applying analyses that were designed on the macroscale before we knew that physical reality is quantized on the quantum scale. Unfortunately, problems and paradoxes generally cannot be resolved within the paradigm that created them: A new paradigm is needed.

When the existing mainstream paradigm has ripened to the point where all but a few insignificant details have been filled in, science must go through a major paradigm shift in order to proceed. TDVP is the major paradigm shift needed today. Expansion of the basic scientific assumptions to enable science to include consciousness and spiritual phenomena has been needed for a long time. By revising the assumption of objectivity to expand science beyond simple materialism, TDVP has resolved the problems of conflicting theories, and has explained many things that were either not addressed at all, or only poorly explained by mainstream science.

From Simplicity to Complexity in a Few Easy Steps                                         As human beings, we find ourselves in the middle of a reality that stretches from the unimaginably small to the unimaginably large, extending in all directions in three-dimensional space. When we are born, we seem to have awakened in the middle of a confusion of human drama that stretches from the far distant past, into an uncertain future, along an imaginary one-dimensional timeline defined by events, good, bad, and everything in between, occurring in the past, present, and future.

In the mainstream scientific models developed prior to TDVP, objectivity was assumed to be completely independent of the consciousness of the observer. This unwarranted assumption led to a number of conceptual contradictions and paradoxes at the quantum level. The paradoxes found in science result from errors in the models constructed by the scientists, not in objective reality. Reality reflects the stability of the proton, the most stable object in the universe, with patterns repeating endlessly, not the chaos and instability that conflicts between quantum reality and everyday macro reality would cause.

Rather than deal with the unwarranted assumption, mainstream scientists choose to call the conflicts in their paradigm “quantum weirdness” and say things like “If you aren’t shocked by quantum physics, then you haven’t understood it!” and “Just accept the weirdness and move on!” For nearly 100 years, mainstream scientists have tried to patch the two main theories of physics: relativity and quantum mechanics together by trying to explain the stability of the proton with odd concepts and ephemeral particles like gluons and the Higgs boson, with little real success. The theories just got more complex and even weirder with dimensionless, massless particles that somehow impart mass to other particles. As it turns out, physical reality is not made of solid particles, it is made of rotating and expanding energy and consciousness.

In TDVP, on the other hand, we have gone back to the basic assumption of objectivity and included the consciousness of the observer in the model as one of the dimensions of reality. We represent the dimensional domain of this world that we experience through the senses, with the notation 3S-1t-1c, where S represents space, t represents time, and c stands for the individual consciousness of an observer, and the integer in front of each letter is the number of dimensions of that type. The reality contained in the 3S-1t-1c dimensional domain is only a small part of the totality of existence, the part revealed by the filters of our limited physical senses. We know now that more than 95% of reality is not apprehended by human physical senses because it is either simply not detected by the senses, and/or it is not physical.

It is only with the recent discovery of gimmel, the non-physical part of reality, that actually makes the proton so stable, and logical and technological extensions of our mental acuity and physical senses, that we have become minimally aware of the larger, non-physical part of reality. The comprehensive model of reality that we call TDVP incorporates both physical and non-physical phenomena. It is also important to note that the results of TDVP analyses upholds and verifies Einstein’s assertion that space and time “claim no existence of their own.” They are dimensional parameters of the external structure of the combined mass, energy and consciousness contained within n-dimensional domains.

In the TDVP model, the dynamic phenomena that make up objective reality are further described as consisting of measurable amounts of mass, energy, and consciousness, existing in finite dimensional domains having at least nine measurable dimensions. This is indicated by the notation 3S-3T-3C. The letters S, T, and C are capitalized in this notation, as opposed to the lower-case t and c in the notation 3S-1t-1c, to reflect the difference between what exists in reality and what is perceived by the physical senses of a human observer.

The triadic structure of 3S-3T-3C dimensions is not arbitrary. It reflects a mathematical invariance inherent in dimensional domains. I discovered this invariance while applying the process of dimensional extrapolation, and in the development of the quantum calculus (CoDD). Dimensional extrapolation is the name I gave the process of moving the focus of analysis from a dimensional domain with n dimensions, into the next dimensional domain, i.e., the n+1 dimensional domain, where the number n can be any positive integer.

