NEW APPROACH PART 22 ACCELERATING CONSCIOUSNESS EXPANSION

THE NEW APPROACH, PART TWENTY-TWO

Accelerating Consciousness Expansion

ESCAPING THE DELUSION

There are as many methods to accelerate consciousness expansion as there are people who have done it. However, that’s still a very small number, relative to the number pf people who claim to be enlightened. There are many fake gurus. That’s part of the evil side of human consciousness, call it duality, Satan, Lucifer, or whatever. How can you tell a real spiritual teacher from the want-to-be gurus? By the fruits of their actions. If a self-proclaimed know-it-all’s personal life is a mess, why would you take advice from him?

Fortunately, there are a few who have already expanded their consciousness all the way to the Ultimate goal of Cosmic Consciousness, either in this life, or in previous lives. Yes, this can happen even during these dark times while the mental and spiritual virtue of the average inhabitant of this planet is very low; and when you are ready, it will happen to you.

I have been blessed to meet a few of those who have expanded consciousness beyond the current prevalent level. One began a talk about the Ultimate, saying: “The Spiritual Masters of all ages have reached the Ultimate, but there is a problem: how can it be explained to those who haven’t?” No word can describe the Ultimate, no group can achieve it, and those organizations that aspire to achieve the ultimate, quickly become subverted by the innate evil of this world lurking in our minds, unseen in plain sight! This is why I recommend avoiding becoming involved with institutionalized organizations as much as possible. It is best to embark upon the path of consciousness expansion without pre-conceived religious, philosophical, or scientific notions, because they are effective mental barriers to spiritual progress, blocking the direct experience of reality. Adopting someone else’s belief system is like trying to see the sunrise while covering your head with a blanket.

Before I write about practical techniques of consciousness expansion, it is incumbent upon me to try to dispel the popular delusion about science and religion, if I can. As they exist at this time on this planet, organized science and organized religion provide fertile grounds for the trickery of the forces of evil. Both mainstream science and world-wide religious organizations entail belief systems that invite you to blindly engage in unquestioning acceptance. Real science and real religion do not require mindless compliance and they are not antithetical. Both should be dedicated to finding the truth about the nature of reality. When fully integrated, they will comprise the one and only true religion. But right now, this world has many false religions.

There is one very powerful false religion griping the world today, and it’s hidden in plain sight. It’s called mainstream science. That title is very misleading. Big science is no longer real science. It has been politically corrupted and turned into a money-making, brain-washing scheme for the ultimate social evil of soul-destroying dialectic materialism. Like any other religion, natural science started off with honest inquiry and good intent, but in just a few hundred years, it has become the opposite of what was intended. The more powerful mainstream science becomes, the more it works to undermine and shut down any thinking that is not consistent with its paradigm. It especially deplores the objective investigation of non-physical phenomena and spirituality.

Like any other corrupted belief system, it has become a powerful mechanism that is used by the egoistic tyrannical elite to control the masses through the carrot and stick of material rewards and fear of annihilation. Like any other false religion, it has to put down free thought. An enlightened proletariat is a threat to the ruling class today, exactly the same way it was in 553 A.D., when Justinian I subverted the real spiritual content of the teachings of Jesus in early Christianity by crucifying its Jewish leaders and putting what Justinian saw as a growing cult threatening his absolute authority, under the control of the Holy Roman Empire. See Secrets of the Sacred Cube, A Cosmic Love Story, Part VI, Patterns of Good and Evil, Outskirts Press, 2019 for more detail.

I have spent a large part of my life studying to become a scientist, earning degrees, teaching math and science, getting science-related jobs, and working as a scientist. The biggest mistake that honest people who identify themselves as members of mainstream science can make, is to allow themselves to fall into the trap of believing that no one knows more than they do. The moment you fall into the delusion that no thought has any value unless it is recognized by mainstream science and fits into the mainstream paradigm, you are no longer likely to make much real progress, because you have become a member of the religious cult of scientism. Just like members of a religious sect who believe that only they are going to Heaven, members of the cult of scientism believe that only they have found the real path to truth and utopia.

Like every religion, scientism, had exciting potential for doing good when it began with the magnificent discoveries of a few very brilliant people. But the light brought into the world fades when the geniuses are gone, and lesser beings take over to institutionalize the teachings and discoveries. Just a few years ago, I realized that the science I was enthralled with when I first found Albert Einstein’s relativity, had been subverted by the evil of egoism. The realization struck home when I heard a leading scientist seeking publicity say: “We are nothing but debris flying away from a big explosion!” And I heard a young woman in an interview on national TV, say: “I am a scientist, so of course, I am an atheist.”

When I decided to become a theoretical physicist, I didn’t sign up to be an atheist! Far from it. On that summer evening in 1951, standing on the bank of that farm pond less than a mile from where I now live, I called out to God, and He answered! Suddenly, my consciousness was expanded beyond my comprehension, and immediately I saw the Holy Spirit glowing in everything around me and heard the sound of silence reverberating in my soul. You can read my account of that experience on page 43 of my first book, The Book of Atma, Libra Publishers, New York, 1977, if you want. From that moment on, I knew that real science and real spirituality are actually one and the same thing. There’s only one reality. It is not in conflict with itself, and your consciousness is designed to experience it directly, not through the filter of crafty word salads prepared by the minions of evil.

I am not against science. I am against the use of science for political gain. When politicians say, “We’re following the science”, they are relying on the likelihood that listeners have bought into the lie that science is always right. Politicians who say that they will always follow the science are lying to you. They will only follow “the science” when it agrees with their agenda. And science is not always right, because the very meaning of science is to probe, hypothesize, test, and falsify or verify. Science is constantly changing as consciousness expands to discover new aspects of reality.

So, what are some of the ways that might be helpful if you want to try to expand your consciousness? Self-inquiry, science, prayer, religious ritual, seeking the fellowship of saints, practicing the presence of God, meditation techniques, mental exercises, psychological analysis, positive thinking, affirmations, mantras, spiritual pilgrimages, Yoga, Buddhism, Christian mysticism, Sufism, fasting, mind-altering substances, reading the Bible, asking what would Jesus do? All of the above, some of the above, none of the above? Actually, the approach that will work best for you depends on where you are in your own personal spiritual journey. Perhaps I need to elaborate on that briefly.

AN OVERVIEW OF REALITY AND OUR PLACE IN IT

People alive on the planet at this time, tend to gravitate toward one of two states of mind: the giver or the taker. Th taker never has enough, and the giver can never give enough, so both are in a perpetual state of need. But reality is not binary, it is triadic. The third choice is to realize that in reality, we possess nothing, and have no need to give or receive. Possessing nothing, we have everything. Trying to possess something, we have nothing. To be clear, I am not advocating communism, where the state owns everything, or capitalism, where the banks own everything. Whatever the form of government, preferably somewhere between the extremes, the individual should realize that ultimately, no one, and no organization of people can ever possess any part of reality. Even your body is a gift from God, not a possession. It's a gift over which you are given responsibility, not ownership. The third way is the royal way: the way of the observant, benevolent king. And the triadic nature of reality is important to keep in mind for many reasons.

