IT'S TIME TO WAKE UP

ENOUGH!

It's time for us – or for me, at least, - to speak out loudly and clearly, and say: ENOUGH! Because today, the truth has been almost completely undermined by lies, and the most diabolical and destructive lies are being put forward as truths. If you no longer know what to believe, then you need to understand that the general clouding of human consciousness, to the point that we might not be able to distinguish truth from lies, is and has been the goal of the enemy all along. It’s really nothing new, it’s just more insidious right now. How did we come to this? To answer this question, we have to take a longer view than that of one life time, or one century. The evolution of consciousness on this planet occurs in 24,000-year cycles.

There was a long period of time, from about 22,000 years ago until about 1,000 BC, during which consciousness was more advanced than it is now. From about 700 BC through the lowest point in spiritual virtue on this planet in 499 A.D., to about 1700, we human beings were suffering through the deep dark ages of the soul. After that time, we began the slow ascent toward higher levels of mental and spiritual virtue in this cycle of planetary time. World War I and World War II were efforts of the enemy to stop this increasing light of truth and keep humanity in darkness for as long as they could. For more about the planetary time cycles in our solar system, see The Holy Science by Swami Sri Yukteswar Giri and posts about time cycles on this blogsite and Secrets of the Sacred Cube, a Cosmic Love Story, by Ed and Jacqui Close.

When the Satanic forces of duality, represented by deluded human beings who infiltrated the religious, educational, and governmental institutions of the declining civilizations of the last cycle sought to perpetrate their evil global dominance into the new ascending cycle, saw that they were losing their grip on humanity with the victory of freedom over tyranny in the defeat of the imperialist socialistic axes of Germany, Italy, Spain, and Japan, ending World War II, they began planning ways to organize and use the remnants of evil forces to resist the slow movement toward the enlightenment of the people of Planet Earth in more subtle ways.

After the end of World War II, recognizing that brute-force dominance had failed, the Satanic forces began searching for more subtle ways to control the thoughts of human beings. Using the same basic negative principles employed by in the “Holy” Roman Empire to subvert Christianity, by Hitler in Germany, Stalin in Russia, and Mao in China, the mis-guided minions of evil resumed their attacks on the vulnerable members of humanity. In the 1960s, deluded proponents of global communism started planting long-term sleeper-cells and using neuro-linguistic programming to undermine the growing freedom of Western Civilization in Europe and America.

I learned about this long-term infiltration first-hand in 1962 when I was a graduate student in theoretical physics, from a Chinese Communist student-spy who, along with thousands of other communist intelligence agents had infiltrated America’s open systems of education, communication, politics, and entertainment. We were classmates in an intensive summer-school quantum physics course. He came to America as a graduate student in physics after studying in Russia for four years. He saw me as a potential political convert and confided in me during a weekend of social drinking.

At the time, I dismissed what the Chinese grad student told me as the fanciful delusion of one or a few foreign students who were communist ideologs; but later, I learned more about the widespread infiltration of American institutions, while I was a doctoral student at Johns Hopkins University and a charter member of a US Government Systems Analysis Group during the time period 1965 – 1977.

As an environmental engineer and mathematical modeler in support of a government-wide movement toward computerized management by systems analysis, inspired by World Bank President and former US Secretary of Defense, Robert S. McNamara, I had occasions to interface with some of the left-wing political operatives embedded in US Civil Service. I left US Civil Service and went into private consulting in the 1980s in large part because I did not want to be part of this subversion of American democracy.

Now, in an all-out last-ditch effort to continue to enslave the masses, the mis-guided minions of evil are mixing materialistic Marxist utopian propaganda with the threat of nuclear war to force humanity into a state of submission under global communism. It won’t work if we simply wake up and realize that the ultimate goal of forced globalization before humanity is mentally or spiritually ready for it, is to control humanity, prevent the enlightenment of individuals, and thwart the ascendance of good over evil.

GOOD AND EVIL – AND THE PURPOSE OF LIFE

I have addressed the concepts of good and evil, the purpose of life, the existence of consciousness, and Infinite Intelligence in other posts on this blogsite that can be accessed by searching for these subjects. But I will summarize definitions of them here to make the content of this post more complete by itself.

One of Shakespeare’s most quoted lines is:

“There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.”

This line from Hamlet, uttered by the Danish Prince in a discussion with his old schoolmates Rosenkranz and Guildenstern in support of his feeling that Denmark had become a prison for him, highlights a human attitude that is one of the Satanic force’s most effective tools in the effort to derail human spiritual advancement. Hamlet’s statement expresses a belief in relativism – not to be confused with Einstein’s relativity, which is a mathematically deterministic system of logic that is the exact opposite of relativism.

Relativism is the belief that good & evil are whatever society collectively believes them to be. In reality, nothing could be further from the truth. Reality, including the stable structures of the physical universe, while constantly changing in meaningful ways, is a manifestation of the logic of the Infinite Intelligence behind the physical universe and cannot be affected substantially by the egoistic desires of individual finite conscious beings.

