EXPLORING CONSCIOUSNESS

WHAT DO WE EXPERIENCE DIRECTLY?

The scientific explanation of our experience of physical reality makes it quite clear that we do not experience concrete things, such as mountains, rivers, houses, tables, chairs, etc. directly. We experience them indirectly through the transfer of various types of energy through the sense organs. We are able to see a material object, for example, when packets of energy called photons reflected off the surface of an object enter our eyes and initiate a series of energy transfers that ends up in the brain, where an image is formed. A similar thing happens with all of the sense organs, and the combination of those impressions in the brain creates the mental concept of a material object, which is then compared with images previously stored in another part of the brain. If the newly formed image matches the major features of one of the stored images, say a chair, then we conclude that there is a chair in front of us.

It is clear that we don’t experience matter directly; we intercept patterns of energy and interpret them as images and impressions that imply the existence of material objects. So, if we don’t experience matter directly, do we experience the energy that carries the information that is used to construct our impressions of the world? The answer is no. Our experience is an interpretation of patterns of transient energetic impulses. We don’t experience the individual photons, electrons, or other quanta of energy that enter our brains through the sense organs. If we did, we would miss seeing the patterns. We wouldn’t be able to see the forest for the trees!

The patterns that we find to be meaningful appear to exist in space-time. So does that mean that we experience space-time directly? Again the answer has to be no because Einstein’s relativity shows us that space-time has no existence of its own, it exists only as a geometric relationship between matter and energy. The inescapable conclusion from quantum physics and relativity is that we do not experience the physical universe directly.

This leads naturally to the next question: What do we experience directly? The answer should be obvious: The only thing we experience directly, is our own consciousness, our sense of “I am”. But what is that? Our current science says consciousness is an epiphenomenon of physical complexity. But scientists have no explanation for why or how this comes about. If consciousness arises spontaneously from matter and energy, just why and how does this happen? This puzzle is sometimes called “the hard problem”.

A theoretical philosophical solution to the hard problem has been around a lot longer than science has, at least modern science as we know it. It is the idea that there is a non-physical aspect of reality, sometimes called spirit. And this is where it gets interesting! Believers tend to think there must be a spiritual energy, variously called the Elan Vital, Chi, or Prana, depending on the culture. But Scientists say, there is no such thing, because we can’t measure it! It turns out that, in a strange and surprising way, both sides are right, and both sides are wrong! There is a non-physical part of reality that cannot be measured as mass or energy, but it does have an effect, it fact a major effect on physical reality, but not in the way those on either side of the debate expected.

Quantum physics and relativity provided the clues, and Max Planck even stated: “I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as a derivative of consciousness.” And Einstein showed us that matter and energy are two forms of the same thing. His famous equation E = mc2, when expressed in natural quantum units, shows that mass and energy are equivalent. What neither man, nor neither side of the debate about consciousness suspected, is that consciousness is primary, and matter and energy are quantized forms of consciousness. The realization of this came about in stages. The breakthrough came in 2011, when I discovered that there had to be a third form of reality, in addition to mass and energy, in every atom in order for there to be a stable physical universe.

This was not a theory, or hypothesis derived from a theory. It was a discovery that occurred as the result of applying solid principles of mathematics and physics to the combination of quarks to form protons, using Large Hadron Collider data. The math is slightly beyond the scope of this post, but it has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and two books. The second stage was developed by Dr. Vernon Neppe and me. Over a period of a few years, we went from thinking of the third form, which we called gimmel, as an unknown, to realizing that it had to be a primary form of quantized consciousness. This realization came about as a result of solving a number puzzles that couldn’t be solved within the current materialistic paradigm.

The third stage, which I’ve embarked upon, is to explore consciousness based on this new understanding of reality that turns the existing materialistic paradigm on its head. Instead of consciousness being an epiphenomenon of a complex physical universe, we now know that our quantized physical universe is, as Max Planck suggested, an epiphenomenon of consciousness. Suddenly, I have a scientific basis for understanding and explaining experiences like out of body experiences (OBEs), near-death experiences (NDEs), psi phenomena, spiritual, and mystical experiences! Having had such experiences myself, and knowing others who have had them, I am excited at the prospect of being able to explore consciousness and the possible connection of my consciousness with the consciousness of others and the consciousness in all other things.