Recall the quote from Nikola Tesla in the last post:

“If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6, and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.”

The magnificence of the 3, 6, and 9 is displayed in the symmetry and grandeur of the repetitive patterns in the kingdom of creation. But reality can only be understood from the point of view of a conscious observer. Conceptualizations that do not include consciousness in its three forms: primary, secondary, and tertiary, are incomplete and misleading. An overview, from the primary, cosmic, or galactic point of view, is one of a smooth, infinitely continuous progression from the simplicity of the first binary distinction to the infinite complexity of God. That smooth progression is not linear, but increasingly exponential and multi-dimensional as galactic time goes on.

As you zoom in on a segment of the progression, toward the lower end, where we are today as human beings on Planet Earth (Planetary Time 2022 A.D.), the progression begins to look grainy, composed of objects that are composed of elements that are composed of quantized matter, energy, and consciousness. Matter is spatial, energy is temporal, and consciousness is the self-referential aspect of quantized mass, energy, and consciousness. But the essence of reality is infinitely continuous and non-physical. As pointed out in the many previous publications and posts, reality is mostly (about 95.1% at present) non-physical. Recall that Tesla said:

The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena; it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.

As part of humanity, you and I, dear reader, are part of the science of the future that Tesla refers to. We will become experts in consciousness expansion by trying all of the methods listed in the last paragraph of the previous section of this post over many lifetimes. Experts are not necessarily special or gifted. An expert in a given endeavor is just someone who has made pretty much all of the mistakes that can be made in relation to that endeavor. Here, I would like to paraphrase Nikola Tesla:

The human brain is a receiver. The transmitter is the heart of reality, from which love, knowledge, strength, and inspiration radiate. Everyone should consider his [or her] body a priceless gift from one whom we love above all, a marvelous work of art, of indescribable beauty, and mystery beyond human conception, and so delicate … an antenna capable of tuning in to the thoughts of G0D!

It is incumbent upon each and every human being to do everything within our power to determine exactly where we are, singularly and collectively, on the spiritual journey, and find the perfect method for our individual advancement toward Cosmic Consciousness, as kings and queens in the Kingdom of Heaven.

ESCAPING FROM THE PRISON

The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! – Matthew 6:22-23

Your body can be a dark prison of despair, or it can be a temple/laboratory filled with light. Which do you want? It’s your choice. We have to admit, however, that, for most of us, making our eye single and turning our bodies from dark prisons into divine laboratories of light is much easier said than done! In fact, it is so difficult that most people don’t even try; most prefer to relent, rather than repent, sink into habit, and think of the scripture above as only a metaphor, and the forces of evil rejoice.

APPROACHING THE THRESHOLD

Flashes of Light

After practicing consciousness-stabilizing meditation techniques for a while, or when in a deep state of relaxation just before going to sleep at night, you may see flashes of light or swirling whiteness behind the darkness of closed eyes. I am not referring to light flashes that may form in the optic nerve or brain from the random activation of light receptors and firing of synapses in the brain that sometimes occurs just after you turn the light out and your physical eyes are trying to see when there is nothing for them to see. I am also not talking about the circular light images caused by the light pressure of your finger tips on your closed eyes in yoga practices like Yoti Mudra, that are designed to create light images to focus your attention.

I am talking about the light that exists beyond such physically generated images, the real light from the threshold and beyond. That light comes into your consciousness through the spiritual eye, the single eye, located slightly above, and in front of the two physical eyes. Our physical eyes are limited to reception of only a very narrow band of electromagnetic radiation, the spiritual eye is not.

Objective Self Inquiry

Many people are drawn to the guided self-inquiry of psychoanalysis, and they generally enjoy it, as long as it is comfortable and reassuring to the ego, but they often recoil and avoid the real, objective Self-inquiry that I am talking about here, because it exposes the ego as a fraud. When the ego begins to dissolve, fear of oblivion comes to its rescue. Believing that attachment to the body is the only reality, the ego sees death of the body as the end of everything and tries to hold on as long as it can.

It is to the ego’s advantage to hide the existence of the threshold from you by promoting the lie that nothing exists but matter and physical force, that physical forms of organic life are the only venues of consciousness, and that death is the scary “undiscovered country from whose bourn no traveler returns”. If you never experience consciousness outside of the body during this life, the lie might as well be true. But escaping the physical and intellectual traps of life on this planet will take considerable effort and then an effortless effort on your part.

Being aware that there is a threshold, upon which moving forward into a more expanded state of consciousness may be possible, is a start. But the negative forces of duality have given your ego a lot of tricks to employ, including the ability to conjure up attractive images and fantasies. So, care must be taken to develop a strict discipline of internal objectivity; otherwise, a lot of precious time and energy can be wasted reacting to imaginary demons and chasing false flags, all designed to distract and hide real spiritual phenomena from you. The key is to cultivate a calm, expectant, but patient awareness. Then, Primary Consciousness, the higher intelligence behind all things, will reveal itself to you when you are ready.

The natural entropy of the physical form and your attachment to it makes it seem that your hair is on fire, and that you must act. “Do something, even if it is wrong!” but that is the illusion of time that comes along with attachment to a physical body. Physical time is quantized, but spiritual time is infinitely deep and continuous. An important part of the spiritual journey lies in developing the patience to be able to surrender to the will of God and allow yourself to become aligned with the natural patterns of reality and the logic of Primary Consciousness. When you are aligned, your consciousness expands, and you begin to see the whole picture, you realize that that everything is exactly as it should be. Then life is no longer the weathering of a storm, you can dance in the rain, see God’s love in a wild flower, and eternity in an hour. Once you are fully awake, you know that your body is a truly a temple of light; you know that the darkness of sleep and death can no longer touch you; you know that you are immortal, and you know that there is nothing, and never was, anything to fear.

NEW APPROACH PART TWENTY-ONE: THE SEEN AND THE UNSEEN

HAPPY EASTER

THE NEW APPROACH, PART TWENTY-ONE

The Seen and the Unseen

© Copyright 2022, Edward R. Close, PhD

The theme of this blogsite is displayed every time this site is visited, right above every post. But does every visitor see it, or is it largely seen but unseen? Look up, and you will see it. However, so that I am sure you have seen it, here it is, please read it again:

The integration of natural science and spirituality is accomplished by putting consciousness into the equations of the quantized relativistic model of reality. This approach, with a quantum calculus based on the precise empirical data provided by the Large Hadron Collider, leads to the discovery of gimmel, the non-physical third form that must exist in addition to mass and energy, in order for there to be a stable universe.

My point is that we are programmed by today’s electronic media to look for, to see and hear sight and sound bites consisting of only what “they” want us to see and hear. But in this series of posts, twenty-one of them so far, I am attempting to make a series of points designed to help you become more aware of the whole picture. This is what the expansion of consciousness is all about. As consciousness expands, it becomes clear that reality is much more than the sum of the parts. Arising from the simplicity of drawing the distinction of self from other, the reality we experience quickly becomes very complex, consisting of the subtle integration at the quantum level of both the seen and the unseen.

