Introduction

Individual self-awareness is a spiritual gift that was received by certain lucky lifeforms existing on this planet about 6000 years ago. The gift of gifts was bestowed by a vastly more advanced form of consciousness than we now possess, for which we should be forever grateful, because those lifeforms were our ancestors. The sublime gift of individual self-awareness, however, includes the double-edged sword of free will, which makes the prospect of an individual, unassisted by any more advanced entity, accelerating the natural expansion of his or her awareness a daunting, if not almost impossible challenge. At this point in this 12,000-year cycle of planetary time, as spiritual beings occupying physical forms, we have a limited measure of free will, with only a few options to choose from. But the choices we make are critical. They determine, through the inexorable rules of cause and effect, whether we will advance, stall, or regress on our long twisted and tortured journey toward the perfection of Cosmic Consciousness in this lifetime.

Some of the choices that are open to us are good and some are bad with respect to the advancement of our physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. We have enough intelligence in the innate brain power of the physical forms of our species to analyze our circumstances from day-to-day and make good choices - if we keep the purpose of life and the goal of spiritual advancement in mind. But this is hard. The most basic fundamental choice we have to make is the choice of accepting or rejecting the existence of a higher or perfected form of Primary Consciousness as the source of our being and the reality we experience. If we make the right decision, then the eventual realization of our identity as part of, or perhaps even one with the Infinite is our reason for existing, the purpose of life and our ultimate goal. Whether you choose to work with or against the purpose of existence and the logical structure of the physical, mental, and spiritual reality created for that purpose, is up to you.

In the past and future, forever existing in three-dimensional time, the average spiritual virtue of conscious beings once was and will again become much more highly developed than it is now. In those times, average individual conscious beings communicate with each other by the speed-of-light transmission of mental images formed in the individual fields of finite reality by a process that can best be described as the sending and receiving of integrated forms of the complete continuum of energies radiating from objects existing in reality. That spectrum includes the quantized energy frequencies that are received through the five physical senses. The perceptions of light, sound, taste, touch, and smell that we associate with specific objects are relatively small fragments of the total perception that is possible for an individual whose consciousness is fully expanded.

When we realize that the gifts of conscious self-awareness and freewill that were bestowed on our ancestors and passed down to us in our DNA make it possible that by choosing wisely, we can eventually become sufficiently advanced physically, mentally, and spiritually to be able to receive and re-create multi-dimensional images accurately reflecting the manifold forms existing in reality and transmit them as meaningful thought forms to other conscious beings, we will be motivated to do everything we can to accelerate the expansion of consciousness. Currently, however, the average individual is effectively imprisoned in a physical body, with perceptions of objective reality fragmented by the quantum mechanical processes of the physical sense organs, and consequently, limited almost completely to indirect interactions with reality and with other conscious beings. Communication of our thoughts is further limited by the uncertainties of language, illogical expression, and the confusion of spoken and written words.

In this post, I am trying to explain some very subtle, complex concepts in terms that anyone can understand. What makes this more challenging than it should be, is the fact that certain key words that I must use are used by others, with different educational and experiential backgrounds, to mean something slightly different than what I mean when I use them. In the context of the TDVP model, there are key words that have very specific meanings, so I must define them as clearly as I can. They are sometimes used in contemporary society in vague and confusing ways. For example, we often hear the word “dimension” used instead of the correct reference, which would be “dimensional domain”.

Saying that we can “see dimensions” or that we may experience “being in another dimension” are inaccurate and improper uses of the term. Dimensions cannot be seen because, as Einstein said, space and time have no existence of their own. We can see objects that have dimensions, but we cannot see dimensions; and no one and nothing can exist in a single dimension. I have defined key words like dimension in other posts, videos, and various publications about Transcendental Physics and the CoDD, but to avoid the confusion that results from a reader thinking that key words mean something different than what I intend them to mean, I will provide the appropriate key definitions here so that you don’t have to stop to look them up elsewhere.

Reality: Everything that exists

Existence: Anything that can be experienced directly or indirectly as objectively measurable forms of mass, energy, and consciousness

Mass: The one-dimensional measure of the resistance of a real object to motion

Energy: The one-dimensional measure of the total force of  angular and/or linear momentum of a real object or system of objects

Vortex: A multi-dimensional object rotating in three or more dimensions (Plural: vortices)

[Note: Rigid physical particles cannot rotate in more than one plane at a time, but vortices can, and quantal vortices combine volumetrically, not linearly. This fact, in conjunction with the combinatorial restrictions required by Fermat’s last theorem applied to objects of three or more dimensions, limits the number of elementary vortices that can combine to form a stable complex object to three.]

Dimensions: Two-dimensional measurements of extent in space, time, and/or consciousness

Space: A three-dimensional volume created by the existence of real objects

Time: The extent of duration of events that change real objects in any way

Consciousness: The partial or complete multi-dimensional awareness of reality

Distinction: any finite form that can be distinguished from the rest of reality in any way (Synonym: conceptual object)

Manifold form: A multi-dimensional shape of three or more dimensions

Mathematics: A broad term that includes all logical forms of objective numeric, algebraic, and geometric calculation

Calculation: The process of transforming one distinct objective form into another one, that is equivalent to, but different from the original form by applying one or more of the fundamental operations of mathematical logic

Calculus: A logically consistent system of operations designed to perform mathematical calculations

The Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions (CoDD): A calculus with the basic rules of  mathematical operations re-defined for calculation in the arithmetic, algebra, and geometry of multi-dimensional distinctions based on the measurable physical characteristics of the electron.

