Close and Neppe on Coast to Coast Q & A

Ed Close and Vernon Neppe appeared on Coast to Coast AM with George Noory recently.

Topic: “Our reality is 9 dimensions. The proof and implications
Some questions we expected George Noory to ask, with brief answers:

Drs Close and Neppe, you have indicated you have proven a new model namely that reality has 9 spinning dimensions. That is quite some claim! Can you briefly summarize this?

Yes.  There was a puzzle in particle physics that had not been solved since it was discovered fifty years ago. It cannot be explained by conventional physics in three dimensions of space and one of time. However, it can be explained if we actually live in a reality of nine finite dimensions embedded in an infinite tenth domain. In other words, our conventional three-dimensional world is just that part of reality we're capable of experiencing through our physical senses. The rest is hidden from our direct experience most of the time, but it is still always there and very real. We have developed the mathematics of this nine-dimensional plus reality, and solved the puzzle, i.e. explained the Cabibbo angle. The implications of this are profound.

What exactly was that puzzle?
Explanation of the size of the Cabibbo angle: Neither the Standard Model of particle physics nor any other model had done so. So this was a curiosity but it's like demonstrating the existence of the US Mint because we have shown the dollar that was produced by it.

What is the Cabibbo angle?
An angle of a little over 13 degrees, calculated from particle collider data, related to elementary particles in physics such as electrons and quarks. It was discovered by the Italian physicist Nicola Cabibbo in 1963.
How does your theory differ from other multi-dimensional models like string theory?  V
In five ways:
1.      The elementary forms of reality are vortices — spinning movements— rather than vibrating strings.
2.      String theory involves multiple dimensions (most commonly described as 10, in some models 11, in other 26 and occasionally even 496 (a so-called perfect number). There are apparently no 9-dimensional String Theories, though often the 10 consist of 9 spaces, and one time dimension.
3.      String theory often explains the extra dimensions by folding; our 9-D derivation based on our TDVP model is based on rotation across dimensions.
4.      The additional dimensions we’ve discovered have different characteristics mathematically than just space and time dimensions alone; based on our TDVP model, they also include consciousness.
5.      String Theory is exactly that, a theory. While internally consistent within itself, string theory is unproven. The 9-D spin model has been actually derived mathematically and validated by derivation of the Cabibbo angle. Anyone with the appropriate skills can replicate this. They can show the derivation is correct.

You've mentioned TDVP. What briefly is that?
   (We explain this)

So is our current experience of reality incomplete?
Absolutely. We perceive reality through our physical senses. This involves a certain level of awareness of length, width and height—the 3 dimensions of space in one moment—the present—in time. We refer to that as 3S-1t, or a reality experienced in 4 dimensions. But we cannot even experience that reality fully: for example, we cannot see in the infrared or ultraviolet spectra, but technology can help us. So our normal perception of reality is really restricted to even less than the total 3S-1t. We see the complete finite reality as 9 dimensions, but this is only part of what is contained in the broader infinite reality.

But your research was only on the 9 finite spin dimensions
Correct. The mathematics of our TDVP model predicts 9 finite dimensions, embedded in an infinite tenth domain. The finite as contained within the infinite. But this derivation of the Cabibbo angle is completely within the 9 finite dimensions, it says nothing about the infinite.

The infinite?  What exactly is that and where does it fit in?
The infinite is, by definition, the deepest subject there is! Our whole TDVP model recognizes that the laws of nature comprise a self-contained unit and nothing is outside these laws. But it recognizes too that some of these laws cannot even be conceptualized. Obviously the infinite is a topic for another discussion. However, we cannot understand the continuity of the infinite —or the possible levels—the infinite is unbounded in time, space and information and that information translated into meaning, we call consciousness. Now contained within that unbounded continuity are little pixels, quantum elements that are discrete. This we call the finite and within this finite are the 9 dimensions we're discussing tonight.
Have other scientists accepted your proof of 9 dimensions that interface by spinning?

Overall, many scientists have been able to agree with the model as it applies in their areas of expertise and accepted it to that extent. Many, however, recognizing their own background limitations, cautiously hold back from endorsing the whole theory, but do not reject it. Amazingly but not surprisingly, some reject our whole TDVP model or the 9D-spin derivation without reading it apparently because it threatens them—either their materialistic belief system or possibly their ego (some scientists do not want to un-think everything they've thought before, everything upon which they have based their whole career).
So it sounds like the 9 dimensional theory is not easy to referee?