When we are in a normal state of awareness, our minds are focused on the finite localized objects of daily concern, but when we are transitioning from wakefulness to sleep, we exist on the threshold of expanded consciousness for a quantum portion of a nanosecond, whether we are aware of it or not. It is possible to learn to pause there,… and look at that which is normally unseen.

Last night I went there and this morning I remembered what I saw. It was the content of this post. – There is so much to tell, and so little time to tell it! However, in God’s time, one quantum portion of a nanosecond contains all of eternity, and when across that threshold, in turiyananda, (in the joy of the fourth state of consciousness) I am sure the whole truth shall be told.

The Greater Perspective

In the last post, the major events in the history of the discovery of gimmel, the non-physical part of reality, were outlined, revealing the fact that a major part of reality is unseen because it is not physical. Among the unseen non-physical things, is a lot of evidence of the non-physical essence of your soul that exists even when you are not associated with a physical body, either in an out-of-body experience (OBE), or between lives.

There is now ample evidence that your soul and mine, existed before we were born, and will continue to exist after we die. See the e-book version of the prize-winning essay, We Definitely Live After Death: The Scientific Proof, by Dr. Vernon Neppe, https://www.pni.org/groundbreaking, and The Best Evidence for the Afterlife by Jeffrey Mishlove, PhD jmishlove@newthinkingallowed.com. I also have a new book on proof of survival with a publisher that should be coming out soon.

The reincarnation of human souls is not a debatable question as far as I am concerned, because I have distinct memories of a number of past lives and of meetings with spiritual advisors between lives. These memories, while fragmentary, are of the same quality as my early memories of events in this life. What some readers might not know is that I am far from being the only one with such memories. The list of famous writers and thinkers who remembered their past lives and/or accepted reincarnation as fact, is lengthy. Many modern Christian church doctrines reject reincarnation even though clear references to the immortality of the soul and reincarnation existed in the earliest scrolls and translations of the Christian scriptures that became the New Testament of the Bible, but were removed from Christian theology in 553 A.D., not by priests or scholars, but by a Roman Emperor for purely political purposes. As a result, Western civilization has nearly lost one of the greatest spiritual truths.

A recent survey by the Global Research Society and the Institute for Social Research, of more than 18,000 people in 23 countries, reveals that 51% of the people in the world believe in reincarnation. And even though there is far more scientific evidence for reincarnation than for the existence of the Higgs boson, and a majority of the population of the planet accept it as real, Western scientists, because of belief, not science, still largely reject it.

The German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer said:

“Were an Asiatic to ask me for a definition of Europe, I should be forced to answer him: It is that part of the world which is haunted by the incredible delusion that man is created out of nothing, and that his present birth is his first entrance into life.”

Mark Twain, born Samuel Langhorne Clemens in Missouri (1835 -1910) said:

I have been born more times than anybody except Krishna.”

I won’t take the time and space to go into more detail here, but, if you want more detail, please see The Book of Atma, Libra Publishers, New York, and Secrets of the Sacred Cube, A Cosmic Love Story, Part VI through Part X, Outskirts Press. Also, the largest body of well-documented scientific evidence of the reality of reincarnation is found in professional papers and books written by Dr. Ian Stevenson (1918-2007), who was professor of psychology and psychiatry, and a research psychiatrist at the University of Virginia. Dr. Stevenson documented more than 3,000 cases of children around the world who remembered previous lives, many in enough detail that he was able verify the accuracy of their memories. His books for the public, including Children who Remember Previous Lives, are available on Amazon.

As stated in the previous post (Part Twenty) of this series: The group consciousness of sentient beings on this planet will expand into the great understanding of Cosmic Consciousness in the fullness of God’s time, some ten-thousand years in the future. There is nothing the forces of Evil can do to stop it. But, for those on the threshold of true awakening now, that is too long to wait.

Here we see the paradoxical result of being identified with a physical body. You are subject to the frustration of experiencing the relatively rapid entropic decay of the organic compounds that make up the human body, because they are not as stable as the proton. So now, the problem for your soul when associated with a physical body is how to expand your consciousness as much as possible during the short window of opportunity in this lifetime and escape the misery of the glacially slow passage of planetary time. We seem to be swept along with the innate evil of the world, but, fortunately, we have some choices.

In the physical world, the choice always seems to be binary, with the forces of good and evil competing for your energy and commitment. But that is part of the illusion. Whether you fight for good or evil, you are still trapped in duality. In Part Nineteen, discussing the difference between the calculus of dimensional distinctions of TDVP and G. Spencer Brown’s calculus of indications, we saw that excluding consciousness from models of reality makes the logic systems of those models binary. But with the inclusion of consciousness in the quantum calculus of TDVP, its logic becomes triadic. This is a reflection of the fact that the real world is triadic: Everything, including your body, is mass, energy, and consciousness, and you may choose to join the forces of good or evil, or you can choose to transcend. That brings us to the question of how to transcend. What are the ways provided for us to expand our consciousness and transcend pain and suffering by identifying with spiritual reality instead of a physical body? There are many, but they all involve the expansion of consciousness into awareness of the non-physical. Every soul has the potential of doing this and associating with those who have succeeded to some extent, is helpful.

As a practical matter, however, I recommend avoiding institutional organizations as much as you can, because the larger an organization becomes, the more likely it is to be predominately evil. People are quite naturally drawn into groups of ostensibly like-minded people, but then will do things in the name of an organization, especially a political organization, that no one would ever do alone, as a compassionate, intelligent human being. Unfortunately,  both religious and scientific organizations are easily converted into political organizations by Luciferian forces. The slow conversion of organizations from good to evil is one of Satan’s favorite tricks.

World-wide religions are generally based on the teachings of an Avatar of God, who is one with Christ Consciousness, but within a couple of generations after the departure of the Avatar, in order to survive in a changing world, the organization starts modifying the teachings and then slowly degenerates into thinking that their way is the only way, making it all about the Transcendence of God and a few Special Beings, who just happen to be the administrative heads of their organization. Similar to the way religious organizations become the opposite of what they were meant to be, scientific organizations also become political and unscientific very easily.

What I am trying to do in this series of blogposts, is to help further awaken as many readers as I can to the rare possibility of individual consciousness expansion offered, by the grace of God, through the auspices of the few Self-realized beings (Avatars) who have reincarnated from the past and future Sat yugas (times of highest illumination) to help us through these dark times. The evil of this world, Lucifer, if your like, is doing everything in his power to hinder their efforts by using deluded egoist “elites” and politicians (“but”, as Mark Twain said: “I repeat myself!”) to pass out misinformation and lies for truth. This hinderance includes making us believe that spirituality, especially in the form of organized religion, is evil, and that evil, especially in the forms of Marxism and materialistic socialism, are good. This reversal of good and evil has affected the world more dramatically for the past fifty years than ever before, and it has become especially bad during the Covid pandemic.