The Origin of Logic and the Structure of Reality

Pure mathematical logic arises in human thought as a reflection of the innate structure of a primary form of consciousness existing in all of physical reality, including in the physical structure of our brains. Because of this, a system of mathematical logic using the mass and volume of the smallest and most elementary stable object in the universe, the free electron, as the basic unit of quantum measurement, is arguably the most appropriate calculus we could possibly use to analyze the quantized reality of the physical universe. That is exactly what the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions (CoDD), mentioned so often in these posts, is. Application of this calculus to analyze the physical combination of two up quarks and one down quark combining to form a proton, the building block of the stable structure of the physical universe, was the logical place to start, and that application led directly to the discovery of gimmel, the organizing factor conveying the logical structure of Primary Consciousness into physical form at the quantum level of atomic structure.

Mass, Energy, Space, Time, and Gimmel

The next logical step after the analysis of the proton and the discovery of the existence of gimmel, was a CoDD analysis of the simplest atom, the hydrogen atom, which consists of one electron and one proton. What that analysis and subsequent applications of CoDD analysis to the atoms of the periodic table reveals about the nature of reality and the relationship between physical reality and consciousness was simply amazing! More than fifty problems and paradoxes unresolved in the standard model of particle physics were resolved by the discovery of the existence of gimmel. Most of the results of the CoDD analyses have been published in journal articles, blogposts, and books. Lists of dozens of relevant references in the blogsite archives can be accessed by searching for references on the opening page of this blog, and a few of the most relevant are listed at the end of this post. The results of applying the quantum calculus, sometimes called TRUE analysis in the references, agree exactly, or within measurement error, with experimental data and with the conclusions of prominent paradigm breakers like Max Planck and Albert Einstein.

In the last appendix added to the last edition of Einstein’s little book, Relativity, the Special and the General Theory, in which he provided “a clear explanation that anyone can understand” in 1952, less than three years before he died in 1955, he concluded that space and time have no physical existence of their own. Applications of the CoDD confirm this conclusion, but it is also true that measurement of the spatial and temporal dimensions of physical objects and events creates the illusions of space and time and reveals the structure of the manifold forms of objective reality.

Like space and time, gimmel has no mass or energy, but the existence of specific calculable volumes of gimmel in the protons, neutrons, and electron shells of atoms, explains why the measured mass of atoms that form the physical universe is always greater than the combined mass of the quarks and electrons that are in them. It is because when gimmel expands the spacetime volume of atomic structure to make the atoms stable, it increases the total angular momentum of each atom, which also increases the total mass revealed in experimental data. In this way, gimmel creates the space, time, mass, and energy that counteracts the losses of mass and energy that would otherwise occur due to the vortical expansion of the physical universe.

The existence of gimmel in the vortices of the nuclei and the electron energy shells not only fine tunes the physical structure of atoms to make them symmetric, but it also balances them magnetically and electrically. This internal self-contained stability created by the existence of gimmel in atomic sub-structure eliminates the need for phantom particles that impart mass and create mysterious forces to hold the atom together. Without gimmel, there would be no stable atomic structure, and the expansion of the universe toward infinity would accelerate causing reality to approach a state of  maximum entropy in nano seconds, after which there would be no objective reality.

I developed a formal proof of the existence of a non-physical third form of reality linking quantized matter and non-quantum receptors in consciousness in 1995 and displayed it as a poster presentation in 1996 at the Tucson II Toward a Science of Consciousness Conference at the University of Arizona, and published it in Transcendental Physics, Paradigm Press, Jackson Missouri in 1997, but that original proof was expressed in the notation of a precursor of the current form of CoDD that almost no one in mainstream science wanted to try to understand. With the help and encouragement of one who did, world-renowned polymath Dr. Vernon Neppe, a conventional mathematical proof of the existence of the third form of the essence of reality was published in the book Reality Begins with Consciousness in 2015, and it was while preparing to write this book that we decided to call the third form of reality gimmel.

Gimmel Provides More Answers

After a couple of years of additional research and analysis, I realized that gimmel is empirical evidence of a primary form of consciousness conveying logical structure into physical reality at the quantum level by organizing elementary vortices in the infinitely continuous field of reality to form stable atoms. Thus, gimmel is the long-sought-after link between mind and matter. Discovery of gimmel and its role in creating and maintaining stable atomic structure is evidence of the existence and stabilizing impact of a primary form of consciousness in every atom of the physical universe. Discovering the patterns of gimmel in every atom of the universe is like finding the fingerprints of God all over the reality he created!

The existence of gimmel also answers the question that Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz posed more than 300 years ago. He considered this question to be the most important question that science could ever hope to answer when he asked: “Why is there something rather than nothing?” The answer is that there is something rather than nothing because the existence of gimmel makes the stable existence of atomic mass and energy and the measurable dimensions of space and time possible. Furthermore, application of the CoDD to the formation of protons proved that gimmel had to exist before the formation of any stable atomic structure could occur. The prior and continuing existence of gimmel, imprinting the logical structures of consciousness on physical reality, tells us that there was no beginning and can be no end to the existence of physical reality. The forms of reality are continually changing in logical cause-and-effect ways that can be discovered with a sufficiently advanced form of analysis, but the total essence of reality will always exist, in some form.

The inescapable conclusion is that there has always been something; and, consistent with the law of conservation of matter and energy, which must also apply to gimmel, since mass and energy cannot exist without gimmel, there never was, is not, and never will be a state of absolute nothingness. In plain English, there is no such thing as nothing. But, because nothing is, by definition, the absence of something, we have fallen into the mistake of thinking of zero as representing the existence of nothingness. In applications of the CoDD, we see that any that concept that can only be represented as one-dimensional is only conceptual, and not part of objective reality. Zero is a one-dimensional concept indicating the absence of a finite localized subset of objects, not a state of absolute nothingness.