Calculating the value of the unitary projection from a domain with a given number of dimensions, n, into the next domain with n+1 dimensions, we find that it is always an nth root of unity, which becomes the consistent unit of measurement for the added dimension of the expanded (n+1)-dimensional domain. After each series of three projections, the unit of projection out of the n-D domain into the (n+1)-D domain is an increasingly more complex number. This sequence of increasingly more complex units is consistent with the fact that the contents of dimensional domains become more and more complex with each additional dimension, exhibiting more detail and increasingly subtle qualities, as the phenomena become more hyper-dimensional.

In addition to the measurable variables of dimensions, there are measurable variables related to the contents of the dimensional domains. They are the variables measuring mass, energy, and conscious content. Proof of the following statement is straight forward, but beyond the scope of this post.

In the quantum calculus (CoDD) all variables can only take on integer values because all phenomena in physical reality are quantized.

The integer value (1, 2, 3, …) of a given variable in an observation will be a specific whole number, depending on the phenomenon being observed and measured. The quantized mathematical measurements of objective phenomena existing in the nine finite dimensional domains represented by 3S-3T-3C are variables of three types: 1) variables of extent defining the boundaries of the space-time-consciousness domain containing the phenomena; 2) variables of content defining the substance of the space-time-consciousness phenomena contained within the domain; and 3) variables of intent defining the quality, meaning, and purpose of the phenomena being measured.

In the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions (CoDD) the basic units of measurement are three-dimensional, having the same volume as the free electron, and an expression that completely describes the form and substance of a finite object occupying a finite portion of reality will have nine dimensions and three categories of content. Thus, a complete description of the object will be a function of twelve variables. But an expression for the same object observed through the five physical senses of the average human being, is a function of only eight variables, written as f(x,y,z,t1,c1,m,E,C) in conventional mathematical notation.

Because the quantum equivalence units of the calculus of dimensional distinctions are three dimensional, the development of a whole new system of mathematical notation is necessary. Even the fundamental operations of mathematics have to be redefined in the new system. I developed the basics of this system between 1986 and 1989, and published it in Infinite Continuity, a book released in1990. Unfortunately, this book is no longer in print, but I have reproduced most of the theorems and their proofs in other papers and books, including in an appendix of Transcendental Physics, a book published in 1997, available on Amazon.com.

The development of a new mathematical system is not a trivial task - see for instance, G. Spencer Brown’s elegant work, Laws of Form – so I will not try to reproduce it here for several reasons, including its length and the necessity of introducing a totally new and different type of notation that is very hard to reproduce in this format. Also, this discussion is not intended to be a rigorous scientific paper. It is an attempt to explain, to the best of my ability, in terms that anyone can understand, the need for, basis of, and importance of the calculus of dimensional distinctions.

In his book, Laws of Form, G. Spencer Brown develops a primary calculus and uses it to derive the laws governing the innate forms of objective reality, He starts by saying that the severing of a space brings a whole universe into existence. Symbolizing the act of the severance of a space with a distinguishing mark indicating the difference perceived between the inside and outside of a finite closed space, he uses the symbol in two equations, one expressing contraction and expansion, the other expressing the reversal of distinction, or cancellation. Then he uses these equations as the initial equations of the primary calculus, a system of logic that he calls the calculus of indications.

Using this primary calculus, he proves a number of theorems that reflect the general logical form that bears a remarkable resemblance to the finite structures that we observe in the physical universe, and the logical structure of systems in human thought, ranging from the structures of atoms to the structure of biological systems, to human languages. The calculus of dimensional distinctions is similar to Brown’s calculus of indications, with some significant differences.

It is truly amazing that, if, as Brown’s work strongly suggests, all of the complexities of the physical universe follow automatically from the simple act of the drawing a distinction. But, even though Professor Brown begins his development of the calculus of indications by defining the basic unit of calculation as the drawing of a distinction between inside and outside by a conscious entity, he adheres to the unwarranted assumption of the object’s independence of the existence and state of consciousness of the observer by leaving consciousness out of the formulation of the calculus. This exclusion makes the logic of the calculus binary. The inclusion of consciousness in the quantum calculus of TDVP makes its logic tertiary.