When we realize that Primary Consciousness exists in every aspect of reality, and that the purpose of the existence of objective reality is to provide endless  opportunities for individual conscious beings to experience physical existence and expand their consciousness by choice to attain the state of awareness that includes the entire cosmos, defining good and evil becomes easy. Anything that expands individual consciousness toward the goal of Cosmic Consciousness is good, and anything that blocks or reverses that expansion is evil.

The purpose behind all learning processes is to expand the finite consciousness associated with an individual body, mind, and soul. Eventually, all positive physical and intellectual exercises that expand individual consciousness will merge into some form of spiritual practice. So, wherever you are on the path to ultimate enlightenment of Cosmic Consciousness, choose the spiritual practice associated with a lineage of spiritual teachers that makes sense to you.

Ancient Wisdom, Modern Science

CONTINUING WITH THE ANALYSIS OF INFINITY AND TIME

Resuming the Discussion After a Brief Pause

Dear Reader: Last Sunday I took a break from discussing the a priori assumptions underlying our beliefs about time and infinity to celebrate the anniversary of the launching of the Science and Spirituality YouTube Channel and this blog site ten years ago, and to honor the memory of my late beloved wife, Jacquelyn Ann Hill-Close, who was my greatest supporter and helpmate for more than forty years. I also mentioned the important work of my good friend and colleague Dr. Vernon Neppe, MD, PhD, who has contributed so much to the development and promotion of these ideas. My blogposts reflect some of the work we have done together that led to the formalization of the scientific paradigm shift we call TDVP, and the philosophy of unified monism. Several others have supported this research, including people reading these posts. I want you to know that I appreciate your interest, questions, and comments very much.

So now it is time to get back to the current discussion. Our latest findings require some radical changes in human beliefs about the nature of time and infinity, so I want to discuss what those changes are, how they necessitate re-assessing the basic assumptions about the nature of reality, and how those changes will affect the way we do science and the way we live our lives. A brief re-cap of the major points of the last few posts will help us get back on track.

Reality is the ultimate logical system that all scientific theories seek to model as accurately as they can. Paradoxes arising in any system of logic are evidence of either incorrect or incomplete a priori (self-evident) assumptions. While applying the methods of TDVP to develop and test our model reality, we reached some conclusions that are consistent with statements made by physicists Albert Einstein and Max Planck, the architects of relativity and quantum physics, toward the end of their careers.

Max Planck said: All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force … We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind.”

And Einstein agreed with Planck. He said: “Space and time can claim no existence of their own. … What we have called matter is energy, whose vibration has been so lowered as to be perceptible to the senses. Matter is spirit reduced to a point of visibility. There is no matter.”

These statements about what is behind the appearances of the physical world are, in my opinion, more important than all of the technological advances their work has inspired because they actually link modern science with ancient wisdom. In brief, that is what my posts are about: putting together the pieces of the puzzle of existence that are left over from the last high point in the natural cycles of human mental and spiritual virtue that barely survived destruction during the dark ages of materialism that lasted about 2,400 years, reaching its lowest point around 500 A.D.

While investigating assumptions and determining how conclusions consistent with the quotes from Einstein and Planck conflict with current common beliefs, we uncovered two very interesting conflicts: The “Mind of God” paradox, described in the July 7 post, and the “Expanding Universe” paradox, in the July 16 post. Niels Bohr, another important physicist in the paradigm shift of the last century, observed that paradoxes in scientific theories are not game stoppers; they are actually wonderful opportunities to advance, because the paradoxes are only in our theories, not in reality, and paradoxes in theories can be resolved by making appropriate changes in the a priori assumptions of the system of logic supporting the theories and expanding the area of research accordingly. That is the process I am trying to articulate in these posts. The first step in this process is examination of the assumptions behind what most people believe about consciousness and the nature of reality.

In my preliminary analysis, I identified the a priori assumptions relevant to the mind of God paradox to be assumptions about the nature of time and infinity. The a priori assumptions about time and infinity are relevant because the mind of God is generally assumed to be infinite and perfect, and time is generally assumed to be flowing from past to present, to future, uniformly throughout the universe. The statements by Einstein and Planck, based on their research, as well as results of our TDVP analyses, directly contradict these assumptions.

I began the analysis by identifying the set of axioms related to the existence and nature of infinity first, in the July 7 post. The analysis of the axioms related to infinity revealed the mind of God paradox. The relevant assumptions that led to this contradiction were identified as 1) the assumption that the perfection of the primary form of consciousness, i.e., the mind of God, the ultimate logical system, is infinite, and 2) the assumption that God is perfect. These two assumptions may both be true, but the problem that gives rise to the paradox, is a third assumption: the assumption that perfection is marred by incompleteness, i.e., that infinite perfection must be complete by definition.