The Quantum Calculus

Setting the basic unit of quantum measurement equal to the mass and volume of the smallest stable energy vortex, which happens to be the free electron, normalized by the quantized nature of reality, and using it as the primary naturalized unit of quantum equivalence, which I call the Triadic Rotational Unit of equivalence (TRUE), ties the CoDD existentially to objective reality. Because of this link to existence, in application, the CoDD is capable of distinguishing a construct of mathematical symbolism that does not actually exist, from those that do. In this way, gimmel logically distinguishes reality from conceptual fantasy.  The process of  adapting a calculus to logic, was developed by G. Spencer Brown in his book Laws of Form. Providing a detailed explanation of that process is beyond the scope of this post, but is worth mentioning here because, to my knowledge, no one else had done this before Brown did in 1962, or since I first did it1989, when I applied the CoDD adapted for logic to several logical paradoxes in physics, and published the results in Infinite Continuity, unfortunately, currently out of print.

Logical Systems and Personal Conceptual Models

Most of us think that what we believe is firmly rooted in reality, but when belief systems are analyzed and traced back to their most fundamental concepts, we find that the basic ideas about reality upon which they are built, are often unproved and/or temporarily unprovable assumptions or beliefs about the nature of reality. Your brain creates conceptual models of reality from data input from the senses during conscious experiences of interactions with the environment as a critical part of physical survival mechanisms. These models are stored in special brain cells modified for that purpose and kept handy for quick reference.

Our personal models of reality are continuously modified, especially when we are young, learning by pain of trial and error about things in the external environment that are dangerous, like hot stoves, venomous snakes, etc. New sensual input is continually compared with relevant details in the conceptual model stored in our brain cells, as our personal model of reality is formed. Because of the importance this model has for our physical survival, it is locked in and accepted by our conscious minds as identical with reality itself. By the time our physical bodies have matured, these models and especially the assumptions buried deep within them, are almost impossible to change.

So, we see that our individual belief systems are based on our conceptual models of reality, not necessarily on what actually exists. We experience reality in a very indirect and fragmented way through the physical senses and given the way beliefs are formed and/or adopted, an individual conscious being’s belief system, regardless of how logical and well thought out it may be, may not reflect what actually exists. When properly analyzed using the CoDD, we find that one or more of the underlying a priori assumptions about the nature of reality in many, if not most belief systems are incorrect. If we want to advance spiritually, we have to find a way to correct our erroneous a priori assumptions and move on into the new domain of reality that becomes available to us in the expanded reality of a new paradigm.

The Purpose

I have written much about logical systems, conceptual models, and the CoDD because of the important role they played in the discovery of gimmel and the important role I believe the CoDD will play in the science of the future. I also believe that, because the calculus made the discovery of gimmel possible, a basic understanding of it should help readers to understand TDVP. But it is even more important as part a conceptual foundation preparing the reader to see that it is possible to accelerate the expansion of individual consciousness. This is the existential core of the message coming through my meditations, and the reason that I am inspired to write. I keep writing because I know that a verbal explanation, no matter how good, can always be better, and I know that I am just a conduit conveying ideas as best I can, not the source, and the source is available to everyone, so, even if I never write another word, someone will pick up the thread and be blessed and/or burdened to receive even more detail than I have. Infinity is a deep well.

I know that this blogpost is already too long, but I am not going to apologize for that because the subject I am trying to cover is wide and deep, and Like Albert Einstein, I sincerely want to provide a clear explanation that anyone can understand. Analytical details, from the logic of CoDD to its application and results, are already available in some form in previous posts and publications, so, for now, I am going to forego describing any more details to connect the dots, and try to make a multi-dimensional quantum leap. Ultimately, my job is not just to teach people how to do math and understand the science, my real mission is to teach you how to expand your consciousness and re-connect with Primary Consciousness and the ultimate experience.

Love is The Ultimate Experience

Love is the most wonderful example of infinity. It resolves all opposites. Pure love is infinitely patient, because the essence of Primary Consciousness (God, if you want to think of it that way) is Love, and in love, everything exists exactly as it is supposed to exist. When you are on the ultimate spiritual path, there are no accidents. Your existence at this place and time is no accident. You are not the result of the accidental sticking together of random bits of matter, define by some as debris flying away from an unexplainable explosion billions of years ago. You are something special. Every atom in every cell of your physical body has a specific number of TRUE organizing units of gimmel embedded in it. Every speck of dirt in the universe has millions of organizing units of gimmel. Without them, the logic and structure of the reality being studied by science, and the scientists themselves, would not exist.

It was no accident that my brilliant research partner, Dr. Vernon Neppe, and I happened to be in Amsterdam on the same day to meet in person for the first time, with prior planning on our part. It was no accident that I had a near death experience a week later in the Great Pyramid of Egypt. Ten years later, it was no accident that I stayed longer than planned in Romania. It is no accident when we fall in love. When we realize that the real essence of existence is Love, we fall in love with reality and we know that even the lowliest form of existence is a manifestation of Love, the pure essence of reality, with infinite purpose and meaning, and we know that everything is exactly as it is supposed to be.