What does the existence of gimmel in every atom of every object in the universe imply? Does it mean that there may be a way to communicate with other people, animals, plants, and maybe even inanimate objects at the quantum level? Stay tuned!

REALITY MATH, A FOLLOW UP

THE FOLLOW-UP TO ‘REALITY MATHEMATICS’ POSTED JULY 30, 2019
How does rational thought, including what we call science, develop? It develops by following and reflecting the logical structure of reality as more-or-less accurately perceived by sentient beings. The ability of sentient beings to perceive reality clearly rises and falls in a cyclic manner: The average mental virtue manifest in sentient beings increases gradually for 12,000 years to a peak, and then gradually decreases for 12,000 years, to a low point. Ascending and descending cycles of average mental virtue repeat over and over, with an even more gradual increase from one 24,000 year cycle to the next. See The Holy Science, by Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri.

Science develops during the ascending cycles, to the point that most sentient beings understand nearly everything at the peak, called the Satya Yuga (सत्य युग) in Sanskrit, and then deteriorates during the descending cycles, to the relative occlusion of knowledge for most, in the Kali Yuga (कलियुग).

What is the history of the development of science during the present ascending time-cycle pointing toward? In the current ascending cycle, the findings of Einstein, Planck, Kaluza, Klein, Nordstrom, Pauli, and a few others point toward understanding reality as a multi-dimensional field of existence, consisting of universal substance measured in three forms: mass, energy and consciousness, developing within the framework of nine dimensions, three of space, three of time, and three of consciousness.

The three dimensions of space are known to us as width, height and depth; the three dimensions of time are 1) the individual event timeline, comprised of the past, present and future, defined by conscious acts of the drawing of distinctions, 2) expansive time, defined by two or more non-congruent individual timelines, and 3) volumetric time, defined by two or more of the expansive planes of time, described as the two-dimensional time domains described above. The three dimensions of consciousness are: 1) finite individualized consciousness, 2) group consciousness, as in human, animal and plant consciousness, and 3) Primary Consciousness, the reality behind all forms. The nine-dimensional finite framework, within which objects exist and events happen, is encompassed by the trans-finite field of conscious substrate, embedded in the infinity of Primary Consciousness, the matrix from which all things arise. We don’t experience just three dimensions, as often claimed, but segments of five dimensions: segments of three dimensions of space, one dimension of time, and one dimension of consciousness.

The more aware we become of the substance and dimensions of space-time-consciousness, the more we understand reality, which appears to consist of quanta of matter, mind and consciousness, interacting in a nine-finite-dimensional field. At the peak of understanding, we realize that they are all one. Modeling reality as a consistent triad of distinct quantum forms of substance in nine finite dimensions, embedded in a trans-finite field, enables us to explain a number of things that have puzzled mainstream science for decades.

Mainstream science is stymied by certain phenomena because it is based on the limiting assumptions of materialism. Our new paradigm expands the axiomatic basis of  the logical structure of reality to produce a more comprehensive model that is more consistent with empirical data, and explains much more. Examples of things explained by the Neppe-Close model, the Triadic Dimensional Vortical paradigm (TDVP), include: the intrinsic ½ spin of fermions, the exact mass of the photon and neutron in atomic structures, the exact value of the quark mixing angle, called the Cabibbo angle, what gluons, bosons and other ephemeral “particles” really are, what dark mass and dark energy are, why and how so-called paranormal (psi) phenomena exist. Our nine-finite-dimensional model removes the so-called “weirdness” of quantum mechanics, integrates relativistic field theory and quantum field theory, and thus is a paradigm shift from materialistic science to post-materialistic science that really works.