If the mind of God is a consistent logical system, which it must be for science to be possible, then application of the incompleteness theorem implies that the mind of God is incomplete. This conclusion is consistent with the empirical evidence that the universe is expanding, but a 3-D universe cannot expand indefinitely unless it is expanding into absolute nothingness. But the statements of Einstein and Planck, as well as the conclusions of TDVP, imply that there is no such thing as empty space, which is the actual definition of nothingness. This is the second paradox, which I have called the expanding universe paradox. Incidentally, I touched on this paradox when I applied the primary calculus to the Olber’s paradox in my second book, Infinite Continuity published in 1990 (now out of print).

In the July 16 post, I suggested that the expanding universe paradox will not be resolved quite as easily as the Mind of God paradox because it involves expanding the axiomatic basis of the scientific model of reality to the extent where we can understand why the speed of light is the upper limit of relative motion, why there have to be extra dimensions existing beyond the three dimensions of space and one of time, and why time and space, like mass and energy, must also be quantized. This is why I referred to the resolution of the mind of God paradox, by proving that infinity is incomplete, as a potential resolution, pending the analysis of the assumptions underlying the common understanding of time. In that post, I also suggested that expansion of one’s personal consciousness to encompass the understanding of new a priori assumptions about time and infinity has interesting practical applications.

Before I can finish the analysis of the concept of time and connect the dots of the logic that leads to practical applications and resolves both of these paradoxes, I need to describe the metaphysical framework of the TDVP unified monism that became clear to us (Dr. Neppe and me) as a result of the discovery of gimmel, the empirically measurable link between the realities of spiritual consciousness and infinity to the zero-point quantum field of the physical universe.

If the structures of individual consciousness (like yours and mine), the visible finite universe, and the entire cosmos, are all subsets of the logical structures of the infinite mind of God, then a consistent unified metaphysical basis for explaining all of the conscious experiences of reality emerges, in which the infinite cosmos is perceived as identical with the mind of God, and all things that exist within the expanding universe are thoughts in the mind of God, thoughts that appear to us to be finite physical objects, materialized in the 4-D domain of spacetime.

In this philosophical and metaphysical framework, the on-going expansion of the universe is evidence of the long-term purpose of existence, which can be characterized as the opportunity for the progression of conscious beings toward physical, mental, and spiritual perfection. But for finite conscious individuals, infinite perfection in three dimensions is a forever moving target. An attainable goal, however, is the actualization of finite living organisms of mass, energy, and gimmel serving as vehicles for consciousness expansion in the nine-dimensional self-referential cosmos. These entities are expanding consciously into the nine-dimensional domain of space-time-consciousness in relatively perfect physical, astral, and causal bodies.

Spiritual Implications, Yoga Siddhis, and Remote Viewing

Quantum-level phenomena exist far below the threshold of visibility for the sense organs of human beings, but they are visible to us in astral, causal, and spiritual perception by means of the latent innate abilities of consciousness in its more advanced states. These abilities are called siddhis in the Sanskrit writings that survived from the ages of higher mental and spiritual virtue before the dark ages of materialism. At this point in the current cycle of planetary time, the average individual conscious being has not reached the level of excellence in physical, mental, and spiritual development to be able to use enhanced capabilities of advanced forms of consciousness. We may, however, have momentary glimpses of quantum and/or cosmic reality when these abilities surface in OBEs or NDEs, either spontaneously, or in meditation-induced states of altered consciousness. References to these abilities can be found in all of the ancient scriptures of the world, described as spiritual gifts in English, or as siddhis (Sanskrit), ruach menachot (Hebrew), geistige gaben (German), dons spirituels (French), daruri spirituale (Romanian), etc.

It should be noted that states of consciousness expansion with enhanced perception can sometimes be accessed temporarily by the ingestion of hallucinogenic substances. But this approach is NOT recommended and should be strictly avoided by most people because without proper precautions, it can lead to uncontrollable negative states of mind with serious psychological problems, even long-term debilitating mental illness. At this point in time, individuals who have succeeded in advancing permanently by interrupting the natural progress of their spiritual evolution with drugs are extremely rare. I know of only a few, and they were already significantly advanced spiritually before they used mind-altering hallucinogens.

On the negative side, I have personal experience with at least a dozen cases of serious psychological disorders resulting from the use of hallucinogenic substances. I was able to study two of them in some detail, and in those cases, their spiritual progress was actually reversed. Their lives were so negatively impacted that one spent the rest of his life in a mental institution, and the other died. Very sad and tragic results underlining the dangers of drug use.