The story of your life is already written. The Author of that story knows exactly what you need at every point in your journey to grow spiritually as fast as you possibly can. Everything is provided for that reality. All you need do is choose to re-connect with Primary Consciousness to become Love itself. The final paradox to be resolved is the conundrum that even though, from your point of view as a sentient being, you have the free will to choose, the One whose consciousness is everything, knows what choice you will make, because that One’s time is three-dimensional. In the re-revolving nine-dimensional reality of the cosmos, every event of the past, present, and future already exists.

A NEW APPROACH, PART NINETEEN: REALITY EXPLAINS ITSELF

A NEW APPROACH, PART NINETEEN: REALITY EXPLAINS ITSELF

© Copyright 2022, Edward R. Close, PhD

I am aware that the threads contributing to the central theme of this series of posts may be difficult to follow. We are dealing with a number of new concepts, ranging from simple to complex, that are addressed by TDVP. These new concepts may seem unrelated until you realize that every aspect of reality is intimately connected to every other aspect of reality at the deepest level. Physically, that deepest level is the quantum level, and quantum level phenomena cannot be understood by applying analyses that were designed on the macroscale before we knew that physical reality is quantized on the quantum scale. Unfortunately, problems and paradoxes generally cannot be resolved within the paradigm that created them: A new paradigm is needed.

When the existing mainstream paradigm has ripened to the point where all but a few insignificant details have been filled in, science must go through a major paradigm shift in order to proceed. TDVP is the major paradigm shift needed today. Expansion of the basic scientific assumptions to enable science to include consciousness and spiritual phenomena has been needed for a long time. By revising the assumption of objectivity to expand science beyond simple materialism, TDVP has resolved the problems of conflicting theories, and has explained many things that were either not addressed at all, or only poorly explained by mainstream science.

From Simplicity to Complexity in a Few Easy Steps                                         As human beings, we find ourselves in the middle of a reality that stretches from the unimaginably small to the unimaginably large, extending in all directions in three-dimensional space. When we are born, we seem to have awakened in the middle of a confusion of human drama that stretches from the far distant past, into an uncertain future, along an imaginary one-dimensional timeline defined by events, good, bad, and everything in between, occurring in the past, present, and future.

In the mainstream scientific models developed prior to TDVP, objectivity was assumed to be completely independent of the consciousness of the observer. This unwarranted assumption led to a number of conceptual contradictions and paradoxes at the quantum level. The paradoxes found in science result from errors in the models constructed by the scientists, not in objective reality. Reality reflects the stability of the proton, the most stable object in the universe, with patterns repeating endlessly, not the chaos and instability that conflicts between quantum reality and everyday macro reality would cause.

Rather than deal with the unwarranted assumption, mainstream scientists choose to call the conflicts in their paradigm “quantum weirdness” and say things like “If you aren’t shocked by quantum physics, then you haven’t understood it!” and “Just accept the weirdness and move on!” For nearly 100 years, mainstream scientists have tried to patch the two main theories of physics: relativity and quantum mechanics together by trying to explain the stability of the proton with odd concepts and ephemeral particles like gluons and the Higgs boson, with little real success. The theories just got more complex and even weirder with dimensionless, massless particles that somehow impart mass to other particles. As it turns out, physical reality is not made of solid particles, it is made of rotating and expanding energy and consciousness.

In TDVP, on the other hand, we have gone back to the basic assumption of objectivity and included the consciousness of the observer in the model as one of the dimensions of reality. We represent the dimensional domain of this world that we experience through the senses, with the notation 3S-1t-1c, where S represents space, t represents time, and c stands for the individual consciousness of an observer, and the integer in front of each letter is the number of dimensions of that type. The reality contained in the 3S-1t-1c dimensional domain is only a small part of the totality of existence, the part revealed by the filters of our limited physical senses. We know now that more than 95% of reality is not apprehended by human physical senses because it is either simply not detected by the senses, and/or it is not physical.

It is only with the recent discovery of gimmel, the non-physical part of reality, that actually makes the proton so stable, and logical and technological extensions of our mental acuity and physical senses, that we have become minimally aware of the larger, non-physical part of reality. The comprehensive model of reality that we call TDVP incorporates both physical and non-physical phenomena. It is also important to note that the results of TDVP analyses upholds and verifies Einstein’s assertion that space and time “claim no existence of their own.” They are dimensional parameters of the external structure of the combined mass, energy and consciousness contained within n-dimensional domains.

In the TDVP model, the dynamic phenomena that make up objective reality are further described as consisting of measurable amounts of mass, energy, and consciousness, existing in finite dimensional domains having at least nine measurable dimensions. This is indicated by the notation 3S-3T-3C. The letters S, T, and C are capitalized in this notation, as opposed to the lower-case t and c in the notation 3S-1t-1c, to reflect the difference between what exists in reality and what is perceived by the physical senses of a human observer.

The triadic structure of 3S-3T-3C dimensions is not arbitrary. It reflects a mathematical invariance inherent in dimensional domains. I discovered this invariance while applying the process of dimensional extrapolation, and in the development of the quantum calculus (CoDD). Dimensional extrapolation is the name I gave the process of moving the focus of analysis from a dimensional domain with n dimensions, into the next dimensional domain, i.e., the n+1 dimensional domain, where the number n can be any positive integer.

Calculating the value of the unitary projection from a domain with a given number of dimensions, n, into the next domain with n+1 dimensions, we find that it is always an nth root of unity, which becomes the consistent unit of measurement for the added dimension of the expanded (n+1)-dimensional domain. After each series of three projections, the unit of projection out of the n-D domain into the (n+1)-D domain is an increasingly more complex number. This sequence of increasingly more complex units is consistent with the fact that the contents of dimensional domains become more and more complex with each additional dimension, exhibiting more detail and increasingly subtle qualities, as the phenomena become more hyper-dimensional.