EVIDENCE OF CLAIRVOYANCE

EVIDENCE FOR THE REALITY OF CLAIRVOYANCE
Last night was a time for several remarkable firsts! Dr. Vernon Neppe hosted a Seattle Consciousness Education and Research Society (SCERS) meeting in his home in Seattle, with Dr. Surendra Singh Pokharna, PhD, of the Science and Spirituality Research Institute in Ahmedabad, India as the guest speaker. Dr. Pokharna is a former Indian Space Research Organization scientist, and is associated with the Bhagawan Mahaveer Research Center in Rajastan. His presentation was titled: “Quantal clairvoyance and remote viewing in the context of the Neppe-Close TDVP (Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm) and higher consciousness” The number in attendance was a record, and three non-local attendees, Ing. Ms. Grig Oprea, Dr. Narendra Bhandari and I were there virtually, via various electronic means. Ms. Oprea joined us from Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Bhandari from California, while I was in Southeast Missouri.

Dr. Pokharna’s presentation focused on the fact that descriptions of 92 atomic elements of the periodic table, obtained by Mrs. Annie Besant and Mr. Charles Leadbeater, of the Theosophical Society by clairvoyance starting as early as 1895, even before the electron was discovered, were remarkably similar to the results of the TDVP analysis recently obtained by Neppe and Close. Statistical analysis of the data shows that the probability that this similarity is coincidental and not causally related is extremely low. Furthermore, the Close-Neppe results are validated by exact numerical correspondence with Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experimental data. Conclusion: The ability of two Theosophical Society adepts, Besant and Leadbeater, to exhibit at least one of the siddhis (spiritual, attainments that are products of spiritual advancement through meditation and yoga) namely the anima siddhi, has been validated by TDVP and empirical data.
The substance of this presentation will be published under the authorship of Neppe, Pokharna, Close, and possibly one or two others, but last night’s presentation has prompted me to make some general comments about mathematics, consciousness, spiritual attainment, and psi phenomena like clairvoyance.

MATHEMATICS
I have been discouraged and sometimes appalled by admonishments and comments like: “No one wants to hear about mathematics!” and “If you include mathematics in your discussion, you’ll lose most of your audience!” It is worrisome to me that this reluctance to think about math appears to have increased markedly during the past fifty years. Unfortunately there is some truth in these statements, even among highly educated and intelligent people. We have to ask: is this just mental laziness? My answer is: No, I don’t think so. It is a now-rampant general misunderstanding about what mathematics really is, fostered by a failing educational system, especially here in the US.

The basic math of the current standard model of reality is inappropriate for the study of our quantized reality; and we have known that the reality we study in the core sciences is quantized for more than 100 years. But relevant comments by Max Planck and Albert Einstein, the intellectual architects of quantum physics and relativity, have been ignored by materialistic mainstream science, and continue to be ignored.

Max Planck, after a lifetime of studying the physics of matter, told us that there is no such thing as matter. He said:

“I regard consciousness as fundamental. I regard matter as derivative from consciousness. We cannot get behind consciousness. Everything that we talk about, everything that we regard as existing, postulates consciousness. As a man who has devoted his whole life to the most clear-headed science, to the study of matter, I can tell you as a result of my research about atoms this much: There is no matter as such. All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force … We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent mind. This mind is the matrix of all matter.”

And Albert Einstein, in one of the last additions he made to relativity, told us that there is no such thing as empty space. He said:

“There is no such thing as an empty space, i.e., a space without field. Space-time does not claim an existence of its own, but only as a structural quality of the field.”

It is interesting to note that Planck and Einstein were good friends who spent a lot of time together. These declarations by the two great mathematical physicists who gave us the last real paradigm shift, the shift from classical physics to relativity and quantum physics that happened more than 100 years ago, contain concepts that are critical to understanding the nature of reality and the nature of mathematics: Those concepts are: Consciousness is primary, physical reality is quantized, and thus a quantum calculus is needed which includes consciousness as a variable and corrects the error of thinking of space-time as a real background in which phenomena occur. The calculus of dimensional distinctions, the basic math of TDVP, embodies those concepts.

Applications of the calculus of dimensional distinctions solves a number of problems that have stymied mainstream science for decades, and clearly shows that mathematics is much more than just a tool to solve problems. Real math reflects the logical structure of reality and the matrix of primary consciousness behind it.

CONSCIOUSNESS
The new, more fundamental mathematics of TDVP reveals the fact that primary consciousness, not space-time, is the real background in which all phenomena occur, and that primary consciousness had to exist before the manifestation of any physical form was possible. It also tells us that no stable atomic structure is possible without the existence of a non-physical form of reality which we (Neppe and Close) have called gimmel. Gimmel is mathematically necessary for a stable physical universe to exist. Furthermore, the elements and compounds necessary for organic life contain more gimmel than elements and compounds that are detrimental to life.