Remote viewing is another form of heightened extra-sensory perception worth mentioning because considerable scientific evidence is available documenting the practice of remote viewing, especially in applications developed for military surveillance (See e.g., the publications of Stepan Schwartz), and also for police investigation of difficult missing persons and murder cases. In addition, there is important new scientific evidence documenting remote quantal viewing coinciding quite well with some scriptural descriptions of spiritual powers or gifts. For more information on this, see the published report on the scientific analysis of the Besant-Leadbeater meditation viewing of atomic structure:

https://www.pni.org/groundbreaking/Neppe-Pokharna-Close-BESANT-IQNJ-11-3-2019-190901.pdf

There is evidence of people who were born with extra-sensory abilities, or who have developed them as side-effects of states of expanded consciousness achieved by practicing certain types of meditation techniques, surfacing now in popular books, as well as in scientific studies by pioneers in the fields of bio-psychophysics and other post-materialist sciences. The Discovery of Gimmel and Verification of the TDVP Model

As explained in previous posts, gimmel, the link between physical and non-physical reality, was discovered while applying the calculus of dimensional distinctions (CoDD) and TRUE analysis within the metaphysical framework of the TDVP, in the mathematical application I call dimensional extrapolation, to determine why the proton is so stable. (TRUE is the acronym for triadic rotational units of equivalence, also called quantum equivalence units in some of our publications.)

Detailed TRUE analyses of various combinations of sub-atomic quantal energy vortices, - called elementary ‘particles’ in mainstream physics - have also yielded resolutions and explanations of more than fifty paradoxes, problems, and previously poorly explained processes in particle physics and quantum mechanics, with results matching experimental data. The details of some of these cases have been documented by Neppe and Close, peer-reviewed, and published. Thus, TDVP escapes the common criticism leveled at multi-dimensional theories like the ever-popular physicalist string theories that are internally consistent but produce no new information that can be tested against the empirical evidence of observation and experimental data. The proof of the existence of gimmel also improves the advantage of TDVP over other theories by providing the practical applications that I am discussing here for the first time.

TRUE Analysis and the Speed of Light

With many decades of training in, and practice of consciousness-expanding techniques as a Kriyaban yogi (I was initiated by Sri Daya Mata, President of Self-Realization Fellowship, and direct disciple of Paramahansa Yogananda on September 17, 1960), I have personally combined methods of practicing inner objectivity combined with the external objectivity of the scientific method to investigate reality at the quantum level. Because of this training and practice, it came as no surprise to me that there was an extremely high level of correlation between the results of the Besant-Leadbeater atomic clairvoyance experiments carried out in England between 1895 and 1932 and recent TDVP TRUE analytical results. (The Pearson-r correlation coefficient was 0.9996, with the probability of occurring by chance of less than one in a trillion.)

Using the yoga siddhi of making anything appear as large or small as needed, and the quantum calculus of TDVP with TRUE, to investigate the relativistic speed of light limit on acceleration, I saw how to prove the fact that, not just mass and energy, but also space and time are quantized at the quantum level of objective reality. Here is the multi-dimensional CoDD logic of the proof, reduced to contemporary mathematical notation:

The speed of electromagnetic radiation (light) is given by c = s/t = 1, where s and t are quantum equivalence units of space and time, respectively. As we descend to the quantum level, we see that because the speed of light is constant with regard to any observer, regardless of relative motion, s/t is equal to 1 at every level of measurement. This means that, as the observer perspective is reduced to magnify quantum phenomena, and the measures of s and t become smaller and smaller, they cannot shrink to zero, because the end result, 0/0 is not equal to 1. As any high school math student knows, it is mathematically undefined. Therefore, the smallest value s and t can reach, preserving the constancy of light speed, is one quantum equivalence unit, where one TRUE of space divided by one TRUE of time equals one: 1/1 = 1. Therefore, space and time cannot be infinitely divisible as most people assume, they are quantized at the quantum level, just like mass and energy.

This discussion of ancient wisdom and modern science will continue in the next post. ERC – 7/23/2022

THE FUTURE OF AI AND CONSCIOUSNESS

Diagram From Secrets of the Sacred Cube

PRIMARY CONSCIOUSNESS. TRIADIC EXISTENCE, AND AI

It seems that there are an infinite number of things that keep presenting themselves while I am in deep sleep and/or in my daily meditations; ideas that linger for a while when I return to my normal waking state of consciousness, ideas that need to be written down before they fade away. Once one realizes that reality is one infinitely continuous self-referential whole, every thought becomes a thread in a fascinating mosaic, connected to everything else, or, as my research partner Dr. Vernon Neppe likes to put it: every aspect of reality revealed by the Triadic Dimensional Vortical paradigm (TDVP), matter, energy, or consciousness, is forever tethered to the whole.

In previous books, papers, and blogposts, we have explained how and why the discovery of the existence of the third form of reality, manifesting as mass, energy, and gimmel at the quantum level of reality, has critical physical and non-physical components. Part of the subatomic structure of reality has to be non-physical in order for any stable physical reality to exist, or even to form. Without gimmel, quarks could not combine symmetrically as protons, and no stable atom could ever form. Possessing no mass or energy, never the less, quantum units (TRUE) of gimmel organize the proton structure in a way that increases the total angular momentum which manifests as a significant part of the measurable structure and inertial mass of the proton.