In addition to the measurable variables of dimensions, there are measurable variables related to the contents of the dimensional domains. They are the variables measuring mass, energy, and conscious content. Proof of the following statement is straight forward, but beyond the scope of this post.

In the quantum calculus (CoDD) all variables can only take on integer values because all phenomena in physical reality are quantized.

The integer value (1, 2, 3, …) of a given variable in an observation will be a specific whole number, depending on the phenomenon being observed and measured. The quantized mathematical measurements of objective phenomena existing in the nine finite dimensional domains represented by 3S-3T-3C are variables of three types: 1) variables of extent defining the boundaries of the space-time-consciousness domain containing the phenomena; 2) variables of content defining the substance of the space-time-consciousness phenomena contained within the domain; and 3) variables of intent defining the quality, meaning, and purpose of the phenomena being measured.

In the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions (CoDD) the basic units of measurement are three-dimensional, having the same volume as the free electron, and an expression that completely describes the form and substance of a finite object occupying a finite portion of reality will have nine dimensions and three categories of content. Thus, a complete description of the object will be a function of twelve variables. But an expression for the same object observed through the five physical senses of the average human being, is a function of only eight variables, written as f(x,y,z,t1,c1,m,E,C) in conventional mathematical notation.

Because the quantum equivalence units of the calculus of dimensional distinctions are three dimensional, the development of a whole new system of mathematical notation is necessary. Even the fundamental operations of mathematics have to be redefined in the new system. I developed the basics of this system between 1986 and 1989, and published it in Infinite Continuity, a book released in1990. Unfortunately, this book is no longer in print, but I have reproduced most of the theorems and their proofs in other papers and books, including in an appendix of Transcendental Physics, a book published in 1997, available on Amazon.com.

The development of a new mathematical system is not a trivial task - see for instance, G. Spencer Brown’s elegant work, Laws of Form – so I will not try to reproduce it here for several reasons, including its length and the necessity of introducing a totally new and different type of notation that is very hard to reproduce in this format. Also, this discussion is not intended to be a rigorous scientific paper. It is an attempt to explain, to the best of my ability, in terms that anyone can understand, the need for, basis of, and importance of the calculus of dimensional distinctions.

In his book, Laws of Form, G. Spencer Brown develops a primary calculus and uses it to derive the laws governing the innate forms of objective reality, He starts by saying that the severing of a space brings a whole universe into existence. Symbolizing the act of the severance of a space with a distinguishing mark indicating the difference perceived between the inside and outside of a finite closed space, he uses the symbol in two equations, one expressing contraction and expansion, the other expressing the reversal of distinction, or cancellation. Then he uses these equations as the initial equations of the primary calculus, a system of logic that he calls the calculus of indications.

Using this primary calculus, he proves a number of theorems that reflect the general logical form that bears a remarkable resemblance to the finite structures that we observe in the physical universe, and the logical structure of systems in human thought, ranging from the structures of atoms to the structure of biological systems, to human languages. The calculus of dimensional distinctions is similar to Brown’s calculus of indications, with some significant differences.

It is truly amazing that, if, as Brown’s work strongly suggests, all of the complexities of the physical universe follow automatically from the simple act of the drawing a distinction. But, even though Professor Brown begins his development of the calculus of indications by defining the basic unit of calculation as the drawing of a distinction between inside and outside by a conscious entity, he adheres to the unwarranted assumption of the object’s independence of the existence and state of consciousness of the observer by leaving consciousness out of the formulation of the calculus. This exclusion makes the logic of the calculus binary. The inclusion of consciousness in the quantum calculus of TDVP makes its logic tertiary.

The perception of a 3S-3T-3C phenomenon by individuals (human or other sentient beings) may vary, and they may be incomplete relative to the reality being observed. Depending upon a given observer’s state of consciousness, the dimensional domains perceived will have different numbers of S, T, and C dimensions, ranging from 1 to 3. The difference can be indicated by writing the number of dimensions in front of the S, T, and C. If, for a given observer, the number of dimensions in either space, time, or consciousness is less than 3, then S, T, or C will be written in lowercase, indicating that the observation is an incomplete perception of reality. Dr. Neppe and I have called this individual perception indivension. For example, the notation describing the observational domain of the average human being at this time in the planetary time cycle is 3S-1t-1c, totaling five dimensions, but a person with expanded consciousness who can see 3S-2t-1c, e.g., would, in effect be aware of a quantum plane of time containing a range of possible futures, and would have a scientifically describable view of reality, known now as a psychic ability.

Depending upon how many and which kind of dimensions of reality a given conscious being is able to perceive, that person will be clairvoyant, telepathic, or even all-knowing. Such abilities are very rare at this point in planetary time because we are still more than 10,000 years away from the next high point in consciousness evolution. For a more detailed description of the periodic cycles of planetary time, see The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, who is Paramahansa Yogananda’s Guru, and Secrets of the Sacred Cube, a cosmic love story by Ed & Jacqui Close.

By application of the TRUE analysis of TDVP, Primary Consciousness is revealed as the only reality.

[I often refer to the quantum calculus (CoDD) analysis of reality as TRUE analysis, because the quantum equivalence unit based on the rest mass and volume of the electron, is the Triadic Rotational Unit of Equivalence, which is a volumetric, i.e., three-dimensional, unit of measurement.]