TDVP reveals that, at this point in time, our sense organs are severe reduction valves, They do not allow very much of the spectrum of the energies of the nine-finite-dimensional reality, plus the infinite reality of primary consciousness, to flood our brains which are not yet capable of processing that much, and human evolution is driven by spiritual goals, not random physical processes. The manifestations of the geometrical and logical patterns of primary consciousness occur “top-down”, not “bottom-up” as hypothesized by mainstream science at this time. The result of this mistake is a blind science groping in the darkness of materialism. TDVP changes all of that.

CLAIRVOYANCE
Clairvoyance is just one of several psi-phenomena abilities tentatively defined by spiritual science at this time. Some other psi abilities identified by researchers in the field of consciousness studies and parapsychology include precognition, retrocognition, telepathy, clairaudience, and the psychic reception of all of the sense phenomena. But this view of psi phenomena is driven by limitations. If we think of psi phenomena in the more comprehensive framework of TDVP, they are all limited aspects of total awareness.

It is my opinion that all of these abilities, hypothetical or real, are possible facets of expanded global, or even universal awareness, known as cosmic consciousness, which is the ultimate goal of spiritual evolution. It is also my opinion that such psi abilities will arise as appropriate in the spiritual development of individual souls on their own spiritual paths, as reflected in the lives of the Spiritual Masters like Jesus and Buddha, and should not be thought of as goals in and of themselves. Focusing on development of siddhis for personal power is likely to be detrimental to the spiritual growth of any individual doing so. For real spiritual progress, it is far better to focus on resolving your own problems relating to your oneness with primary consciousness, and being of as much service to others as you can, because whatever you do to or for others will determine what happens to you. You, your soul, the earth, the cosmos, and everything within it is one and the same holistic reality. As you do unto others…

WHAT IS LIFE?

WHAT IS LIFE?
© 2018, Edward R. Close

Life is what happens between the two extremely traumatic experiences called birth and death. Because the beginning and eventual end of life are so traumatic, they are all but eliminated from conscious memory. Most of us are programmed by society and by fear to think of one who tries to remember his or her actual birth experience as weird, and anyone who thinks about his or her own death as morose and unnaturally preoccupied with death. But is this aversion to studying and learning about the experiences of birth and death rational? I don’t think so. It is likely that one cannot fully understand what life is, without knowing something about what surrounds it. On a planet that is billions of years old, in a universe that is even older, the duration of one human life is a very, very short experience. Is it really all there is for you?

Why are the first and last steps in the journey of physical life considered to be so unpleasant that to even think about them is to be avoided at all costs? It is because of an unnecessarily emotional attachment to the physical body and identification with the purely physical aspects of being, to the exclusion of everything else. Of course, the physical processes of birth and death are very messy. They often involve intense pain and the unsavory mixing of  blood and feces and other vital bodily fluids in a horrifying manner over which we have no control. In easier phases of life, when we have good health and a clear mind, we tend to maintain a detached position, as uninvolved with the grubby details of physical life as possible. Most of the physical processes of the body, like breathing, blood circulation, digesting of food and elimination of wastes, are carried out automatically. We rarely think about them at all, and then only if absolutely necessary.

During most of our lives, we are creatures of habit, performing most of our daily activities without thinking much about what we are, where we came from and where we are going. We avoid thinking about the physical aspects of the transitional stages at the beginning and ending times of birth and death. At those times we imagine that we must be fighting for life, trying either to get the involuntary processes going or keep them going, struggling with all our strength to get away from pain and the fear of ceasing to exist. But, is this fear based on the reality of the processes involved, or our imagination of what we think they must be like? Is such abject fear warranted? Those who remember going through these processes, almost without exception, say no. Most who report out-of-body experiences (OBEs) like near-death experiences (NDEs), or return- from-death experiences (RFDEs), tell us that leaving the body is actually a relief from anxiety and pain, and sometimes even a euphoric and blissful experience, not a horrible descent into nightmares or nothingness.