The infiltration of evil, in the form of various versions of self-destructive Marxist atheism, into the  institutions of mainstream science, education, healthcare, news outlets, popular entertainment, and social media, started in earnest in the 1960s, and was almost complete by 2015. God used people from outside the established elected and non-elected evil elite, like Julian Assange, Edward Snowden, and President Donald J. Trump to disrupt and expose the almost totally corrupted world governments, including the US two-party political system. As he has done many times in the past, God used imperfect human beings. Of course, all of us are imperfect, except for God-realized spiritual beings, who are very rare at this point in planetary time.

You may be asking what gimmel and TDVP have to do with this. Recall that Serbian technical genius Nikola Tesla (1856 -1943) famously said:

The day science begins to study non-physical phenomena; it will make more progress in one decade than in all the previous centuries of its existence.

That day is here. And the focused use of the scientific methods taught by all God-realized Spiritual Masters can lift human beings from suffering and despair into the ecstasy of expanded consciousness and eventually, Cosmic Consciousness. Was Nikola Tesla a God-realized Soul? Evidence from what we are told about his life do not suggest that, but his intellectual achievements do suggest that he was well ahead of most on the path of positive consciousness expansion. He also said:

“If you only knew the magnificence of the 3, 6, and 9, then you would have a key to the universe.”

The quantum calculus of TDVP has revealed that reality is triadic. There are three forms of the essence of reality, and the number 3 is repeated through the patterns of reality when assessed in quantum equivalence units (TRUE). There are 3 forms of the essence of reality: mass. Energy and consciousness content, 3 dimensions each of 3 types of finite dimensional domains (3x3 = 9) that extend in opposite directions along each of 3 orthogonal dimensions, so, there are 2x3 = 6 cardinal directions. And that’s just the beginning. The magnificence of everything that decorates and illuminates the universe, from the smallest crystal to the largest galaxy, is built on patterns of 3, 6, and 9! Tesla clearly understood a lot beyond the world of his time. About his obvious genius-level intellect he said:

“My brain is only a receiver, in the Universe there is a core from which we obtain knowledge, strength and inspiration.”

About the human body, he suggested:

“Everyone should consider his [or her] body as a priceless gift from one whom he loves above all, a marvelous work of art, of indescribable beauty, and mystery beyond human conception, and so delicate that a word, a breath, a look, nay, a thought may injure it.”

His is a far better assessment than that of mainstream physicians and scientists who are predominantly materialists. I would add to Tesla’s assessment that the human body is so sensitive that a thought may also heal, strengthen, protect, and even transform it, and for fully enlightened beings, it is a temple filled with light.

‘God doth not need
Either man’s work or his own gifts; who best
Bear his mild yoke, they serve him best. His state
Is Kingly. Thousands at his bidding speed
And post o’er Land and Ocean without rest:
They also serve who only stand and wait.’
- John Milton, “On His Blindness”.

Looking Back

The discovery of the existence of a measurable form of consciousness, now known as gimmel, the third form of physical reality after mass and energy, has a well-documented history. Important parts of that history reach all the way back to the works of the French mathematician Pierre de Fermat with his famous Last Theorem in1637, and the German mathematician Georg Cantor with his Infinity of infinities, around 1900. The discovery of the existence of gimmel about a decade ago, led to the formulation of the Neppe-Close Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP) a major paradigm-shifting model. A brief summary of that history is an appropriate background for this post. Here it is, presented in reverse order:

I have posted a link to the most recent presentation of the basic ideas behind TDVP and non-physical gimmel on my FB page. It is an April 2022 YouTube video of a zoom recording of Dr Neppe addressing a group of scientists. Here is the link again: https://youtu.be/TTwDgR50DMY. Major parts of the derivation of gimmel have been posted on this blog site. You can search the site from 2019 to the present to find them. Also see  www.brainvoage.com.

The most recent publication of the complete mathematical proof of the existence of gimmel, the non-physical part of reality, is an important part of my chapter in the book IS CONSCIOUSNESS PRIMARI? – Volume 1 in Advances in Postmaterialist Sciences, edited by Gary E. Schwartz and Marjorie H. Woollacott, 2019. It has also been published, with more detail, in Part II of SECRETS OF THE SACRED CUBE, a Cosmic Love Story, Close, E.R. and J.A., Outskirts Press, 2019, available on Amazon.

Dr. Vernon Neppe, MD, PhD, and I have been working together for about fourteen years now, and we have published scores of peer-reviewed papers, and five editions of Reality Begins with Consciousness, explaining TDVP and the mathematics behind it. The fifth edition of the book is currently available at https://brainvoyage.com/shop/catalog . Other relevant links can be accessed through https://www.pni.org/groundbreaking .

I published an infinite descent proof of the existence of a non-physical final receptor in the process of human perception in Appendix C of : A CALCULUS OF DISTINCTIONS PROOF of The Existence of Non-Quantum Receptors, in my third book, TRANSCENDENTAL PHYSICS, Paradigm Press, Jackson Missouri, 1997, and I had previously published the basic development of the calculus of distinctions seven years earlier, in my second book, Infinite Continuity, A Theory Unifying Relativity and Quantum Physics, released in 1990.

Prior to that, in 1965, I used the basic reasoning of infinite descent to prove Pierre de Fermat’s Last Theorem (FLT), which became an important part of the logic leading straight through the calculus of distinctions to proof of the existence of gimmel, the non-physical part of electrons and quarks, the building blocks of the atoms of the periodic table.

The 1965 proof of FLT, with documentation of its first submittal to mainstream mathematicians, was published in an appendix of my first published book, The Book of Atma, Libra Publishers, Inc, New York, 1977, and the history of the various reviews and unsuccessful attempts to disprove FLT65 since then is available in the archive s of this blogsite.

Disclaimer

In this series of blogposts, I am discussing science and spirituality from the viewpoint of biopsychophysics, a new scientific discipline initiated by TDVP, with its own system of mathematical logic. Major paradigm shifts of the past have always required new mathematics. Relativity, e.g., required the new mathematics of four-dimensional spacetime, and quantum physics required new geometric and probabilistic interpretations of matrix algebra and probabilistic wave equations. TDVP requires the complexity of quantum equivalence units, a quantum calculus, dimensional extrapolation, and a new interpretation of Diophantine equations. It should not be too surprising that a paradigm shift from the simplicity of materialism to the hyper-dimensional complexity of biopsychophysics, encompassing non-physical phenomena, would require some pretty complex new mathematics.

In this series of posts, I will be making some predictions, but I am not claiming to be a seer, prophet, or spiritual guru, inspired by visions from God, I am simply reporting here on some of the more significant findings resulting from applications of the quantum mathematics of the calculus of dimensional distinctions to human experience. My role at this point, and the purpose of these posts is to explain, to the best of my ability, the mathematical logic of TDVP and the proof of the existence of measurable non-physical gimmel and its relationship to the expansion of consciousness in a way that almost anyone can understand.

Looking Forward

In a very important book, The Holy Science, by Paramahansa Yogananda’s Guru, Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, written in India in 1894, copyrighted, and reprinted in the US by Self-Realization Fellowship in 1949, the periodic astronomical movements of the planet Earth are meticulously traced and correlated astrologically with the historical advancement of science and civilization, reflecting the advancement of mental and spiritual virtue from the time we exited the Kali Yuga (the lowest age of conscious virtue) in 1599, and moved into the Dwapara Yuga, an age of expanding consciousness, until the time the book was written in1894, and beyond, all the way to the next high point of consciousness expansion, 10,477 years in the future.