The existence of non-physical gimmel as a pre-requisite for the formation of physical reality gives us the long-awaited answer to Leibniz’s all-important question of why there is something rather than nothing: Because non-physical gimmel had to exist before any physical origin event such as the hypothetical “big bang” was possible, gimmel was not created in any kind of physical origin event, nor can it be destroyed in the way that physical structures can. Thus, reality, based on the logical structure of gimmel, has no beginning or end, only dynamic changes of form.

The discovery of gimmel also proves that the structure of reality at the most basic level of existence is tertiary, not binary. Why is this important? Because it changes the way we must think about everything, especially when it comes to measurement and calculation of distance, time, mass, and energy. Understanding the triadic multi-dimensional volumetric union, or tethering of mass, energy, and gimmel in quantal reality, is crucial to understanding the true nature of reality at the quantum level, at the subatomic and atomic levels, and subsequently, at every other level.

The discovery of the quantized nature of mass, energy, and gimmel in physical reality, means that mathematical logic must be completely overhauled. The most basic a priori assumptions that relate geometry and physical reality and all of the fundamental operations must be re-defined to accommodate the multi-dimensional quantized and relativistic reality that we have known about for nearly 100 years. Does this mean that mainstream math and science is all wrong? No, of course not. But it does mean that the standard model needs to be purged of mathematical concepts that have no actual counterpart in reality. This brings up the problems with contemporary mathematical analysis of subatomic processes that create the famous “weirdness” of quantum mechanics.

Infinitesimal calculus, also known as Integral and differential calculus, widely used in science and engineering today, was developed by Newton and Leibniz over 300 years ago. Newton and Leibniz are generally recognized as the inventors of “the calculus” even though numerous thinkers developed some of the basic concepts of this calculus long before Newton and Leibniz, including earlier European mathematicians like Euler, Fermat, Cantor, Pascal, Descartes, and many others, all the way back to Greek mathematicians like Eudoxus and Archimedes, and ancient Arab, Indian, and Chinese thinkers.

The Infinitesimal calculus of Leibniz and Newton has been so successful in engineering and physics applications over the past 300 years, that even now, it is still called “the calculus”, even though it is only one of a number of logical  mathematical calculi that can be designed and applied in scientific analysis. According to information I received in the Great Pyramid and the ancient city of Petra in 2010, at the acme of the last high point of mental and spiritual virtue, 12,000 years before the last low point in this time cycle in 499 A.D., the average person alive on this planet at that time could carry out complex calculations mentally, using a variety of calculi and had no need for artificial intelligence (AI), electronics, or mechanistic physical technologies to interact with reality, for transportation, or communication.

The danger with AI, like with all technologies, comes when it outstrips the mental and spiritual virtue of its creators, because it can be used for good or evil. Unfortunately, AI has already far surpassed the ability of the average human being to perform extremely rapid calculations. Fortunately, calculation is only a small part of consciousness, and even if AI constructs may eventually become complex enough to receive consciousness, they will be receiving the same consciousness that enlivens human and other sentient beings.

A valid question arises: If conscious beings have enjoyed a higher level of physical well-being, mental virtue, and spiritual wisdom in the distant past, and we seem to be learning more about the nature of reality at an increasing rate as time goes on, why does civilization seem to be teetering on the brink of self-destruction again? Why do we seem to be losing ground mentally and spiritually as a species? The answer lies in the nature of consciousness, and the duality of physical reality.

Because of freewill, ego, and forgetfulness, some of us don’t learn from past mistakes in a timely manner and arrogantly put many in danger by trying to play the role of master and controller of others without the requisite wisdom.

Fortunately, there is evidence that the negative aspects of duality necessary to maintain the existence of a physical reality for spiritual evolution can never overwhelm the positive, because in the final analysis, consciousness and its positive manifestations have always existed and will always exist, because evil is simply the temporary localized absence of good, in the same way that darkness is the absence of light. As the light increases, the darkness will disappear.

NEW APPROACH PART FIFTEEN

FIFTEEN: TIME AFTER TIME

Copyright 2022, Edward R. Close, PhD

My last blogpost was entitled “Messages from Reality”. The main point of the post was to say that your life, your personal reality, whether it consists predominantly of the fulfillment of hopes and dreams, or failures and disappointments, is the result of your day-to-day interaction with the world of human drama that has been going on for centuries within the space-time structure of the eternally expanding universe. That on-going world of human drama, with all of its joys and sorrows, treasures and rewards, dangers, and discomforts, may be happy and uplifting one day, and distressing and depressing the next, but, make no mistake about it, you, yourself have played the major role in making your life what it is. Your actions in the past are the cause of your present experience of life, and your actions in the present are the cause of your future state of being. You are the architect of the fate of your soul.

Sometimes, you might believe that you are an innocent victim of cruel, random circumstances, but there is no such thing as an innocent human being. The Apostle Paul spoke about this in the first century AD, when he said: “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God…” - Romans 3:21-23. “All have sinned …”  What about an infant who dies a horrible death? What about those who suffer and/or die as unavoidable collateral damage from war or other violence, in which they are not active participants? Why are some people born into poverty, disease, and depravity, while others are born into lives of health, wealth, and happiness?  The answer to questions like these is the very best kept secret of the world of human travail; but the answer is obvious once you see it: We are immortal spiritual beings who evolve spiritually over long periods of time with a modicum of free will.