The perception of a 3S-3T-3C phenomenon by individuals (human or other sentient beings) may vary, and they may be incomplete relative to the reality being observed. Depending upon a given observer’s state of consciousness, the dimensional domains perceived will have different numbers of S, T, and C dimensions, ranging from 1 to 3. The difference can be indicated by writing the number of dimensions in front of the S, T, and C. If, for a given observer, the number of dimensions in either space, time, or consciousness is less than 3, then S, T, or C will be written in lowercase, indicating that the observation is an incomplete perception of reality. Dr. Neppe and I have called this individual perception indivension. For example, the notation describing the observational domain of the average human being at this time in the planetary time cycle is 3S-1t-1c, totaling five dimensions, but a person with expanded consciousness who can see 3S-2t-1c, e.g., would, in effect be aware of a quantum plane of time containing a range of possible futures, and would have a scientifically describable view of reality, known now as a psychic ability.

Depending upon how many and which kind of dimensions of reality a given conscious being is able to perceive, that person will be clairvoyant, telepathic, or even all-knowing. Such abilities are very rare at this point in planetary time because we are still more than 10,000 years away from the next high point in consciousness evolution. For a more detailed description of the periodic cycles of planetary time, see The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, who is Paramahansa Yogananda’s Guru, and Secrets of the Sacred Cube, a cosmic love story by Ed & Jacqui Close.

By application of the TRUE analysis of TDVP, Primary Consciousness is revealed as the only reality.

[I often refer to the quantum calculus (CoDD) analysis of reality as TRUE analysis, because the quantum equivalence unit based on the rest mass and volume of the electron, is the Triadic Rotational Unit of Equivalence, which is a volumetric, i.e., three-dimensional, unit of measurement.]

The finite structures appearing in the 3S-1t dimensional domain that we know through the physical senses as the physical universe, are incomplete, or partial manifestations of logical patterns existing in Primary Consciousness. And each conscious soul contains quanta of Primary Consciousness, acting like a seed that has the potential of eventually growing into a state of Oneness with Primary Consciousness.

The Human Condition

We are seeds of Primary Consciousness and the only meaningful purpose of finite reality is to provide a field in which we can grow if we choose to. Everything that enhances spiritual growth and increases our chances of fulfilling our potential is good, and anything that hampers or blocks spiritual progress, is counter to the purpose for which finite reality exists, and is therefore, evil. This is the true definition of good and evil. The opportunity to choose either good or evil and progress or regress spiritually, is the true purpose of life. That choice is often a difficult one, but you can know what is good and evil, who is good and who is evil by the fruits of their actions.

Every thought and willful action of a soul identifying itself with a physical body has an effect on that soul’s physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Actions that a soul chooses to take, that results in healthy physical, mental, and spiritual growth, moving the soul toward the goal of Cosmic Consciousness, expands that soul’s individualized consciousness, and actions chosen that result in diminishing or reversing spiritual growth, causes that soul’s individualized consciousness to contract.

The trauma of being born, ejected painfully from a warm, secure place where we have no unfulfilled needs, and thrust into a frightening world over which we have no control, causes us to forget our past, and forces us to deal with an unknown future over which we have no control. No wonder babies cry when going through the ordeal of being born into this world! Only the natural love between mother and child makes this ordeal tolerable. Each of us has to deal with this world of pain and potential suffering while in a limited, still forming physical, mental, and spiritual body that makes up our existence as an individual soul. The trauma of this transition causes us to forget who we are, and we begin to believe in the illusion of beginnings and ends. Forced into this dichotomy, our lives in the delusion of duality on this planet begins.

Within that slowly forming organism we come to know as our own  body, we have a brain, a biological physical object with amazing complexity of structure and potential. It is, however, at any point in three-dimensional space and one-dimensional time, finite, and thus it is an uncomfortable confinement for the mind, which is the thinking part of the soul, a quantum of infinite intelligence. And so, upon birth into a new physical body, we begin to live in the basic dichotomy, a dualistic or binary existence at the interface between the finite and the infinite, the discrete and the infinitely continuous. The effort to understand reality from this waystation on the threshold of Infinity is overwhelming for the finite physical brain, but the infinite mind instinctively knows that it is possible to advance through expanded states of consciousness, toward the perfection of the soul. Just before the time of birth, at the time of death, and in deep sleep, we are on the threshold of a transcendental state of consciousness. See Part One in this series, entitled The Threshold, posted on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021.