The finite structures appearing in the 3S-1t dimensional domain that we know through the physical senses as the physical universe, are incomplete, or partial manifestations of logical patterns existing in Primary Consciousness. And each conscious soul contains quanta of Primary Consciousness, acting like a seed that has the potential of eventually growing into a state of Oneness with Primary Consciousness.

The Human Condition

We are seeds of Primary Consciousness and the only meaningful purpose of finite reality is to provide a field in which we can grow if we choose to. Everything that enhances spiritual growth and increases our chances of fulfilling our potential is good, and anything that hampers or blocks spiritual progress, is counter to the purpose for which finite reality exists, and is therefore, evil. This is the true definition of good and evil. The opportunity to choose either good or evil and progress or regress spiritually, is the true purpose of life. That choice is often a difficult one, but you can know what is good and evil, who is good and who is evil by the fruits of their actions.

Every thought and willful action of a soul identifying itself with a physical body has an effect on that soul’s physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Actions that a soul chooses to take, that results in healthy physical, mental, and spiritual growth, moving the soul toward the goal of Cosmic Consciousness, expands that soul’s individualized consciousness, and actions chosen that result in diminishing or reversing spiritual growth, causes that soul’s individualized consciousness to contract.

The trauma of being born, ejected painfully from a warm, secure place where we have no unfulfilled needs, and thrust into a frightening world over which we have no control, causes us to forget our past, and forces us to deal with an unknown future over which we have no control. No wonder babies cry when going through the ordeal of being born into this world! Only the natural love between mother and child makes this ordeal tolerable. Each of us has to deal with this world of pain and potential suffering while in a limited, still forming physical, mental, and spiritual body that makes up our existence as an individual soul. The trauma of this transition causes us to forget who we are, and we begin to believe in the illusion of beginnings and ends. Forced into this dichotomy, our lives in the delusion of duality on this planet begins.

Within that slowly forming organism we come to know as our own  body, we have a brain, a biological physical object with amazing complexity of structure and potential. It is, however, at any point in three-dimensional space and one-dimensional time, finite, and thus it is an uncomfortable confinement for the mind, which is the thinking part of the soul, a quantum of infinite intelligence. And so, upon birth into a new physical body, we begin to live in the basic dichotomy, a dualistic or binary existence at the interface between the finite and the infinite, the discrete and the infinitely continuous. The effort to understand reality from this waystation on the threshold of Infinity is overwhelming for the finite physical brain, but the infinite mind instinctively knows that it is possible to advance through expanded states of consciousness, toward the perfection of the soul. Just before the time of birth, at the time of death, and in deep sleep, we are on the threshold of a transcendental state of consciousness. See Part One in this series, entitled The Threshold, posted on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021.

As spiritually evolving souls, we have willfully chosen to separate ourselves temporarily from the Infinite to experience the painful descent into finite reality by being born on this little planet, even though we know that to survive here, we must identify with a limited physical body with all of its inherent suffering and pain. Why? Because we desire to be with family and friends we knew in past lives and experience the wonders of the physical universe.

When consciousness is condensed this far, however, and confined to limited awareness to the point of identifying completely with a physical body, we eventually feel our separation from the Infinite intensely, and feel that we are trapped in an inescapable situation, as an uncomfortable speck of painful awareness lost in a vast sea of tumultuous competing forces, over which we have no control. When partially awakened, we begin to realize that we have given up the freedom and joy of spiritual existence, and we may find ourselves in the state of despair that is called the dark night of the soul. The only escape to be found is by turning back to the love of the Infinite.

In the depths of our consciousness, we know that we are immortal souls, and that the suffering of birth, life, and death, is a process of purification that is necessary in order for us, as seeds of Primary Consciousness, to learn and grow, and eventually become whole spiritual beings. The illusion of time is the barrier that separates us from the goal of eternal Oneness, from which we have fallen, but never completely separated. Life is just something that happens again and again until our consciousness is expanded to the point that are fully aware of what and who we are.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ABOUT DIMENSIONS

MORE ABOUT DIMENSIONS

There seems to be some confusion about what a dimension is, what a dimension is not, and how additional dimensions, if they exist, relate to the three dimensions of space and one dimension of time that we think we know so well. It is not unusual these days to hear someone who has seen a strange object zip across the sky, say: “UFOs must come from another dimension”, or someone who has had a near-death experience may say that they “saw an alternate reality in an extra dimension.” Statements like these illustrate what I mean by confusion about what a dimension is, and about what the word “dimension” means.

This confusion about dimensions is due largely to the fact that the concept of dimensionality has been poorly defined, even by mainstream scientists and mathematicians. One thing I can say about dimensions with some confidence, is that dimensions of space and time are not what most people think they are. After many years of research and defining how the measurement of the dimensions of space and time change with relative motion, Einstein concluded that space has no existence apart from being a structural feature of physical reality. He said: “Time and space are modes by which we think and not conditions in which we live.” Conclusion: The dimensions of space and time are just measurable aspects of the form of physical reality, not “things” in the sense that mountains, trees, and other physical objects are.

When I write or speak about the extra dimensions of the TDVP model of reality, typical questions that I am asked include the following:

“If space is not a real thing like the atmosphere or an ocean, why are there three dimensions of space? Why not two, or four, or some other number? Why do you say there are also three dimensions of time and three dimensions of consciousness? If these extra dimensions actually exist, what exactly are they? Where are they? And why don’t we see them the way we see the three dimensions of space?”

I will try to answer these questions here, but first, I first want to be absolutely certain that you know what I mean when I say the word dimension.