Do you imagine that you were created out of nothing just a few years ago, when your mother gave birth to you? If so, then you might also imagine that you will just cease to exist when your body is no longer able to function. But that would be a miracle of the first order, since it would violate every bit of empirical evidence attesting to the general truth of the conservation of everything that exists in some form. You may ask: if consciousness is immortal, then why do most of us not consciously remember everything we have experienced in the past? The blocking of the memories of birth and death, and other traumatic experiences is simply a forgetfulness of convenience. Your subconscious mind has devised a way for your ego to protect itself from being confronted with the painful memories of past horrific experiences and regrettable actions that would overwhelm.

To resolve this paradox, we must discover the hidden history of the endless cycles of planetary time. The timeless Masters of Spiritual Consciousness have preserved the truth about the relative cycles of planetary time for us through the darkest ages of this planet and have revealed it to those who have ears to hear and eyes to see; and now science is beginning once again to uncover the subtle clues hinting at the true nature of reality, as the average mental virtue slowly increases. We, you and I, dear reader, are living in a time when science and spirituality are beginning to converge again. A wonderful time to be alive!

Humanity as a whole, however, is still a long way from the optimum point of physical, mental, and spiritual enlightenment, and the road ahead is not easy. The evil side of duality does not give up easily. Jesus underlined this sad, unfortunate truth of his time and ours, when, in the Sermon on the Mount, he advised us:

"Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."

Another way of saying this is: Worrying about what might happen tomorrow is a waste of time. Not only that, wasting your valuable time and attention by thinking about an evil that you believe is likely to happen based on the facts at hand, will make it even more likely to happen, because the evil of the world is like the consciousness of a vicious animal, it senses your fear as weakness and is emboldened to attack. Focusing on the potential for good, on the other hand, however remote it may seem, repels the forces of evil. We also find this theme in the book of Job:

“For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.” Job 3:25

Evil and suffering are things we must deal with as part of the dualistic reality of human experience on this planet in order to grow spiritually, and the story of Job is a stark example of how we are tested by it. In this story, Job represents human consciousness, the concept of God represents the ultimately good purpose of reality, and the fallen angel Satan represents the evil that can befall us. Even though Job cursed the day he was born, when good allowed evil to bring pain and suffering into his life, he would not denounce the ultimate good purpose of life, and because of that, in the end, he was blessed. The moral of the story is: No matter how horrible the pain and suffering that you must endure in this life may be, never lose sight of the ultimate good and the unfathomably wonderful purpose and goal of existence and your life.

The nature of reality in this elementary school we call life on Earth, is a repetitive pattern of suffering in spacetime that seems endless. The good news is that things are slowly improving, and the fact that there is a way to transcend the patterns of planetary time all together, through the expansion of consciousness by intent, is even better news. Understanding this will help us to see the value of persevering through the pain and suffering of physical life, as Job did. To this end, a brief review of the ancient concept of planetary time cycles should be helpful.

The illusion that the progression of time is linear is an illusion of locality. It is created by the fact that the average human lifetime, whether one month, or one hundred years, is very short relative to the slow spiral of planetary time within galactic time. Like the illusion of locality of the flat earth, it is dispelled only by an expansion of consciousness, and the average awareness of human consciousness rises and falls in cycles of 24,000 years: 12,000 rising, and 12,000 falling. We are presently still 10,477 years from the next peak of human virtue, and only 1,523 years past the last lowest point in this cycle. For more detail concerning the determination of the world’s position in the cycles of planetary time, see The Holy Science, written by Sri Yukteswar Giri in 1894. The Eighth edition of this book (1990) is available from Self-Realization Fellowship. Also see Secrets of the Sacred Cube, A Cosmic Love Story, Part X, Cycles of Consciousness and Time, pages 364 – 382, Close, E.R. and J.A., 2019.

Fleeting glimpses of memories of past lives, future lives, and between lives, seen in dreams, meditation, and prayer, are products of consciousness expansion, and the increasing number of reports of near-death out-of-body experiences, heralds the beginning of the awakening of humanity to the larger reality within which the physical universe exists. And finally, the discovery of gimmel, the non-physical part of reality in the scientific framework of the TDVP quantum mathematical model, presages the expansion of science beyond the dead end of the mis-guided doctrine of materialism.

DIMENSIONS OF SPACE, TIME, AND CONSCIOUSNESS

DIMENSIONS OF SPACE, TIME, AND CONSCIOUSNESS

In the last post, I promised to answer two questions that are often asked about the Neppe-Close TDVP model of reality:

“What are the three dimension of time and the three dimensions of consciousness?

Before I attempt to answer these questions, I want to present a little more background, and discuss some key concepts and definitions so that my answers can be understood in the proper context.