True.  Of the tens who have had a chance to review it, almost everyone recognizes it as multi-disciplinary and realize they don't have the  expertise in all three areas to make a full judgment —the areas are theoretical particle physics with the Cabibbo angle, which is largely undiscussed even in that area;—then there is the new mathematics with Dimensional Extrapolation and the Calculus of Distinctions;—and, thirdly, our TDVP model (which has over the past years been examined by hundreds of scientists and has been well-acclaimed  by some who have studied it in detail. It appears to work.

So exactly how did you prove this?
It was first proved mathematically using logical- mathematical- dimensionometrical tools I call the Calculus of Distinctions and Dimensional Extrapolation, they were applied to the appropriate known concepts and equations of particle physics. Specifically, they were applied to the spinning electron and quarks that make up the most fundamental of atoms, the hydrogen atom. We found that we solve this fifty-year old physics puzzle ONLY by including three components:

First. we had to include 9 dimensions. All others, 8 or 10, 11 or 26 or 496 or even our regular 4 dimensions plus one of consciousness, fail to produce results that agree with experimental data.

Second, just like one and two dimensional objects are embedded in a three-dimensional domain, all of the dimensions are embedded within the 0-D domain.

And third, we have to move through the dimensions by rotation and projection, incorporating particle spin. So, for example, curled-up dimensions or the folding of dimensions as in String Theory simply do not work.

Derivation of the Cabibbo angle provided a good way to test our TDVP model that said there were 9 finite vortical dimensions.

Does your theory explain anything that the average person can understand?
The implications are actually mind-boggling. It explains life and consciousness and provides a basis for explaining rare-event phenomena like distant viewing, out of body experiences, near death experiences, possibly survival after death and maybe even simple dreams.

What about space travel?
Yes. It may even provide a way to travel through very distant space and time by moving to other dimensions: We can send a probe to Mars only at enormous expense, maybe this will provide a way to travel great distances or even though time for very little cost or using very little time.

So does it explain UFO sightings?
Without entering into the accumulating data of UFOs, yes. If they are from other worlds, that is possible.

Does TDVP allow super luminal velocities? i.e., the possibility of faster than Light-speed travel?
Yes, it does. I think it is interesting that many people think Einstein’s theories forbid super-luminal velocities. That is not the case. The theory of relativity says that nothing can be accelerated past light speed. The equations tell us that the mass of an object being accelerated from our frame of reference will approach infinity as its velocity approaches the speed of light. When asked about this, Einstein himself speculated that there could be a reality occupying the same space we’re in, with all motion greater than c, and we would not be aware of it.

And does it explain some of the other complicated puzzles of modern physics
Yes. There are several puzzles and even some contradictions in physics. Besides the Cabibbo angle, we can address the puzzles of  non-locality, quantum entanglement, intrinsic spin, the fine-structure constant, and contradictions between relativity and quantum mechanics.

Is there any way we can see or experience these extra dimensions?
We believe so. By learning how they relate mathematically and geometrically to the dimensions of space and time that we are normally aware of, we begin to experience synchronicities and serendipitous events that are connected in ways our limited 3S-1t reality cannot explain.

Are other scientists working on similar models?
A few have moved in this direction, starting with Einstein himself, and physicists like Pauli, Kaluza and Klein, who had some success with five-dimensional models, and we know of a few currently; but none that discovered the nature of the additional dimensions that we have.

Why haven’t other scientists discovered this?
Since Einstein’s death in 1955, mainstream scientists and science education have become increasingly materialistic. Einstein said “I want to know God’s thoughts”. Many mainstream scientists today are openly atheistic, saying things like: “Everything can be explained in terms of matter and energy, we have no need to invoke the divine.” and “The more we learn about the nature of reality, the more meaningless it becomes”.

And your theory?
We strongly motivate that matter and energy alone are insufficient to explain reality. You must as a necessity include some form of consciousness in everything. This is the core aspect of TDVP: Space, Time and Consciousness are inextricably bound together—they are tethered. So this is an advance from a century ago when Hermann Minkowski described 4 dimensions —3 of space, 1 of time. We now a century later suggest a major paradigmatic shift: Space, Time and Consciousness are inextricably bound together—they are always tethered together. That is the fundamental axiom of TDVP. And now we say that that Space, Time and Consciousness consists in the finite of 9 dimensions.

And those 9 dimensions consist of how much each of Space, Time and Consciousness?
At this point, we can’t be sure. It could be any combination, but the CoD and DE show a change in the mathematics of the dimensions after each triad. This strongly suggests that the 9 dimensions are likely 3 each of Space, Time and Consciousness. But you can’t think of these in any particular order; they always co-exist. In fact, the first time we publicly mentioned this was on Coast to Coast AM in November 2011!