Please don’t be put off by my use of some remnants of Sanskrit terminology from Jainism, Hinduism, and Buddhism. It is the most expressive way of conveying knowledge from the last apex of human enlightenment in 11,501 B.C, and an important part of what I am trying to do is to facilitate the integration of the core truths of all human efforts to understand the nature of reality, both scientific and spiritual. It is only that kind of integration that will counteract Satan’s devious efforts to divide and conquer the spirit of the human soul.

The group consciousness of sentient beings on this planet will expand into the great understanding of Cosmic Consciousness in the fullness of God’s time, some ten-thousand years in the future. There is nothing the forces of Evil can do to stop it. But, for those on the threshold of true awakening now, that is too long to wait. Even though it may be said by a talented poet who was slowly going blind, that “they also serve who only stand and wait”, God’s Love has provided wonderful ways for beleaguered souls, those of us who do not want to stand and wait for ten thousand years, to forge ahead of the pack. Be forewarned, however, that Satan’s minions will spare no effort to block and throw doubt upon those wonderous ways and those who pursue them!

In future blogposts, I hope to be able to focus on some of those wonderous ways that have been provided for us by God’s Avatars (fully enlightened souls), who have gone before. For now, please receive the waves of Love that I am sending from my heart of hearts, embedded in the substrate of Primary Consciousness, to your heart, embedded in the same pervasive extension of the Great I Am. Shalom, Shanti, Peace. Aum, Amin, Amen.

A NEW APPROACH, PART NINETEEN: REALITY EXPLAINS ITSELF

A NEW APPROACH, PART NINETEEN: REALITY EXPLAINS ITSELF

© Copyright 2022, Edward R. Close, PhD

I am aware that the threads contributing to the central theme of this series of posts may be difficult to follow. We are dealing with a number of new concepts, ranging from simple to complex, that are addressed by TDVP. These new concepts may seem unrelated until you realize that every aspect of reality is intimately connected to every other aspect of reality at the deepest level. Physically, that deepest level is the quantum level, and quantum level phenomena cannot be understood by applying analyses that were designed on the macroscale before we knew that physical reality is quantized on the quantum scale. Unfortunately, problems and paradoxes generally cannot be resolved within the paradigm that created them: A new paradigm is needed.

When the existing mainstream paradigm has ripened to the point where all but a few insignificant details have been filled in, science must go through a major paradigm shift in order to proceed. TDVP is the major paradigm shift needed today. Expansion of the basic scientific assumptions to enable science to include consciousness and spiritual phenomena has been needed for a long time. By revising the assumption of objectivity to expand science beyond simple materialism, TDVP has resolved the problems of conflicting theories, and has explained many things that were either not addressed at all, or only poorly explained by mainstream science.

From Simplicity to Complexity in a Few Easy Steps                                         As human beings, we find ourselves in the middle of a reality that stretches from the unimaginably small to the unimaginably large, extending in all directions in three-dimensional space. When we are born, we seem to have awakened in the middle of a confusion of human drama that stretches from the far distant past, into an uncertain future, along an imaginary one-dimensional timeline defined by events, good, bad, and everything in between, occurring in the past, present, and future.

In the mainstream scientific models developed prior to TDVP, objectivity was assumed to be completely independent of the consciousness of the observer. This unwarranted assumption led to a number of conceptual contradictions and paradoxes at the quantum level. The paradoxes found in science result from errors in the models constructed by the scientists, not in objective reality. Reality reflects the stability of the proton, the most stable object in the universe, with patterns repeating endlessly, not the chaos and instability that conflicts between quantum reality and everyday macro reality would cause.

Rather than deal with the unwarranted assumption, mainstream scientists choose to call the conflicts in their paradigm “quantum weirdness” and say things like “If you aren’t shocked by quantum physics, then you haven’t understood it!” and “Just accept the weirdness and move on!” For nearly 100 years, mainstream scientists have tried to patch the two main theories of physics: relativity and quantum mechanics together by trying to explain the stability of the proton with odd concepts and ephemeral particles like gluons and the Higgs boson, with little real success. The theories just got more complex and even weirder with dimensionless, massless particles that somehow impart mass to other particles. As it turns out, physical reality is not made of solid particles, it is made of rotating and expanding energy and consciousness.

In TDVP, on the other hand, we have gone back to the basic assumption of objectivity and included the consciousness of the observer in the model as one of the dimensions of reality. We represent the dimensional domain of this world that we experience through the senses, with the notation 3S-1t-1c, where S represents space, t represents time, and c stands for the individual consciousness of an observer, and the integer in front of each letter is the number of dimensions of that type. The reality contained in the 3S-1t-1c dimensional domain is only a small part of the totality of existence, the part revealed by the filters of our limited physical senses. We know now that more than 95% of reality is not apprehended by human physical senses because it is either simply not detected by the senses, and/or it is not physical.

It is only with the recent discovery of gimmel, the non-physical part of reality, that actually makes the proton so stable, and logical and technological extensions of our mental acuity and physical senses, that we have become minimally aware of the larger, non-physical part of reality. The comprehensive model of reality that we call TDVP incorporates both physical and non-physical phenomena. It is also important to note that the results of TDVP analyses upholds and verifies Einstein’s assertion that space and time “claim no existence of their own.” They are dimensional parameters of the external structure of the combined mass, energy and consciousness contained within n-dimensional domains.

In the TDVP model, the dynamic phenomena that make up objective reality are further described as consisting of measurable amounts of mass, energy, and consciousness, existing in finite dimensional domains having at least nine measurable dimensions. This is indicated by the notation 3S-3T-3C. The letters S, T, and C are capitalized in this notation, as opposed to the lower-case t and c in the notation 3S-1t-1c, to reflect the difference between what exists in reality and what is perceived by the physical senses of a human observer.

The triadic structure of 3S-3T-3C dimensions is not arbitrary. It reflects a mathematical invariance inherent in dimensional domains. I discovered this invariance while applying the process of dimensional extrapolation, and in the development of the quantum calculus (CoDD). Dimensional extrapolation is the name I gave the process of moving the focus of analysis from a dimensional domain with n dimensions, into the next dimensional domain, i.e., the n+1 dimensional domain, where the number n can be any positive integer.

Calculating the value of the unitary projection from a domain with a given number of dimensions, n, into the next domain with n+1 dimensions, we find that it is always an nth root of unity, which becomes the consistent unit of measurement for the added dimension of the expanded (n+1)-dimensional domain. After each series of three projections, the unit of projection out of the n-D domain into the (n+1)-D domain is an increasingly more complex number. This sequence of increasingly more complex units is consistent with the fact that the contents of dimensional domains become more and more complex with each additional dimension, exhibiting more detail and increasingly subtle qualities, as the phenomena become more hyper-dimensional.