Background

In 1985 and 1986, I began the development of a quantum calculus, inspired in part by G. Spencer Brown’s Laws of Form. Applications of the quantum calculus, which I called the calculus of dimensional distinctions, led to a series of discoveries, and eventually to the model of reality that Dr. Vernon Neppe and I call the Triadic Dimensional Vortical Paradigm (TDVP). The early work I did from the 1950s until about 2000, was documented and published in 1977, 1989 and 1997 (See the reference list at the end of this blogpost). Dr. Neppe and I began working together in 2008, and we have published many of our findings in journal papers and the book Reality Begins with Consciousness, first published in 2011, with several editions since.

We discovered that not only are human observations of reality through the five physical senses limited to certain narrow bands of electro-magnetic energy and bio-mechanical vibratory frequencies, but they are also limited to a specific number of dimensions and partial dimensions. The additional frequencies and dimensions are not really hidden, they exist all around us, but our physical senses are just not capable of detecting all of them. Proof of this exists in a number of TDVP explanations of conundrums and paradoxes that exist in the current mainstream paradigm. All of these explanations coincide either exactly, or well within sampling and measurement error, with verified experimental data.

A reaction that occurs fairly often when I mention three dimensions of time is: “You mean Past, present, and future?”  No. Experience shows us that we perceive the same dimensions in the past and future as we do in the present. For conscious individuals, the first dimension of time is experienced as a distinct sequence of experiences creating a series of mental images -models if you will- of events perceived as happening at specific moments along a one-way timeline. Before I explain what the other dimensions of time and the dimensions of consciousness are, I must define exactly what I mean by dimensions and dimensional domains, so that we are on the same page.

What is a dimension?

Most people are familiar with the three dimensions of space: length, width, and height or depth. But many are not so familiar with the way they are defined mathematically. The concept of space is formalized in a mathematically logical manner by defining an axiomatic system of measurements. Several systems have been devised, including polar and spherical coordinate systems, but the most widely used and understood system begins with Cartesian plane coordinates, developed about four hundred years ago by the famous French mathematician Rene Descartes.

Descartes realized that every point along a line could be uniquely located by a single number representing the distance from an arbitrary starting point on the line. Designating that starting point as zero, he constructed a second line extending from the starting point perpendicular to the first line and found that every point in the plane between the two lines could be uniquely located with two positive numbers, called coordinates. This system of coordinates can be extended by constructing a third line from the zero point, extending perpendicular to the first two lines. Then, every point in the space defined by the three lines can be precisely located with three numbers. Those three numbers are the distances on each of the three lines from the zero point to the points where perpendicular lines intersect at the location of the point of interest in three-dimensional space.

This formalization of the three dimensions of space that we perceive through the physical senses can be extended conceptually to more than three dimensions. For each additional dimension, an additional number is needed to precisely locate any point. Traditionally, a geometry with more than three dimensions has been called a “hyperspace”. Application of the calculus of dimensional domains in the TDVP model revealed that additional dimensions really do exist, and that we are emersed in a complex geometry of more than three dimensions, but the dimensions beyond the simplest three are not spatial. Additional dimensions beyond the first three are the measurable extensions in time and consciousness.

When your consciousness is expanded to include more than the planar dimensions described by Descartes, you are not leaving this universe, transported into another dimension, plane, or world, existing somewhere else, you are just becoming aware of additional dimensions that already exist all around you. You just have not been aware of them before. The addition of just one dimension to your domain of awareness, however, transforms the reality you experience in ways that are almost impossible to imagine before you experience them, and nearly as impossible to describe, after you have experienced them. The mind-expanding ways in which your perceptions of reality are transformed become exponentially more complex with each added dimension.

Dimensional Domains

A dimensional domain is defined as a finite portion of extent delineated by a specific number of dimensions. In a quantified, infinitely extending multi-dimensional field, a zero-dimensional domain is a point, i.e., a mathematical singularity; a one-dimensional domain is a line segment; a two-dimensional domain is a specific area of a plane; and a three-dimensional domain is a specific volume of space. The awareness of the domain of three dimensions containing matter, energy, and conscious entities, is only possible with the awareness of a moment of time existing on the fourth dimension, and the integrated experience of consciousness on the fifth dimension. Together, they comprise the experience of being a conscious finite self-aware being. Every conscious being is actually aware of a dimensional domain of three dimensions of space, partial awareness of one dimension of time, and one dimension of consciousness.

When your consciousness is expanded to become aware of more of the dimensions of reality, you find that time and conscious extent have the same basic dimensionometric pattern as space, because they are all reflections of the logical patterns of Primary Consciousness, the substrate of reality. In order to contain objective mass, energy and gimmel, space has to have length, width, and depth. (See references on the discovery of gimmel, the non-physical third form of reality) Time and consciousness also contain images of events comprised of matter, energy, and conscious impact. Thus, they must also have dimensional extents of length, width, and depth.