As spiritually evolving souls, we have willfully chosen to separate ourselves temporarily from the Infinite to experience the painful descent into finite reality by being born on this little planet, even though we know that to survive here, we must identify with a limited physical body with all of its inherent suffering and pain. Why? Because we desire to be with family and friends we knew in past lives and experience the wonders of the physical universe.

When consciousness is condensed this far, however, and confined to limited awareness to the point of identifying completely with a physical body, we eventually feel our separation from the Infinite intensely, and feel that we are trapped in an inescapable situation, as an uncomfortable speck of painful awareness lost in a vast sea of tumultuous competing forces, over which we have no control. When partially awakened, we begin to realize that we have given up the freedom and joy of spiritual existence, and we may find ourselves in the state of despair that is called the dark night of the soul. The only escape to be found is by turning back to the love of the Infinite.

In the depths of our consciousness, we know that we are immortal souls, and that the suffering of birth, life, and death, is a process of purification that is necessary in order for us, as seeds of Primary Consciousness, to learn and grow, and eventually become whole spiritual beings. The illusion of time is the barrier that separates us from the goal of eternal Oneness, from which we have fallen, but never completely separated. Life is just something that happens again and again until our consciousness is expanded to the point that are fully aware of what and who we are.

INTELLIGENCE, ENLIGHTENMENT, AND REALITY

Neppe and Close

ON INTELLIGENCE, ENLIGHTENMENT,

AND THE NATURE OF REALITY

The human intellect is finite, self-referential, devotedly self-centered, and its own best friend and worst enemy. Sometimes it obscures more than it illuminates, and Its most devious activity, which it even hides from itself, is the continuous frantic shoring up of the delusional belief that the real world is consistent with its carefully created conceptual view of itself and reality. The more intelligent and logically efficient the individual human mind, the more insidious this self-deception becomes.

Each of us has developed or adopted our own conceptual model of reality that seems to us to be very real. However, an individual conceptual model existing in the mind, even if internally consistent, is often found to be inconsistent with the conceptual models of others, and it is very unlikely that any of them are entirely consistent with reality. With a limited correspondence to realty, our views of the world are more or less manageable finite models of reality, existing only within our skulls. But, because we each believe that our own conceptual model is actually reality itself, we build up all sorts of walls of internally consistent logic to protect it from the intrusive influence of any other world view that might conflict with it, and even from actual, existing reality. To the extent that an individual’s mental world appears to coincide with the consensus worldview of the society in which he or she resides, even though that consensus is also very unlikely to coincide with reality as it actually exists, that individual is considered to be reasonably sane and knowledgeable.

At this point in human history, most of us tire, quite early in life, of having to work to find truth for ourselves. This makes us very vulnerable to the influences of ready-made imaginary conceptual consensus worldviews created by various political, religious, and educational organizations whose leaders seek to control us under the pretense that they are more enlightened than we are, or that their beliefs are truths revealed by someone who is, or was, more enlightened and aware of the nature of reality than we are.

This brings up a series of important questions related to the concepts of worldviews and truth. Let’s start with: 1) What is truth? 2) What is enlightenment? 3) Are there many levels of truth and enlightenment? 4) Who is qualified to say what truth is? 4) Is there an ultimate or final state of enlightenment? And 5) If there is an ultimate state of enlightenment, has anyone ever attained that state?

Beginning with the question of what is truth? I submit that a statement is true, if and only if, it corresponds 100% with reality. That, of course, raises deeper questions: Exactly what is the true nature of reality? Is it mutable or immutable? That is to say, is reality absolute and changeless, or is it evolving?  If it is immutable, then it cannot be affected by what we do or think about it. If it is evolving, then we must ask: is it changing in response to our thoughts and actions, or is it altogether independent of us, changing randomly, or evolving toward definite goals according to its own rules? And, finally, are we, or can we ever be, capable of knowing reality well enough to determine whether our conceptualizations of it are true or not?

At first thought, it would seem that there are two possible answers to the question of whether we can know reality: Either we are capable of knowing reality, or we are not. The answer is that, as finite physical beings, we can, if reality is finite, and if our physical brains contain, or can evolve to contain, enough cells, circuits, and synapses to correspond with the complexity of reality. And the answer is we cannot, if reality is infinite, unless our cognition is not limited to the capabilities of the physical brain. So, now we see that there are two even deeper questions that we must ask and answer first, in order to address this cascade of important questions, they are: Is reality finite or infinite? And is consciousness capable of operating outside of the physical body and beyond the functions of the brain?