These reports of OBEs and NDEs, called psi phenomena by parapsychologists, are considered by most mainstream scientists today to be questionable claims, even though they have been documented and studied by independent researchers in Europe and the US for more than 100 years, and are, and have been accepted as real in many other parts of the world for centuries. In Wikipedia, we find the following definitions are offered:

“Psi is the twenty-third letter of the Greek alphabet, and was probably selected to represent paranormal phenomena as a shortened form of the word psychic. Parapsychology is the study of paranormal and psychic phenomena, including telepathy, precognition, clairvoyance, psychokinesis, NDEs, reincarnation, apparitional experiences, and other paranormal claims. It is identified as pseudoscience by a vast majority of mainstream scientists”.

If you have been reading my posts for the past couple of years, you know that because of my experiences and recent research, I do not share the view of most mainstream scientists. In this post, I’m introducing my own classification of OBEs, for reasons that I will explain below. Also, see my definitions of OBEs and NDEs in the second to last post below on this blog, "DESCRIBING THE TRUE NATURE OF REALITY". In my opinion, all OBEs, if real, are evidence of survival of individual consciousness outside the environment of a physical body, and they are suggestive of the possibility that in some form, every conscious being has already existed before birth, and will continue to exist after death. From reading accounts written by those who have experienced consciousness outside of their physical bodies, and from personal experiences and studies, I think life, and what goes before and after it, are just different experiences of one thing: consciousness. And I agree with Erwin Schӧdinger, who, in his book What is Life? said there is no evidence that the consciousness we experience is plural:

“It is not possible (my emphasis) that this unity of knowledge, feeling and choice which you call your own should have sprung into being from nothingness at a given moment not so long ago; rather this knowledge, feeling and choice are essentially eternal and unchangeable and numerically one in all men, nay in all sensitive beings”.

If the core reality of consciousness, devoid of personal and cultural overlays impressed upon it by the experiences of a given life, is eternal, unchangeable and numerically one in all sentient beings, then it is possible that memories of past lives, and perhaps even future lives may be part of the infinite field of consciousness of which the individual awareness of a given conscious being is part. When, under certain circumstances, the mind of an individual is freed from the confines of a physical body and the limited physical senses that are part of the body, it appears that he or she  may have a glimpse, or even a prolonged look at a broader, more complete experience of reality, including birth and death.

In the development and application of the Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP), where consciousness, not matter, is held to be primary, we find that the possibility that various documented psi phenomena may be explained as the results of different kinds or degrees of OBE is a viable hypothesis, and looking at extrasensory perception (ESP) as a natural result of certain kinds of OBE leads to the recognition of several possible types of OBEs.

OBEs can be divided into three major categories: partial, complete and transcendental. Partial OBEs can be experienced while awake or asleep, and the appearance and the functioning of the physical body of the individual experiencing the OBE is ostensibly normal. Examples are: remote viewing exercises and involuntary dreams that yield real awareness of information not available to the individual through the physical senses, that is verified by others through normal means. I have personally experienced several partial OBEs with independent verification of specific information obtained during them.

Complete OBEs occur when the individual experiences leaving the body completely, like in cases of severe traumatic injury, or when vital signs fail on the operating table. In complete OBEs, the individual may be pronounced clinically dead, and yet experiences the event from a point outside his or her physical body. Complete OBEs are also called NDEs. I have also experienced this type of OBE and know others who have, including my wife Jacqui, and my friend Alan Hugenot.

In transcendental OBEs, there is no mortal threat or trauma, and the physical body continues to operate normally, but the five physical senses are heightened and accompanied by an extended global awareness that is independent of them. Transcendental OBEs are rare, and if reported at all, are usually considered to be scientifically inexplicable, advanced mystical experiences. In my opinion, they are only scientifically inexplicable if by science, you mean the limited philosophy of physicalism based on the metaphysical belief in materialism.

Certain complete and transcendental OBEs are RFDEs, and may include experiences of reincarnation with memories of past lives. I have shared in recent posts and in previous publications the fact that I have personal memories of past lives, know others who have, and in one recent post I shared the statements of a number of well-known people who have had memories of past lives.