In addition to the measurable variables of dimensions, there are measurable variables related to the contents of the dimensional domains. They are the variables measuring mass, energy, and conscious content. Proof of the following statement is straight forward, but beyond the scope of this post.

In the quantum calculus (CoDD) all variables can only take on integer values because all phenomena in physical reality are quantized.

The integer value (1, 2, 3, …) of a given variable in an observation will be a specific whole number, depending on the phenomenon being observed and measured. The quantized mathematical measurements of objective phenomena existing in the nine finite dimensional domains represented by 3S-3T-3C are variables of three types: 1) variables of extent defining the boundaries of the space-time-consciousness domain containing the phenomena; 2) variables of content defining the substance of the space-time-consciousness phenomena contained within the domain; and 3) variables of intent defining the quality, meaning, and purpose of the phenomena being measured.

In the Calculus of Dimensional Distinctions (CoDD) the basic units of measurement are three-dimensional, having the same volume as the free electron, and an expression that completely describes the form and substance of a finite object occupying a finite portion of reality will have nine dimensions and three categories of content. Thus, a complete description of the object will be a function of twelve variables. But an expression for the same object observed through the five physical senses of the average human being, is a function of only eight variables, written as f(x,y,z,t1,c1,m,E,C) in conventional mathematical notation.

Because the quantum equivalence units of the calculus of dimensional distinctions are three dimensional, the development of a whole new system of mathematical notation is necessary. Even the fundamental operations of mathematics have to be redefined in the new system. I developed the basics of this system between 1986 and 1989, and published it in Infinite Continuity, a book released in1990. Unfortunately, this book is no longer in print, but I have reproduced most of the theorems and their proofs in other papers and books, including in an appendix of Transcendental Physics, a book published in 1997, available on Amazon.com.

The development of a new mathematical system is not a trivial task - see for instance, G. Spencer Brown’s elegant work, Laws of Form – so I will not try to reproduce it here for several reasons, including its length and the necessity of introducing a totally new and different type of notation that is very hard to reproduce in this format. Also, this discussion is not intended to be a rigorous scientific paper. It is an attempt to explain, to the best of my ability, in terms that anyone can understand, the need for, basis of, and importance of the calculus of dimensional distinctions.

In his book, Laws of Form, G. Spencer Brown develops a primary calculus and uses it to derive the laws governing the innate forms of objective reality, He starts by saying that the severing of a space brings a whole universe into existence. Symbolizing the act of the severance of a space with a distinguishing mark indicating the difference perceived between the inside and outside of a finite closed space, he uses the symbol in two equations, one expressing contraction and expansion, the other expressing the reversal of distinction, or cancellation. Then he uses these equations as the initial equations of the primary calculus, a system of logic that he calls the calculus of indications.

Using this primary calculus, he proves a number of theorems that reflect the general logical form that bears a remarkable resemblance to the finite structures that we observe in the physical universe, and the logical structure of systems in human thought, ranging from the structures of atoms to the structure of biological systems, to human languages. The calculus of dimensional distinctions is similar to Brown’s calculus of indications, with some significant differences.

It is truly amazing that, if, as Brown’s work strongly suggests, all of the complexities of the physical universe follow automatically from the simple act of the drawing a distinction. But, even though Professor Brown begins his development of the calculus of indications by defining the basic unit of calculation as the drawing of a distinction between inside and outside by a conscious entity, he adheres to the unwarranted assumption of the object’s independence of the existence and state of consciousness of the observer by leaving consciousness out of the formulation of the calculus. This exclusion makes the logic of the calculus binary. The inclusion of consciousness in the quantum calculus of TDVP makes its logic tertiary.

The perception of a 3S-3T-3C phenomenon by individuals (human or other sentient beings) may vary, and they may be incomplete relative to the reality being observed. Depending upon a given observer’s state of consciousness, the dimensional domains perceived will have different numbers of S, T, and C dimensions, ranging from 1 to 3. The difference can be indicated by writing the number of dimensions in front of the S, T, and C. If, for a given observer, the number of dimensions in either space, time, or consciousness is less than 3, then S, T, or C will be written in lowercase, indicating that the observation is an incomplete perception of reality. Dr. Neppe and I have called this individual perception indivension. For example, the notation describing the observational domain of the average human being at this time in the planetary time cycle is 3S-1t-1c, totaling five dimensions, but a person with expanded consciousness who can see 3S-2t-1c, e.g., would, in effect be aware of a quantum plane of time containing a range of possible futures, and would have a scientifically describable view of reality, known now as a psychic ability.

Depending upon how many and which kind of dimensions of reality a given conscious being is able to perceive, that person will be clairvoyant, telepathic, or even all-knowing. Such abilities are very rare at this point in planetary time because we are still more than 10,000 years away from the next high point in consciousness evolution. For a more detailed description of the periodic cycles of planetary time, see The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri, who is Paramahansa Yogananda’s Guru, and Secrets of the Sacred Cube, a cosmic love story by Ed & Jacqui Close.

By application of the TRUE analysis of TDVP, Primary Consciousness is revealed as the only reality.

[I often refer to the quantum calculus (CoDD) analysis of reality as TRUE analysis, because the quantum equivalence unit based on the rest mass and volume of the electron, is the Triadic Rotational Unit of Equivalence, which is a volumetric, i.e., three-dimensional, unit of measurement.]

The finite structures appearing in the 3S-1t dimensional domain that we know through the physical senses as the physical universe, are incomplete, or partial manifestations of logical patterns existing in Primary Consciousness. And each conscious soul contains quanta of Primary Consciousness, acting like a seed that has the potential of eventually growing into a state of Oneness with Primary Consciousness.

The Human Condition

We are seeds of Primary Consciousness and the only meaningful purpose of finite reality is to provide a field in which we can grow if we choose to. Everything that enhances spiritual growth and increases our chances of fulfilling our potential is good, and anything that hampers or blocks spiritual progress, is counter to the purpose for which finite reality exists, and is therefore, evil. This is the true definition of good and evil. The opportunity to choose either good or evil and progress or regress spiritually, is the true purpose of life. That choice is often a difficult one, but you can know what is good and evil, who is good and who is evil by the fruits of their actions.

Every thought and willful action of a soul identifying itself with a physical body has an effect on that soul’s physical, mental, and spiritual growth. Actions that a soul chooses to take, that results in healthy physical, mental, and spiritual growth, moving the soul toward the goal of Cosmic Consciousness, expands that soul’s individualized consciousness, and actions chosen that result in diminishing or reversing spiritual growth, causes that soul’s individualized consciousness to contract.

The trauma of being born, ejected painfully from a warm, secure place where we have no unfulfilled needs, and thrust into a frightening world over which we have no control, causes us to forget our past, and forces us to deal with an unknown future over which we have no control. No wonder babies cry when going through the ordeal of being born into this world! Only the natural love between mother and child makes this ordeal tolerable. Each of us has to deal with this world of pain and potential suffering while in a limited, still forming physical, mental, and spiritual body that makes up our existence as an individual soul. The trauma of this transition causes us to forget who we are, and we begin to believe in the illusion of beginnings and ends. Forced into this dichotomy, our lives in the delusion of duality on this planet begins.