How can you convince mainstream science that your theory is correct?
Two ways. First, peer review.  By publishing details of our research and showing how TDVP solves problems and explains things that can’t be explained in the current paradigm. We've already published a scientific article and another is in submission.

And second, getting the word out on programs such as this, on radio, television and in the media. We've said scientists have a lot more unthinking to do than the layperson. But the layperson still applies common sense and is more likely to understand that if something doesn't work (and our current model of physics does not work 100% of the time) then there needs to be a change in thinking.

Just how does this change science as we know it?
It changes our understanding of time and space, mind and matter, and supplies a long-needed basis for the scientific investigation of consciousness, spiritual experience and extra-sensory phenomena either ignored or denied in the current paradigm. So it recognizes consciousness and spirituality as real, and brings science out of the dark ages of materialism.

What are some major implications that you foresee?
A new, deeper understanding of space and time, brain function and mind; discovery of heretofore unknown laws of nature, including connections between matter, energy, space, time and consciousness; and a more moral world with proof that we’re all connected at a deeper level.

Scientists Solve 50-Year Physics Puzzle

Scientists Solve 50-Year Physics Puzzle
Breakthrough Expected to Lead to Major New Discoveries

Jackson, Missouri. Friday, July 19, 2013:

Edward R. Close, PhD, PE, and Vernon M. Neppe, MD, PhD, today announced important findings that affect the basic assumptions of physics and change the way scientists understand life and the Universe.

“It appears that our current concept of reality is incomplete,” Dr. Neppe commented. “Dr. Close and I have demonstrated that we live in a 9-dimensional spinning finite reality."

Working separately for over 50 years on individual theories, Dr. Neppe, eminent neuroscientist, and Dr. Close, mathematician/cosmologist and acclaimed environmental scientist, decided to work together beginning in 2009. Each recognized that their combined expertise in divergent disciplines offered the potential to maximize and unify their theories into one coherent model which eventually became their TDVP ‘Theory of Everything’ model.

How did the current finding come about?
In 2011, they began submitting their first collaboration to scientists around the world for peer review. Their work, entitled Reality Begins with Consciousness, included explanations of their 'Triadic Dimensional-Distinction Vortical Paradigm' (TDVP) model. Close and Neppe postulated a reality of 9-dimensional finite-spinning vortices based on known scientific and mathematical data.

In February 2012, a Johns Hopkins Professor of Astronomy who had been asked to review the material quipped sarcastically, without having read the details of their work: "When you can explain why the Cabibbo Angle is what it is, then I'll believe you."

The astronomer’s statement was meant to be a conversation stopper in a closed scientific group. He knew it was extremely unlikely that the Cabibbo Angle could be explained. After all, for 50 years no scientist had met this challenge, not even the Italian Physicist, Nicola Cabibbo, for whom the mixing angle is named. Specifically, no-one had been able to solve the mystery of why the 'Cabibbo mixing angle' in elementary physical particles was the strange size it was, namely 13.04±0.05 degrees.

…no-one had been able to solve the mystery of why the 'Cabibbo mixing angle' in elementary physical particles was the strange size it was, namely 13.04±0.05 degrees.

Dr. Close accepted the challenge and began working on the mathematics. Working long hours and sometimes going days without sleep, Close was able to derive the Cabibbo angle using the logic the two collaborators had developed in TDVP. What he discovered was that the Cabibbo angle can only be derived from a 9-dimensional model because the mathematics only works with 9 dimensions, not 8 or 10, or any other number of dimensions. The calculated values for other dimensional models produce results that simply do not match what is known about the empirically demonstrated size of the Cabibbo Angle.

The Close-Neppe 9-dimensional spin model results for the Cabibbo angle are, as predicted by TDVP, exactly correct, namely 13.032 degrees (calculated to 5 not 4 decimal places as in the original empirical Cabibbo finding). Feedback from peer group review supports this new Close-Neppe finding.

Why no other theories fit
No other theories have developed the concept of finite 9-dimensional rotation. String Theories and M-Brane Theories, and many of the other theories are promising, but generally involve folding of dimensions, not spin, as a predominant feature, and do not fully explain basic empirical derivations such as the Cabibbo Angle.

And so, not only has one of the major mysteries of physics (the reason for the size of the Cabibbo angle) been solved by Close and Neppe —a curiosity -- but much more importantly, the Cabibbo derivation has provided a definite, necessary and new gateway to demonstrate that there are multiple dimensions of finite reality, and that these have a specific, defined quality — 9- dimensional spin.