As noted above, the study of psi phenomena, regardless how stringently controlled and analyzed, are generally considered to be “pseudoscience” by mainstream materialistic scientists. But, with the discovery and proofs of the existence of the third form of reality as part of every atom of the physical universe, the form we call gimmel, without which there would be no life-supporting, stable atomic and molecular structure, mainstream science as it exists now actually becomes pseudoscience, because its practitioners refuse to look at the evidence simply because they don’t believe it can be real. People who reject real data because it doesn’t fit their belief system, are not behaving as scientists. Scientists must be willing to look at the data and follow it wherever it leads, regardless of what their own beliefs are about the nature of reality.

The time has come for mainstream scientists to look beyond their belief in materialism, because there is indisputable experimental evidence and proof that a vast part of reality is nonphysical.

A SIMPLE DESCRIPTION OF GIMMEL

WHAT IS GIMMEL?
© Edward R. Close, April 11, 2018

INTRODUCTION
Let’s suppose you haven’t read my posts about the discovery of gimmel, the third form of the stuff that makes up the universe, or if you have, you haven’t read the detailed proof that gimmel, something that is neither matter nor energy, exists in every electron, proton and neutron that make up every material thing we can see, feel and measure. Or, even if you have read it, you didn’t fully understand the complex mathematics and scientific concepts behind the proof, and even if you accept that it is science and not science fiction, you don’t see why it is necessarily something to get excited about. If any of these descriptions fit you, then this post is for you.

In this post I will do my best to explain why gimmel, a non-physical something without which there could be no universe, has to exist, what it means for science in the future, and how it will affect everyone, including you.

The new comprehensive paradigm developed by Dr. Vernon Neppe and me, working separately for many years, and in collaboration for the past ten years, that led to the discovery of gimmel, has been reviewed by many PhD- and post-doctoral level scientists world-wide. A few have endorsed it, a few more are interested and intrigued by it, and as has happened with every major paradigm shift in the past, many are upset and feel threatened by it.

What exactly is a paradigm shift? A paradigm shift is a shift from what is theorized and known about the universe, to an entirely new way of looking at reality. Previous paradigm shifts include shifting from an Earth-centered model of the universe to a sun-centered model of the planetary system in which Earth exists, Einstein’s relativity, and quantum physics. Why is this a major paradigm shift? Mainly because it expands the scope of scientific research beyond the physical aspects of reality. This has been tried before, and there are many people who are just as convinced as we are that science must grow beyond the limitations of materialism, but to my knowledge, our paradigm shift to a postmaterialist science is the first one to include a new mathematical system, a new calculus that puts consciousness into the equations.

What I have to say next is not meant to glorify Vernon Neppe or myself.  We have no desire to brag. It is simply a statement of fact, meant to anticipate the inevitable reaction of skeptics of our work who say something like: “What makes you guys think you are so smart? Do you think you are smarter than all the great scientists of the past, and all the mainstream scientists today?” We don’t think we are, but in fact, we have documented IQs higher than the known IQs of many scientists, including Richard Feynman, Michu Kaku, and Stephen Hawking-- and higher even than the estimated IQ of Albert Einstein. This does not mean that we think we know more than everyone else. It only means that we have the intellectual potential to understand as much or more than the scientists mentioned. It certainly does not mean we can’t be wrong. I believe that a high IQ is meaningless unless you do something with it that will contribute to the human understanding of reality and improve the lives of real people.

Now, let me try to explain in plain English how gimmel was discovered and what I think it is. But, I want to start with a disclaimer: The ideas I present in this post are mine and mine alone. I take full responsibility for them. While Dr. Neppe and I usually agree on almost everything, I do not presume to speak for him, or for anyone else. Some of what I will have to say here must be regarded as speculative from a scientific point of view, but most of it is backed up with mathematical proof and empirical evidence. I will try to designate which is which as I go. I also firmly believe that the concepts of the new paradigm we call the Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP) are not beyond what the average person can understand, if explained properly. And that is the whole point of this post.

The discoveries by Max Planck and Albert Einstein that energy and mass are two aspects of the same thing, and that they are quantized --meaning that they occur in multiples of quantum units, requires a complete revision of how we measure and describe matter, energy, time and space. Beginning in 1986 and continuing to this day, I am developing a system of mathematical logic that I call the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions (CoDD), designed to analyze our quantized reality. As important as I think this is, it will not be necessary for you to know and understand the CoDD, or any complex mathematics to understand the ideas revealed by it, including gimmel, described in this post.