At last we come to core questions that can and must be answered conclusively. Not only is there a growing mountain of solid evidence generated by scientists who have the courage to go beyond the limits of the current mainstream paradigm of materialistic physicalism, despite establishment censorship, but there is also a growing number of people who have had personal experiences of consciousness outside of and beyond the physical body and brain, who are speaking up.

As a scientist with both overwhelmingly positive experimental evidence that the physical universe is an epiphenomenal series of forms arising from the substrate of Primary Consciousness, and direct personal experience of my own consciousness operating outside of my physical brain and body, I can answer the last question above, without hesitation, in the affirmative. It should be understood that the acceptance of this evidence and experience constitutes a real paradigm shift from the assumption that consciousness is an epiphenomenon of physical reality, to a paradigm recognizing consciousness as fundamental, if not primary.

Consciousness definitely can function outside of, and beyond the physical body. I have seen evidence of it in meticulous experimental data, and experienced it myself, in near-death experiences (NDEs) and out-of-body experiences (OBEs). I have written about this in Secrets of the Sacred Cube, a Cosmic Love Story, Close, ER and JA, 2019. From the perspective of the multi-dimensional field of primary consciousness, which mainstream physicists call the zero point field (ZPF), the body’s brain and nervous system acts primarily as a receiver of the logical patterns of primary consciousness, and secondarily as a transmitter and organizer of the logical patterns of consciousness in the physical world.

Working our way backward, the next question we can answer is: “Is reality finite or infinite?” All the evidence points to the conclusion that reality is infinite. Mainstream science generally treats reality as finite, only because their tools of observation and measurement have a finite range of application. But as we refine the tools and discover more of reality, the finite reality that physical scientists are studying is constantly expanding and changing. This is why science is always incomplete. This is why the history of science shows many examples of radical changes in the body of statements considered to be scientific facts.

Also, Gӧdel’s incompleteness theorems prove that any representation of science as an internally consistent system of logic can never be complete. Thus, all internally consistent logical systems are capable of expansion. In addition, the red shift in light from distant stars indicates that the physical universe also follows this pattern of expansion into the unknown. So, even if a valid model of the physical universe can be said to be finite at any given moment in time, dynamic reality will expand beyond that, in the next instant. This conclusion that reality is functionally infinite brings us to a point where we can answer all of the questions posed above. Let’s take them in the order:

1) What is truth? Answer: 100% correspondence with reality. 1a) What is the nature of reality? Answer: Reality is the totality of everything that exists. 1b) Can we ever be aware of reality? Answer: Yes. That is the function of the mind and the senses.1c) Is reality finite or infinite? Answer: Reality is dynamically infinite. 1d) Do our thoughts and actions affect dynamic reality, does reality change according to specific discoverable rules, or does it change randomly? Answer: Our actions do affect reality, and reality does not appear to change completely randomly, as evidenced by the existence of the many verifiable deterministic laws of physical science. 1e) is consciousness capable of operating outside of the physical body and beyond the electrical and chemical functions of the physical brain? Yes, at least to a limited degree, and perhaps it will behave more and more that way as reality evolves. 2) What is enlightenment? Answer: Awareness and understanding of the nature of reality. 3) Are there various levels of truth and enlightenment? Answer: Yes. Distribution of the levels of enlightenment in individual consciousness beings forms a normal bell-shaped curve, and the body of truthful knowledge expands with the increasing levels of enlightenment. 4) Who is qualified to say what truth and enlightenment are? Answer: The most enlightened among us. 4) Is there an ultimate or final state of enlightenment? Answer: Yes there must be, but it is a moving target, due to the dynamically infinite nature of reality. 5) Has anyone ever attained the ultimate state of enlightenment? Answer: Yes, I believe so, but I cannot prove it.

This last answer requires additional explanation and some careful exploration of the interface of our individual consciousness with reality. These answers bring us to the deepest level of finite cognition, on the threshold of infinite continuity, where we have several choices. The road most travelled is the acceptance of the teachings of established authorities with blind faith and belief. Another choice is indulgence in self-deception, and a third choice is the search for conscious enlightenment. However, the analogy of forks in the road is not strictly valid because the three choices enumerated here are not mutually exclusive. Combinations of the three are open to us. Each of us must decide.