Applying the 9-dimensional spin approach could lead the way to solving some of the other problems of science that appear to contradict the standard model or remain unexplained at this time. The impact of this 9-dimensional spin finding is so significant that scientists might need to rethink almost everything they've thought before.

Replication and mathematical proof
Empirical science requires proof and findings that can be replicated. Often scientific experiments need to be repeated, sometimes multiple times, to ensure that there is no error, or that the finding is not by chance. However, in this instance, because the exact figure for the Cabibbo angle can be calculated using straight-forward, well-established mathematics, the proof can be easily checked.

Dr. Close said: “Proving the derivation of the Cabibbo angle is simply a mathematical calculation. So it is easily replicable and demonstrable by just doing the calculations. One can even work backwards to check the results and it still works. This is one reason why we can stipulate 9 dimensions, not 8 or 10 or any other number of dimensions. And 9-dimensional spin was exactly what we expected based on our TDVP model. Mathematically testing other models that have not yet been validated or contain conundrums, by applying the logic we have utilized in our 9-dimensional spin reality could prove very interesting. This would generalize the findings to other areas, and would remarkably confirm, I believe, that the prevailing worldview of 3 dimensions of space and 1 of time (3S,1t) is incomplete, and also, that this Cabibbo result is a sound derivation, not just a lucky accident."

Consciousness was First

Have you seen Morgan Freeman and his program "Through the Wormhole?" (http://science.discovery.com/tv-shows/through-the-wormhole)

Tonight they were talking about the "alien" consciousness of plants. It was a good show and demonstrated the state of recent research. I was struck, however, by the fact that science is still stuck in the idea that consciousness is an epiphenomenon that somehow spontaneously arises when physical systems are complex enough.

Many years ago, I asked these questions:  What if we scientists are wrong about consciousness?  What if Consciousness came first, instead of matter?

After many years pursuing the ramifications of that question, I can say conclusively that Consciousness did come first.

Not the consciousness we experience as an individual person, but a grand, undifferentiated, infinite consciousness that I call Primary Consciousness, an undifferentiated conscious substrate out of which all complexity, life and self-awareness arise.

Scientists featured on that program, and in general, still have it backward. Fortunately, that is changing and the future looks ever more promising for this materialistic world-view to fall away.

Consider this...It has been calculated that it would take over 200 Billion Years of evolution to produce the type of diversity we see in the world, yet our universe is estimated to have existed for less than 14 Billion Years in total.

The currently accepted, standard concept of consciousness is far too limited.  It is time move beyond the limitations of dogmatic materialism.

Based on the mathematics and research I am completing, there would be no complexity without the underlying organizing action of the primary form of consciousness. The primary form of consciousness has no beginning and no end. In the theory developed with my co-author and collaborator, Dr. Vernon Neppe, we put consciousness into the equations and turn science around.

What is TDVP?

TDVP is an acronym for "Triadic Dimensional-Distinction Vortical Paradigm, a Theory of Everything model developed by Vernon M. Neppe, PhD and Edward R Close, PhD, and presented in their first collaboration: Reality Begins with Consciousness.

TDVP is new, first published in 2011, so the ramifications of this work are not fully understood. However, TDVP  is believed to be much closer to a "theory of everything" than any physical theory such as string theory or M-brane theory, primarily because it opens science to a totally new way of understanding all we currently know, and puts consciousness into the equations of science for the very first time. This inclusion of consciousness from the beginning, before the first particle of matter ever existed, allows science to explore entirely new realms, including examining spiritual experience, and explains many things that cannot be explained by current science, such as how the Hydrogen atom is created and why it is the building block of the universe, it also explains the fine-structure constant and the Cabibbo mixing angle which have served as puzzles most physicists say are just too strange to understand, and it does even more. It unites relativity and quantum physics, and provides a much needed bridge between science and spirituality.

Reality Begins with Consciousness Chapter 1

Introductory excerpt from Chapter 1, Reality Begins with Consciousness (RBC).

Chapter 1: overview Perspective 22, [1]

“Every day I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men, living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received and am still receiving.”
Albert Einstein