I can prove that gimmel exists in every particle of the physical universe from the smallest quark to the electron, the photon and the atom, to the far-flung galaxies of the cosmos, and that no stable structures, atoms, molecules, planets, stars, or organic life forms can exist without it. I can also prove that gimmel is not any kind of matter or energy, and that it has organizing effects on the matter and energy of the universe as we experience them.

Everything I just said in the last paragraph has been documented and published, and additional detailed technical papers are being prepared for publication. I intend to post them on this site once they have been peer-reviewed and published, for those who are interested in all the gory details. In the meantime, I will continue to explain gimmel in terms anyone can understand.

Physical reality is that which occupies space and has mass measurable as weight on the surface of the Earth, and energy measurable as the forces of the various kinds that are studied by physicists. Matter and energy interacting in time and space (or, since Einstein, space-time), make up what we usually think of as the “stuff” of the universe. The discovery of gimmel changes all that. I can prove that gimmel is not measurable as mass or energy. If it were, then there would be no stable universe, and the “great heat-death of the universe predicted by materialists based on the second law of thermodynamics, would already have happened.

The discovery that as much as about 95% of the universe by mass and 85% by volume, is not physical, changes everything. Gimmel, as I said, is not measurable as mass or energy. But, you may ask, then how can it affect the physical stuff of the universe? The answer is: by affecting the angular momentum of spinning objects, i.e., in plain English: by how it affects the way things rotate, move and interact. But, if gimmel is neither matter nor energy, then what is it?

I believe, and here’s the part that you scientific-minded folks can call speculation if you like, that gimmel is a form of consciousness itself, and here’s why I am convinced that this is true: It has the attributes of consciousness. It organizes everything, because without it there would be no stable structure. More than that, it supports organic life. In the analysis of the natural elements of the Periodic Table using this approach, we find that carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, sulfur, and nitrogen atoms, and molecules that form and support living organisms, have more gimmel in them than the other elements and compounds, especially those not essential for, or harmful to living organisms.

In my opinion, this makes the discovery of gimmel very, very important, if not the most important discovery of all time to date. It means that we have discovered how consciousness enters into the mathematical laws of science! It means that every particle of reality has consciousness in it in some measure. It opens the door to the scientific study of non-physical phenomena in a way that has never been available before, with a mathematical method of measuring the effects of consciousness in the forming of material objects and living matter.  It provides an innovative approach to analyzing psi phenomena, spiritual experience and relates consciousness to the mathematics and geometry of the universe.

There you have it in a nutshell: gimmel from my point of view.