As I  said, I believe there are ultimately enlightened beings, but I cannot prove it. Of course, it will be a great thing if ultimate enlightenment exists and if help is available to us from that level of intelligence and knowledge. But we cannot prove that an ultimately enlightened being exists because if such a being does exist, then by definition, that being exists both within, and outside of, and beyond, the domain of finite beings and finite logical systems. Fortunately, however, this inability to comprehend is a one-way feature of an infinite reality, because, while you may be unable to fully perceive the world and functional existence of a completely enlightened being, such a being, if one exists, can be aware of you and your world. There are two ways that this one-way restriction can be understood: by analogy, and by inductive mathematical proof of the existence of levels of intelligence superior to finite human intelligence.

As an analogy, consider an individual living micro-organism on your body, or in your immediate environment. While that specific micro-organism is able to act within its miniature world, and react to its environment with a natural rudimentary form of intelligence, it is unaware of your existence unless something you do affects it directly, and even then, it has no way of knowing anything about you, your world, or your level of intelligence. If something you do affects its world, it will be experienced by the micro-organism as part of its natural reality. If a fully enlightened being exists, then the analogy is that the micro-organism is to you as you are to the fully enlightened being.

From a mathematical point of view, when a quantum calculus with a multi-dimensional quantum-equivalence unit and validated Diophantine (quantum integer) theorems are applied to the physics of the proton, as Dr. Vernon Neppe and I have done in TDVP, we find that there would be no stable atomic structure without the existence of a non-physical form of the substance of reality. Many papers, several books, and a number of posts on this blog have been published detailing this discovery and its implications. This non-physical feature of reality, which we call gimmel, guides the development of physical reality in an intelligent and purposeful manner. The existence of a Primary Intelligence acting prior to the development of the physical universe is revealed by inductive reasoning, and the existence of a spectrum of conscious enlightened beings operating between Primary Intelligence and human intelligence, is revealed by deductive reasoning. Again, it is important to note that this is the beginning of a paradigm shift from the assumption that matter is primary to the realization that consciousness is primary.

Why is this important? Because when a new scientific paradigm is introduced, people capable of funding the needed research into its validity naturally ask established scientists to evaluate it. But most scientists who are well-established in the current paradigm, will be totally incapable of evaluating an actual paradigm shift. A recent example of a panel of scientists with training in mathematical physics asked to evaluate TDVP (the Neppe-Close Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm) will serve as an example.

Reviewers reviewed a single unpublished Close-Neppe paper and noted, as a negative comment, that they could find no references to some of the key terms of TDVP in papers in mainstream mathematics and physics journals. It apparently did not occur to them that if they found such references, it would prove that they were not new ideas. Also, one reviewer confidently declared that, contrary to our conclusion that gimmel, the non-physical aspect of reality discovered by mathematical analysis as reported in the paper, there was no evidence of consciousness in atomic or sub-atomic structures. Then later, the same reviewer admitted that science currently has no idea what consciousness is. The question one has to ask this reviewer is: How can you declare no evidence of something, if you don’t know what you are looking for?

Although a fair number of qualified scientists have expressed confidence in TDVP as a real paradigm shift, there are several more examples of the type of current-paradigm circular reasoning highlighted above offered by mainstream scientists. It appears that Max Planck was right when he said:

“A scientific truth does not triumph by convincing its opponents and making them see the light, but rather because its opponents eventually die, and a new generation grows up that is familiar with it. … Science progresses from funeral to funeral.”

Dr. Neppe and I – and a few other competent scientists who have reviewed it - are convinced that TDVP, based on the sound experimental data of the Large Hadron Collider and the logic of quantum calculus analysis, is a valid paradigm shift from the limited scientific materialism of today’s mainstream science, to the broader consciousness-based science of the future. We are definitely not following the road most travelled, even though our new paradigm preserves much of the mainstream paradigm, while expanding it to include consciousness. Are we on the path of self-delusion, or enlightenment? It's up to you to decide.

