BE STILL AND KNOW
Breathe
in and out and know somehow,
The infinity of God’s eternal NOW.
Know
in the heat of this July,
December’s
cold and snowy sky.
Know
in the pain that leads to death,
The throbbing gasp of life’s first breath.
Breathe
in and out, be here and now
In eternity and infinity --somehow.
When
starting down the road of life,
As
someone’s husband, someone’s wife.
Then
life is good, and future’s bright,
With
love and luck, no end in sight,
Know
well and sure as night brings day,
That
this too, is doomed to pass away.
When
the pulse of love and life wears thin,
Remember
God’s Kingdom, here, within.
The
happiness of life, and pain of death
Both dance
the rhythmic tune of breath.
Be
still and know that thou art He,
Right
here, right now; -- eternally.
Breathe
in, breathe out. Now just be
In the infinite NOW --for all eternity.

Beautiful poems on this blog. I especially like the line in this one "the happiness of life, and the pain of death Both dance the rhythmic tune of breath."
ReplyDeleteI am also a fan of that recent poem about love. Great stuff.