The following is a new addition to the IQNexus feature article by Neppe and Close posted in this blog a few days ago.
Finite-infinite
The continuous infinite “super-reality” is directly inaccessible. However, components of it are mirrored in the finite discrete subreality. These are not separate because the finite is embedded in the infinite. Therefore, the finite in the infinite is not dualistic, like separate minds and bodies, or separate souls and physical beings, but reflects a “one-ness” that is inseparable. Infinity cannot be ignored. We postulate through TDVP, that the essential concepts of life and existence, and of multidimensional order, and of choice, might possibly all reflect different levels of the finite or infinite.
We’re like a finite land contained in an unending ocean in the infinite. The infinite has a different quality. There is no beginning and no end to space, to time and to the infinite repository of information. And this information translates into meaningful consciousness. And yet in the finite, everything manifests as discrete pieces of reality —quanta 202. The infinite is like water from an unending ocean impacting on the large land pieces and manifesting as specific meaningful molecules of H2O.
For us, we experience this finite subreality as small incomplete pieces of the jigsaw puzzle of our specific 3S-1t. This is limited through our restricted physical reduction valves. Components of this puzzle involve a consensual reality with others (such as seeing broadly the same sports game on television). Other parts are intensely personal and idiosyncratic (even our interpretation of that same sports game).
Yet, the infinite is pervading all Time and all Space, and potentially providing targeted intentioned, impactful, influential, interactive meaning and purpose in everything in the finite. In this way, the infinite is not a “virtual” reality: The infinite is as much a reality as our finite objects, yet we cannot conceive of most of it, and it is always influencing us at any moment. Moreover, we can change our fate and action, if only slightly, in the context of our little personal reality in that vast unending ocean. These are imprinted in that infinite super-reality, but only in the tiny portion that we’re directly involved in, although we may have greater, broader influences, like vortical ripples in a pond.
We, in 3S-1t, could phenomenologically interpret the unification of finite with infinite realities, and their linkage with gimmel, with Carl Gustav Jung’s concept of synchronicity 203. This is so in that, we, the experients, would be in a particular state of consciousness, when suddenly, something “intrudes” from another "dimension" altogether. This connects the initial state of that particular “something” in space and time, to an object, perhaps a thought, a symbol, or even a dream, that binds that state together with the second thought or symbol. Accompanying this linkage of the consciousness content, is the realization of the “magical” bond like a feeling of the infinite, or of a very important concept in psi research 204, like a blast of the "numinous". The numinous awareness stands out allowing the perception, interpretation, conceptualization and comprehension of two seemingly disparate events, things, thoughts or objects. They become actually joined meaningfully, in this instance, in our 3S-1t reality, which because of the consciousness is likely a 3S-1t-1C or 2C or 3C type experience. The likely unifier is the infinite flow of consciousness information (gimmel) translated and communicated across dimensions through vortical indivension into meaningful numina in 3S-1t [1]. For those in 3S-1t, the synchronicity is “acausal”—it appears without a cause, but that is just relative to 3S-1t, and, indeed, the linkage is more obvious at higher dimensional levels.

[1]  Numinous is a term deriving from German theologian Rudolf Otto in 1917, and embraced by Jung.  The numinous experience  has a sacred personal quality experienced as a communion with a “wholly Other”. Numina areintense, divine-like and transcendent,  with the tendency to invoke fear and to attract, fascinate and compel. They also might imply an easier psi target because they would stand out in such activities as “remote viewing”.

Abstract

This paper consists of a fifteen-part, lengthy series of articles. We examine how the various manifestations of psi phenomena can be explained by applying the Neppe-Close Triadic Dimensional-Distinction vortical paradigm. Importantly, the psi descriptions are examined non-prejudicially, irrespective of whether these psi phenomena truly exist.
However, the overwhelming frequentist statistical data for the existence of psi phenomena are listed, and the explanations posited support its existence. Nevertheless, we examine the theoretical assumptions that these phenomena do happen and need to be understood.
To facilitate the contents of each part, we include the abstracted headers in bulleted form. This allows for a more adequate summary. The 14 parts are as follows, with part 12 having 7 sub-sections:
What is psi and how should we explain it? (Part 1)
Statistical demonstrations of psi (Part 2). This part discusses the 9 six-sigma protocols, plus spontaneous information, the confounders and how these extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence.
Theoretical bases to analyze psi (Part 3)
Revisiting TDVP: Can we use it to explain psi? (Part 4)
Linkages with non-locality and psi: A perspective (Part 5)
The Broader Perspective of “Non-locality” (Part 6)
Consciousness: A brief voyage linked with psi and “Non-locality” (Part 7)
Toward a method of proof for added dimensions (Part 8)
Relative and dynamic psi, and gimmel: The non-local variants (Part 9)
Esoteric non-local variants of delta (Part 10)
Revisiting terminology: Relative, framework and immediacy in psi (Part 11)
Vortical indivension: A major mechanistic breakthrough in Dimensional
Biopsychophysics (Part 12)

This interim paper will now be further peer-reviewed and a final version posted later. f The current article is based on several different sources. A major initial source was our book Reality Begins with
Consciousness: A Paradigm Shift that Works (Fifth Edition) 2014. 1 These chapters discussed the statistical data on psi and the originally proposed concepts of relative non-locality and its different frameworks plus concepts such as vortical indivension. 2  We acknowledge, too, the Pacific Neuropsychiatric Institute as well as the journals Explore and the Journal of Consciousness Exploration and Research that have published our original articles which link the area of non-locality, though these parts have been significantly modified.