Dimension is a common word, a word that ordinary people use all the time. Everyone knows what is meant by the word when it is used in regard to the size of a room, or the dimensions of a box to be shipped. In general, the dimensions of a physical object are length, width, and height or depth. But the same word is also used to describe qualities or aspects of reality that have nothing to do with the dimensions of space and time. For example, you might hear a psychiatrist speak of dimensions of mental health, or a musician refer to the emotional dimensions of a beautiful symphony or a patriotic march. These uses of the word are legitimate and understandable, but, for clarity in TDVP, and in these discussions, the word dimension must be defined with one, and only one, very specific meaning:

A dimension is the measurable, directional extent of a finite distinction, i.e., a measure of the extent of a finite object or group of objects.

The measurement of any other feature of objective reality is not a dimension. For example, measures of mass are measures of content, not extent. There are also measures of impact and intent, but in these discussions, when I use the word dimension, I am referring to a measure of extent, nothing more, nothing else. Dimensions are measures of extent, and only measures of extent.

With this brief introduction to the subject of dimensionality, I will proceed trying to remove as much of the confusion about dimensions as I can by answering the specific questions about dimensions listed above.

Clarifying the Terminology and Answering the Questions

Realization that what we call dimensions are actually just measures of the geometric structure of reality, makes it clear that it is incorrect to say that something, e.g., a UFO, can come from a dimension, or that anything exists in a dimension. Saying that UFOs come from another dimension is like saying that a 3-D object comes from length. Similarly, saying that an alternate reality exists in another dimension is incorrect because nothing can exist in a dimension, instead, every real thing exists in a multi-dimensional domain of three or more dimensions.

Dimensions are simply measurements of the extent of an object or objects contained in a given volumetric domain. UFOs, regardless of where they might come from, suddenly appear in our 4-D spacetime awareness when the domain of our perception is expanded to include the energies of the content of an extra dimensional domain, energies not normally in the range of our organs of vision. And what appear to be alternate realities are probably glimpses of more detail of the complex reality that exists in domains with more dimensions than we normally perceive. With that, I will try to answer the specific questions that have been asked regarding the extra dimensions of the TDVP model of reality.

Why are there three dimensions of space? Why not two, or four, or some other number? (This question is not asked as often as the others in the list, but I am addressing it first because the answer is the basis for the other questions and answers.)

If space had less than three dimensions, there would be no physical universe, because at least three dimensions are required to contain objects with mass and energy. Physical objects are composed of rotating mass and energy vortices, and the stable, uniform rotation of a finite object can only occur if the object is symmetric around three rotational axes equally distant from each other, i.e., 90 degrees apart, on any 360-degree circumference drawn on the surface of a sphere constructed around the object.

Applications of the CoDD to the dynamics and combinations of electrons, quarks, protons, and neutrons, reveal that because of this, they have an intrinsic ½ spin. From this it follows that finite, rotating objects with an integer multiple of ½ spin (that includes the Fermions, the “particles” that make up atomic structure) are volumetric phenomena that can only exist in dimensional domains with three or more dimensions. This means that stable elementary particles are symmetrical objects rotating in three dimensions, and since dimensions reflect the structure of the field of matter and energy, space has at least three dimensions. But could space have more than three dimensions?

The TDVP quantum description of the process of moving from one dimensional domain to the next, i.e., from an n-dimensional domain to the n+1-dimensional domain, is a process that I call dimensional extrapolation. This process reveals a surprising mathematical invariance: After each series of three projections from domain to domain, the unit of projection, which is also the base unit of the additional dimension creating the n+1 dimensional domain, must change to a different, more complex type of number. Otherwise, the projection does not leave the n-dimensional domain; it is just a movement from one point to another within the n-dimensional domain. The projection extends out of the three-dimensional domain of physical space, e.g., if, and only if, the unitary projection is transformed from one quantum equivalence unit to one ‘imaginary’ unit. Then, and only then, the projection leaves the space domain. Therefore, there can be three, and only three, dimensions of space.

Note for those interested in the math and physics of this invariance: The proof of this very significant conclusion involves applications of the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions, the Pythagorean Theorem, Fermat’s Last Theorem, infinite descent proofs, and the discovery of the existence of gimmel, the quantized, non-physical part of quantum reality that creates stable nucleons and the life-supporting atoms of the Periodic Table of Elements.

Also, of note for those interested in the math: All of the unitary projections from one dimensional domain to the next are members of the set of the primitive roots of unity. When these projections are calculated sequentially, a marked increase in complexity occurs in the form of the unitary projection with each third projection. This correlates with the increase in the physical complexity of the contents of the dimensional domains after each series of three.

Why do you say there are also three dimensions of time and three dimensions of consciousness?

Answer: Because of this dimensional domain invariance, in any n to n+1 projection, as described above. When the process of dimensional extrapolation is applied to move the focus of unitary projection from the sixth dimension to the seventh, the unit of projection changes again, from imaginary to complex. The change in complexity of the projection unit reflects the increase in complexity of the content of the new triad of dimensional domains. This difference of complexity is apparent in the change in complexity that occurs moving from the three dimensions of space into the dimensional domain of time. The change is even greater when moving from domains of  spacetime into the dimensional domain of consciousness.

If these extra dimensions actually exist, what exactly are they, and where are they?

Bear in mind that dimensions have no existence of their own. They are simply measures of extent, reflecting the manifold complexity of the content of the dimensional domains they encompass, i.e., the shape of the field of reality existing within the domain. And the extra dimensions of reality are not things existing somewhere else. If you expand your consciousness to include one more dimension beyond your current awareness, then you find that the new dimensional domain contains everything you were aware of before, and more. It’s like moving from the focus of reading an interesting book, to suddenly realizing that there is a greater reality all around you.