BELIEF AND REALITY, MEANING AND PURPOSE

THE MEANING AND PURPOSE OF EXISTENCE
©Edward R. Close  2019

Disclaimer: What I have to say in this article, especially about the role of gimmel in Reality, meaning and purpose, is my opinion and mine alone. I make no claim as to who else may or may not share my views.

BELIEF AND REALITY
Your life is determined by what you believe. And for most people now inhabiting physical bodies on this planet, what you believe depends upon the amount of Reality you have experienced directly yourself, plus that which you accept as real from what others have told you. But that which others tell you may be true, partially true, or it may not be true at all. So be careful what you accept as true, accept nothing blindly, put it to the test of Reality as you know it. To the extent that what you believe is identical with Reality, your life will be what it is meant to be. When what you believe becomes 100% identical with Reality, you will have reached the Great Goal of Conscious Existence. But this is a rare condition for inhabitants of this planet at this point in time. One only reaches that level of consciousness when the time is right, and the Mind is ready. The process of reaching the state wherein you are capable of realizing that goal is called spiritual evolution. Thus it is of utmost importance to look often, and deeply, into what you believe. Your happiness, your well-being and your future depend upon it.

THE DISCOVERY OF GIMMEL
Why do I bring gimmel up in this context? Because it is a direct link to a major part of the universe that is not available to the physical senses. The vast majority of Reality is not available to us through our physical senses because it is composed of non-physical gimmel. A major part of Reality is, in this sense, hidden. This is not a flaw in the way the universe is created, it is a necessary limitation on the physical vehicles of evolving souls. I discovered gimmel in 2012, while in the process of developing a system of quantum mathematics and applying it to quantal descriptions of the combinations of the elementary particles that form the atomic elements that make up the universe we experience. I realized immediately that this was the first step necessary in putting consciousness into the equations of science, something I had been seeking to do since the 1970s when I wrote The Book of Atma.

QUANTUM REALITY: MASS, ENERGY AND GIMMEL
Stable Reality is made up of quanta of mass, energy and gimmel. There would be no stable atomic structure without gimmel. The precise combinations of quanta of the three forms of Reality, mass, energy and gimmel, that make up the physical reality of quarks, protons, neutrons, and atoms, are calculable fairly easily using the quantum math we call the calculus of dimensional distinctions. The paradigm shift from the current mainstream materialistic paradigm to the Reality of mass. energy and consciousness, that we call the Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP), is derived directly from the data of the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) using mathematics available to anyone conversant with high school algebra and geometry. The derivation of the new scientific paradigm, including consciousness in the equations, has been published in several venues available to anyone, including this blog site. It has been validated by explaining paradoxes and experimental observations and data that are not explainable in the current mainstream paradigm.

REALITY IS A UNIVERSE OF MEANING AND PURPOSE
With the discovery and validation of gimmel, and its role in the evolution of the physical universe, we now know that the evolving universe is not the result of random processes, it is the purposeful and meaningful evolution of physical organisms to act as vehicles through which individualized manifestations of Spirit can experience physical reality. Consciousness, as the manifestation and expression of Primary Consciousness (traditionally called Spirit) in the physical universe, is primary, with gimmel as its agent, organizing stable structures of matter and energy in the continuing formation of the universe for the purpose of the spiritual evolution of individuals from the bare awareness of self from other-than self, to Cosmic Consciousness. The fact that the percentage of non-physical gimmel in the elements that make up the universe known to our current science is identical to the percentage of so-called dark matter and dark energy detected by the Hubble Probe, is evidence that the universe, not just this planet, is structured by Primary Consciousness for the purpose of the development of living organisms capable of being controlled by individualized consciousness for the purpose of spiritual evolution. (Calculation of the volumetric ratio of gimmel to Hadronic matter and energy, showing its correspondence to Hubble Probe data has also been published by Neppe and Close.)

TIME, SPACE AND CONSCIOUSNESS
Just as mass, energy and gimmel are the triad of variables of substance, or content of Reality, time, space and conscious imagery are the triad of variables of extent, in which the substance is contained as stable manifestations of the logic of Primary Consciousness. They are created by the stable existence of mass, energy and gimmel, and have no existence of their own. Thus Consciousness is Primary and omnipresent, as the ocean must seem to the fish who dwell deep within it; gimmel is secondary, as the organizer, and matter and energy are tertiary. All of this is describable with the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions as nine dimensional domains nested within the infinity of Primary Consciousness.