Priorities
Reality Begins with Consciousness presents a sweeping new paradigm shift that we know will be greeted by a wide range of reactions. A few will embrace it, many will be stunned by it, and those with vested interest in a materialistic worldview will react with hostility. We find it extraordinarily important because it provides what appears to be a broad solution to our world: The paradigm we present provides explanations that fit both our conventional, usual physical experiences, and yet seamlessly elucidate how those experiences that are regarded as bizarre, strange, anomalous and unexplained, such as out of body experiences, or awareness of information from afar, or even alleged life-after-death, or some of the unexplained mysteries of physics may be explained.
So let’s explore these areas developing a theoretical explanatory model. We recognize this adventure may be very complex because the nature of reality is deep and unexplained. And this book deals with reality, consciousness and origins. So our adventure, by its very nature, is also elaborate, intricate, involved and complicated. But we think it will greatly enhance your understanding of our existence . Therefore let’s begin gently with certain fundamental principles in this, our first Chapter, move on to 100 ideas in Chapter 2, and then move onto the “meat” of this exciting voyage.
But let’s begin with some important broader principles: A new theory incorporating elements that lie outside the scope of the existing scientific paradigm will always meet with resistance: And this is as it should be. All of the major advancements, which Thomas Kuhn23 called “scientific revolutions” or “paradigm shifts”, like those brought about by Copernicus and Kepler, Newton and Leibniz, Einstein and Bohr, challenged long-held assumptions and were met with great resistance.
Yet a new theory should never be rejected out of dogged adherence to belief in pre-existing fixed assumptions. If the new assumptions are correct, or even just more correct than the old, they will eventually win over open-minded scientists and thinkers.
Every scientific theory is based on preconceived (“a priori”) assumptions: Since they are a priori, by definition, no matter how correct they appear to be, there is always the chance that they may be wrong. This certainly applies to the tacit assumption of modern science that everything can be explained in terms of matter and energy interacting in time and space as we now understand them, and that consciousness is an epiphenomenon of material complexity. This new paradigm challenges this belief. But we are not just replacing one belief system with another, we present cogent arguments based on empirical evidence from relativity and quantum mechanics, and we provide new mathematical and logical frameworks to support the new paradigm.
What we are requesting our readers to do, is keep an open mind until you have seen the whole picture. It will involve learning a number of new concepts and new terminology. If you will do this, we believe you will see the unfolding of a comprehensive new paradigm that will expand science to encompass aspects of reality heretofore excluded from the scientific search for truth.
These initial statements in Chapters 1 and 2, at this point can be perceived as equivalent to abstracts that are non-referenced. But we have endeavored to support every component of this model with appropriate sources spread through the body of this book. There are many new ideas in this chapter (Chapter 1). They contain brushstrokes. However, with several headers below, there are also many new terms or phrases you may be unfamiliar with. The object is to prioritize your reading.
If you have not read about this model before, may we make a suggestion?
·        First please read the section below on the Brief Summary of TDVP, but only the italicized sections first. This way you will obtain a perspective, without the detail.
·        Then please re-read this chapter a second time, this time including the regular print.
·        If needed, thereafter, please refer to the glossary above (or the supplemental book Glimpses and Glossary) for terms that you may not recognize, and please use these pictorial representations (“glimpses”) to further conceptualize our points.
We effectively are subdividing this into Chapter 1A and 1B. Chapter1A contains just the italicized sections; and then you look upon the regular font as, Chapter 1B, which amplifies those sections.

The Brief Summary of TDVP
1.     The Model:
In this book, Reality Begins with Consciousness, we propose a model that appears to be the first comprehensive paradigm that can be explained consistently in science, mathematics and ultimately, as a consequence of the scientific and mathematical analysis, philosophy. The model is applicable in all the known sciences—the broader physical, psychological, biological and consciousness sciences. Hence it is not only a paradigm for one science, it is a “metaparadigm”, with the prefix meta- referring throughout this book, to a higher or broader level, in this case a broad ranging paradigm.

2. Language:
Because TDVP is a wide-ranging metaparadigm that works empirically and mathematically, involving Dimensional Biopsychophysics, it requires:
·        a new language at times as there are new concepts;
·        clear and precise well-defined terminology, to avoid ambiguity and
·        well-defined ideas that take into account all of Dimensions, Infinity, Consciousness, Tethering and Unification (mnemonic: DICTU).

3. TDVP: What is it?
Our model is called Triadic Dimensional-Distinction Vortical Paradigm (TDVP). The consequent philosophical model is called Unified Monism.
These terms are technical but are given as a broader perspective here. We explain them in more detail throughout this book.
·        Triadic Space, Time and broader ‘Consciousness’ tethered together
·        Dimensions of extent involving mathematical distinctions
·        Vortices involving curved movements. These individual vortices interface across dimensions (we call this “vortices indivension” allowing a communication system). The finite is a 9 dimensional (9D) vortical reality, and the transfinite is a 10th plus dimensional vortical reality.
·        Paradigm (Metaparadigm /Theory of Everything) across the sciences and mathematics with unification of the infinite and finite resulting in the philosophical model of Unified Monism
·        The implications of TDVP lead to “Unified Monism” (UM), a new philosophical model.