Within that slowly forming organism we come to know as our own  body, we have a brain, a biological physical object with amazing complexity of structure and potential. It is, however, at any point in three-dimensional space and one-dimensional time, finite, and thus it is an uncomfortable confinement for the mind, which is the thinking part of the soul, a quantum of infinite intelligence. And so, upon birth into a new physical body, we begin to live in the basic dichotomy, a dualistic or binary existence at the interface between the finite and the infinite, the discrete and the infinitely continuous. The effort to understand reality from this waystation on the threshold of Infinity is overwhelming for the finite physical brain, but the infinite mind instinctively knows that it is possible to advance through expanded states of consciousness, toward the perfection of the soul. Just before the time of birth, at the time of death, and in deep sleep, we are on the threshold of a transcendental state of consciousness. See Part One in this series, entitled The Threshold, posted on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2021.

As spiritually evolving souls, we have willfully chosen to separate ourselves temporarily from the Infinite to experience the painful descent into finite reality by being born on this little planet, even though we know that to survive here, we must identify with a limited physical body with all of its inherent suffering and pain. Why? Because we desire to be with family and friends we knew in past lives and experience the wonders of the physical universe.

When consciousness is condensed this far, however, and confined to limited awareness to the point of identifying completely with a physical body, we eventually feel our separation from the Infinite intensely, and feel that we are trapped in an inescapable situation, as an uncomfortable speck of painful awareness lost in a vast sea of tumultuous competing forces, over which we have no control. When partially awakened, we begin to realize that we have given up the freedom and joy of spiritual existence, and we may find ourselves in the state of despair that is called the dark night of the soul. The only escape to be found is by turning back to the love of the Infinite.

In the depths of our consciousness, we know that we are immortal souls, and that the suffering of birth, life, and death, is a process of purification that is necessary in order for us, as seeds of Primary Consciousness, to learn and grow, and eventually become whole spiritual beings. The illusion of time is the barrier that separates us from the goal of eternal Oneness, from which we have fallen, but never completely separated. Life is just something that happens again and again until our consciousness is expanded to the point that are fully aware of what and who we are.

NEW APPROACH PART EIGHTEEN

WHAT IS THE TRUTH?

© Copyright 2022, Edward R. Close, PhD

Introduction

I have a friend who is a certified member of more than 30 high-IQ societies, with very high-level entry requirements. Even most of the members of MENSA would not be able to qualify for membership in them. No one would doubt that my friend is an exceptionally gifted person. But he is not very happy. Why would he feel the need to join so many high-IQ societies? What is he trying to prove? What should he do with his life? Is his life worth living? These are serious questions that I will not try to discuss further in a public forum because I respect my friend’s privacy, and because the academic subject of intelligence is only peripherally related to the subject I want to discuss in this post. I do, however, want to make a point that I think is relevant:

A person’s intelligence quotient (IQ) is nothing more than a measure of his or her relative intellectual potential. That number alone is not very important. What the individual does with that potential IS important.

When I was a junior in High School in Houston Missouri, my classmates, and I were given a battery of aptitude tests and the standard Stanford-Benet IQ test. Most of us didn’t take the tests very seriously. They were administered by Mrs. Roberts, the school’s guidance counselor, for the purpose of helping us know what we might be able to do with our lives. We were shown our scores on the aptitude tests but were not told our IQ scores - for obvious reasons. The guidance counselor, who also taught English, knew that I was interested in science and mathematics, and she also knew that I had very little interest in other subjects. What Mrs. Roberts said during my private counselling session, changed my life forever. She said: “You scored in the 99 percentiles on all of the aptitude tests, and your IQ is good enough that you should be successful in science, engineering, or anything you might choose to do.”

Students were being told at that time that people going into professional careers should have IQs in the 120 to 125 range. So, I assumed that I had probably scored somewhere in that range. I was curious about how I had done on the IQ test, but when I asked, she said: “Your score on the IQ test is unimportant. It’s just a measure of potential. What IS important, is what you do with that potential.” She paused to let me think about what she had said, and then continued: “If you become the greatest scientist who ever lived, but can’t communicate what you learn to others, it is meaningless!" I knew that what Mrs. Roberts had said was true, and from that moment on, I began to take my education more seriously.

Looking back, I realize that none of us lives in a vacuum. While success in life depends primarily on our own thinking and actions, what we have, the raw material of mental resources that we have to deal with life, is what God and our ancestors gave us. I know that some of my ancestors, including a great grandfather on one side, and a great uncle on the other, were well-educated professionals, but beyond that, I know very little about them. My ancestors immigrated from Europe, England, Scotland, and Ireland to America from about 1720 to 1850 and eventually to the Midwest. My grandparents on both sides came to the St. François Mountains before Missouri was a state. It was still part of the Louisiana Territory on the frontier of a new nation. They came here seeking the freedom to live their lives as they saw fit.

The two small villages, where my parents were born, about 20 miles apart, were basically mining camps, several days’ journey by horse and wagon south of St. Louis. Life was hard, and they worked hard to help support their families. Education beyond the eighth grade was not an option for either of my parents. My mother dreamed of being a dancer, but she never had the opportunity to fulfill that dream. Because she was one of the eldest in a family of ten children, she had to help care for her younger siblings, and she married my father at the age of 19 and became a mother and a housewife. My father had some natural skills and the ability to build things, so he became a carpenter, later a small business owner, and after World War II, a police officer.

I was born in the relatively peaceful time period between World War I and World War II. When I began talking at the age of nine months, my mother realized that I had a better than average ability to learn, so she began teaching me to read and write and basic math before I was old enough to go to school. School was easy for me, and my parents encouraged me, telling me that I could be anything I wanted to be. My maternal grandmother and paternal grandfather were of German descent, and my best friend was from a family of German descent, so I learned German at an early age, and because I found languages interesting, I started learning Spanish and French at the age of eleven or twelve. Algebra and geometry were easy for me, and I discovered Einstein’s special theory of relativity the summer I was fourteen. It opened a fascinating new world for me, and I decided that I wanted to be a physicist.

I was blessed to have the ancestors and parents I had, to be born when and where I was, and to grow up close to nature in peaceful times, and finally, to have the opportunity to apply myself in ways that might benefit my family and maybe even humanity in general. When the tests indicated that I had the potential to succeed at whatever I wanted to do, it simply verified what my parents had been telling me from day one: I could be whatever I chose to be. Unlike my friend who is obsessed with IQ, I knew that IQ was not nearly as important as motivation, so I applied myself in order to try to achieve whatever my potential might be. I never knew or cared what my score was on that high school IQ test, until I was 72 years old – technically a senior citizen. Why and how I came to know my IQ is not important, but I learned that I had scored above 165 on that high school test. Later, my scores on the graduate record exam, the Army General Classification Test (AGCT), actuarial systems analysis tests, and a High-IQ society test, taken when I was 25, 28, 50, and 72, respectively, indicated that my IQ was higher than 165. But the rarity of IQ scores above 165 makes assigning an exact IQ number meaningless, and as Mrs. Roberts the guidance counselor said, what my IQ may or may not be, is really unimportant. What I do with whatever potential I may have, is what’s important, and that brings us back to TDVP.