Why don’t we see them the way we see the three dimensions of space?”

This question reveals how deeply in our minds the confusion about what a dimension is and is not, is rooted. No one can “see” a dimension because dimensions are not things the way a house, tree, or any object distinguished from the rest of reality is. You do not see dimensions; you see the contents of a dimensional domain. Consider, for example, a tree growing outside my office window. It is made up of a variety of atoms and molecules vibrating at frequencies that reflect light vibrating at frequencies that my eyes, optic nerves, and brain cells can receive, process, and interpret as an image of a tree.

The range of frequencies that my physical eyes can receive is limited to a narrow band of vibratory frequencies, and it appears, from my research into the nature of consciousness, that the physical senses are just fragmented parts of a potentially much greater awareness of the vast vibratory reality existing all around us in higher dimensional domains.

Dimensions and Consciousness

In the last blogpost, I quoted physicist John Archibald Wheeler, who said: “Useful as it is under everyday circumstances to say that the world exists ‘out there’ independent of us, that view can no longer be upheld. There is a strange sense in which this is a ‘participatory universe’.” Application of the CoDD dispels much, if not all, of this strangeness. As mentioned above, it shows us some surprising things about the structure of sub-atomic physical reality. For example, it reveals that elementary particles are not rigid particles, and explains why quarks combine in threes to form protons, which are the most stable objects in the physical universe. A greater understanding of this mutability of physical reality at the quantum scale could lead to truly remarkable advances in every field of science.

In Laws of Form, G. Spencer Brown says that “Although all forms, and thus all universes, are possible, and any particular form is mutable, it becomes evident that the laws relating such forms are the same in any universe.”  Application of the CoDD to analyze the formation of stable atoms from the combination of quarks and electrons, shows us that physical reality has the same structural form at the quantum level as the logical topological structure of analytical geometry, which, when combined with the concepts of number and equivalence, form the basis of pure mathematics. It also reveals the existence of gimmel, the quantifiable non-physical link between the physical universe and consciousness. With the discovery of gimmel, we finally begin to understand why the physical universe has the same logical structure as consciousness and pure mathematics. The dimensions of space, time, and consciousness are intimately interconnected by mathematical invariances in every dimensional domain.

Consciousness is no stranger to us. It is the only thing we experience directly. For this reason, it is difficult to define. It is a fundamental part of reality, if for no other reason, because it is absolutely impossible to know anything about the physical universe without consciousness. As Max Planck said: “We cannot get behind consciousness.” So, let’s have a deeper look at consciousness. The first distinction we draw as conscious beings, is the distinction of self from other, the difference between “in here” versus “out there”. Because of this distinction, we think “I am in here, and everything else is out there”. But is this really true, or is it just a belief based on limited information?

A fundamental difference between consciousness and physical reality that we tend to overlook is that “in here”, space and time are infinitely continuous and infinitely divisible, while out there, the physical universe is finite and discretely quantized. Before the discoveries of Max Planck and Albert Einstein, we assumed that the physical universe existing “out there” was infinitely continuous and infinitely divisible just like the “in here” of consciousness. We know now that this is not true; and it becomes important to find out exactly how infinitely continuous consciousness interacts with the finite distinctions of physical reality. This interaction is largely hidden from us as human beings because it happens at the quantum scale, extremely far below the operating range of our physical senses.

Applications of the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions with the Triadic Rotational Unit of Equivalence (TRUE) as the basic unit of measurement, have shown that our limited awareness of three dimensions of space, and a succession of moments on one timeline, is the result of the limited functioning of our physical senses and the organization of mass and energy in a stable form. Analyzing the combination of quarks to form the proton, we find that this stability is assured by the existence of a specific number of units of a measurable third form of quantum reality that we call gimmel.

Gimmel is categorically different than the other forms of reality because it has no physical mass or energy. The existence of non-physical gimmel not only stabilizes physical reality at the quantum scale, but it also causes it to take on the specific structural form it does. That stable structure leads to the formation of certain elements (hydrogen, oxygen, carbon, nitrogen, etc.) that make up the organic compounds that form the basis for the development and support of living organisms. These living organisms, because of the influence of gimmel, have some level of consciousness and self-awareness from the first single-celled living thing, to the most complex of all life forms.

Extra Dimensions? So What?!

Finally, I think when people ask about what the extra dimensions predicted by the TDVP model are, they are really asking about what expanded awareness into the extra dimensional domains of 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 dimensions of reality reveals. Perhaps the question should be: What would a person with his or her consciousness expanded to receive energies from these extra dimensions see and experience? I touched on answers to this question in the post of October 24, 2021, titled “DIMENSIONS OF SPACE, TIME, AND CONSCIOUSNESS”. The reader might want to review that post in conjunction with this post.

The answers I gave there are controversial from the point of view of many mainstream scientists because people who have experienced expanded states of consciousness during meditation, spiritual inspiration, or in traumatic near-death experiences, are considered by those who ascribe to simple materialism as their basic philosophical belief system, to be psychotic or delusional. Despite the growing number of verified cases of extra-sensory perception during NDEs and OBEs, reports of expanded states of awareness are still generally considered to be paranormal and subjective by mainstream science. However, TDVP provides, for the first time, a comprehensive scientific framework that explains psychic abilities as natural effects of expanded consciousness.

The real value and purpose of having an improved model of reality is to develop a realistic map of the path leading to the goal of human existence: Cosmic Consciousness; and that path may start at the quantum level, where we find the first direct evidence of the interaction of consciousness and physical reality.