My only reason for revealing the fact that I have an IQ in the same range as people like Einstein, Planck, Bohr, Pauli, and Gödel, scientists who have discovered some of the deepest secrets of reality, is to lend credibility to the claim that TDVP is the long-awaited paradigm of the future that expands science to include non-physical reality. Dr. Vernon Neppe and I have certainly made this claim - because we believe it - and it has also been made in writing by others too, namely some of the 200-plus scientists world-wide who have reviewed our work. Those whose statements lauding TDVP are quoted in many of our papers and books, include some very accomplished individuals with PhDs in physics, geophysics, astrophysics, and other sciences.

Having an exceptionally high IQ does not necessarily give one an advantage in life or make one happier than most. In fact, a person with an IQ above 175, lacking other positive human qualities like emotional maturity and social skills, may become a very unhappy, lonely, antisocial individual who will never fit into normal human society. In this regard, IQ is not unlike other relative measures of human existence and abilities. Physical size is a good example. In America, the average height of adult women is 5 feet 4 inches (2.63 meters), and the average height of men is 5 feet 9 inches (1.75 meters). A few inches more in either case can be an advantage. But the advantage goes away when it becomes extreme. Excessive height becomes a negative for women quicker than it does for men. A woman who is 6 feet to 6 feet 2 or 3 inches tall may be good at sports, but the extra height will be a social disadvantage. A man who is 6 to 7 feet tall may be good at sports, and still be considered normal otherwise. But a woman who is 7 feet tall or more, and a man who is 8 feet tall or more is likely to be disadvantaged in many ways.

In IQ scores, anyone with a score within one standard deviation (15 points) on either side of the average score of 100, which includes 68% of the population, should not have much trouble fitting in. Those in the 115 to 130 range will, like good athletes, be capable of being successful easily, and those in the 130 to 145 range (the MENSA entry level is 132) should be able to excel and still fit into society quite well. This would be comparable to 6-to-7-foot athletes. Those with scores from 145 to 160 should be exceptional at whatever they do, like the top echelon of athletes who often become celebrities, but just as often have problems fitting into society; and those with IQs much above that will, like people who are 9 or 10 feet tall, not fit in anywhere very well. All they can hope to do is to use their special gift in some marginally beneficial way.

What does IQ have to do with truth? Not nearly as much as people with above average IQs like to think it does. Successful people, especially those in the 130 to 160 IQ range, because of their exceptional ability to reason, often believe that whatever they reason to be true, is true. More often than not, however, they are wrong. Some highly intelligent people, despite their potential to do good, actually do great harm. Because they know they are very intelligent, they convince themselves that they are superior to everyone else and believe that that gives them the right to tell everyone else what to do. There are many historical examples, pharaohs, kings, tyrants, and dictators, people who essentially believe that they can replace God. Unfortunately, as the world population increases, there are more of these psychopaths.

The reason that people sometimes outsmart themselves in this way, is because they fail to examine their own a priori assumptions. That is to say, their own brilliance blinds them to the fact that the logical system they believe in is based on some assumptions that have been accepted without proof because they cannot be proved using the logical system within which they arise. This self-referential fact about all consistent logical systems was proved by the brilliant mathematician Kurt Gödel in 1933. The logic proving this fact is called the incompleteness theorem. (Note that a mathematical theorem is not a theory. It is a hypothesis that has been proved.)

Before we go on to discuss what truth is, I want to be sure that you get three very specific things from this introduction: 1) You shouldn’t accept what any human being says as truth on face value, because conclusions produced by even the most intelligent person who ever lived, no matter how brilliant and no matter how logically rigorous the reasoning may be, may still be wrong if even one assumption behind the system of logic being used is wrong. 2) Be aware that the most impeccable logical reasoning, perfectly applied, may not be able to prove the truth or falsity of a given statement, in the context of the logical system within which it is stated, however  true or false it may sound. 3) These two pitfalls in the search for truth can only be avoided by in-depth critical examination of basic assumptions. In the first case, wrong assumptions must be identified based on direct evidence, and removed or replaced. In the second case, basic assumptions may have to be expanded or augmented, based on direct evidence, before the statement can be proved to be true or false.

Practical Application of TDVP in Today’s Reality

We have a very serious situation in the world today, with several groups of intelligent people espousing conflicting beliefs about what the truth is. These conflicting beliefs have already caused a lot of violence and will probably lead to more violence if the truth isn’t revealed and recognized. Is there a way to determine what the truth really is? Yes, there is, and it involves the critical examination of basic assumptions as discussed above, followed by comparison of the conflicting belief systems with existing truth, and correction.

In the last post, we answered the first of the three questions posed at the end of post number sixteen. We uncovered the truth about who you are. You are not a name, you are not what you do, and you are not a physical body. You are a quantized bit of pure consciousness. This totally refutes the basis of identity politics so prevalent today. As pure consciousness, you are immortal and forever part of Primary Consciousness, the reality behind all things. The reality that is Primary Consciousness has been detected by physical science as the Zero-Point field within which all objects in the physical universe exist as temporary continuity perturbations.

Understanding these truths brings about the realization that violence with evil intent harms everyone, including the perpetrator, and ultimately, it is the perpetrator who will pay the most. This raises the concepts of good and evil, which also have to be related to truth and falsehood, existence, and non-existence. while exploring these relationships, I will address the remaining two question from post number sixteen. Questions two and three were: 2) How can you recognize what can help or hinder your physical, mental, and spiritual progress? And 3) how can you find the path leading to the ultimate goal? To answer number two, we begin by examining the basic assumptions behind the concepts of truth and reality.

Truth and Reality

Historically, mathematicians and logicians have chosen to separate truth from existence in the basic assumptions of logic and the primitive equations of mathematics, in order to make the proofs they produce as general as possible, so that resulting theorems and syllogisms can describe the universal principles and laws of the natural sciences. This approach served us very well until Max Planck discovered that physical reality is quantized. Recall that in earlier posts, we saw that in order to develop a consistent system of quantized mathematical logic, reality had to be defined as everything that exists. Thus, in the quantum calculus of TDVP, truth is equivalent to existence, and existence is reality, but in the mathematics of contemporary mainstream science, this equivalence is not recognized except in special cases where the equivalence is obvious.

An in-depth examination of basic assumptions has revealed a paradox in contemporary science, providing us with a basis for making some progress. Revising this basic assumption of reason by restoring the equality of reality and truth, as required for a logically consistent quantum calculus, resolves the paradox, and the process of infinite descent leads to the discovery that the non-physical aspect of reality that we call gimmel, and the discovery that we exist as quantized non-physical consciousness are two aspects of the same thing. That thing, which I am calling Primary Consciousness, is the fabric of the universe and the only reality. With the truth that the existence of a stable physical universe is only made possible by the existence of quanta of non-physical reality in atomic structure as well as in consciousness, we can proceed in future posts, to answer questions two and three.