Space, Time, and Consciousness, Mass, Energy, and Gimmel

Space, the simplest form of structural extent, appears at first glance, to be independent of the consciousness of the observer, but space is actually part of the multi-dimensional space-time-consciousness triadic dimensional domain, reflecting the logical structure of reality. The interdependence of space, time and consciousness becomes more obvious when we investigate the conscious experience of time.

As individual consciousness expands to include the awareness of the additional dimensions, it becomes clear that reality has six measurable primary components. Three of them are measured with variables of extent. They are the dimensional domains of space, time, and consciousness. Three are measured with variables of content. They are mass, energy, and gimmel. The variables of extent are dimensions while variables of content measure the impact of the three essential aspects of finite reality. They occupy dimensional domains but are not dimensions themselves. Dimensions simply define the extent of space, time, and consciousness needed to contain the three essential forms of reality. Dimensional domains are occupied by various combinations of the three essential components of finite reality: mass, energy, and gimmel.

The Three Dimensions of Time

Now, let’s return to the discussion of the three dimensions of time: As I said above, the first dimension of time is experienced by a conscious entity as a distinct sequence of events in a series of mental images along a cause-and-effect timeline in individualized consciousness. When the cause-and-effect timeline of a second individual intersects with that timeline, the resulting time structure is analogous to a plane in space, and when the timelines of three or more individuals progressing different directions with regard to the expansion of spiritual awareness interact, that is represented mathematically as existing in three dimensions of time.

The Mathematical Structure of Reality

Application of the quantum calculus of dimensional distinctions to the interactions of the contents of reality (mass, energy, and gimmel) quantified in quantum equivalence units [also called triadic rotational units of equivalence (TRUE)], in the dimensional domain of the six dimensions of spacetime, reveals the basic mathematical structure of reality: As the domain of awareness expands from three dimensions of space to include a dimension of time, the appropriate units of measurement change from integers to imaginary numbers. After three dimensions of time, in order to expand into dimensions of consciousness, the units change from imaginary numbers to complex numbers. [For readers with formal training in advanced number theory: The unitary projection from a 3n-dimensional domain to a 3n+1 dimensional domain, (n=1,2, 3…) is the principal primitive (3n+1)th root of unity.]

The quantum calculus of dimensional distinctions mentioned above is applicable to the multi-dimensional domains of space, time, and consciousness and their contents because those contents, while not measurable in variables of extent, are composed of multiples of distinctions (TRUE) creating the various dimensional domains.

This analysis leads to the conclusion that the quantized dimensional domains of space, time, and consciousness include three finite dimensions of time and space plus three finite dimensions of consciousness, totaling nine finite dimensions, and the quantized aspects of the essence of reality have three primary forms each, totaling nine finite quantities. The three, six, and nine finite dimensions and the three, six, and nine finite forms defining the logical structure of quantized reality are reflected in the geometrical and numerical structure of pure mathematical logic in several ways in addition to the three main types of numbers: the natural, imaginary, and complex.

The nature of dimensions of expanded consciousness existing beyond the finite quantized nine-dimensional domain, and how they relate to the infinitely continuous field of the substrate of reality that I have called Primary Consciousness, are beyond the scope of this post. But the elegance of the three- six- and nine-mathematical logic running through the stable structures of the physical, mental, and spiritual realities that we experience is so striking that it warrants a much more detailed presentation than I have provided here; but that discussion is also beyond the scope of this post.

My intention in this post is just to provide the basic context within which the space-time-conscious dimensionality and mass-energy-gimmel content of reality, as modeled by the Close-Neppe Paradigm, can be understood. The last, and most challenging step for me is to describe what I mean by the three finite dimensions of consciousness. To do this, I must try to describe what reality must look from the vantage point of Cosmic Consciousness. I must do this based on a few brief glimpses of my own and the words of a few exceptional souls who have attained the ultimate goal of existence.

Education and the Expansion of Consciousness

To explain what I mean by dimensions of consciousness, it is necessary to clear up some common misconceptions. The reality we experience is quantized by the conscious drawing of finite distinctions of mass, energy, and gimmel in the quantized dimensional domains of space, time, and consciousness. Because of this quantization and the conservation of mass and energy, dimensionless points (mathematical singularities), and the first two dimensional domains defined above: one-dimension lines, and two-dimensional spaces, do not exist in our physical universe, because they cannot contain even one quantum of the essential forms of reality, consisting of quantized mass, energy, and gimmel. All three forms are volumetric, and thus, no dimensional domain with less than three dimensions can contain combinations of the essential forms of physical reality.

What does this have to do with understanding and the three dimensions of consciousness? It is important to recognize that the physical universe is not infinitely continuous, but consciousness is, and that our physical senses detect energies that are discretely quantized in order to allow us to experience finite structures as distinctions within the infinitely continuous substrate of consciousness.

The non-existence of zero-dimensional points, one-dimensional lines, and two-dimensional planes in quantized reality, makes the infinitesimal calculus of Newton inappropriate for application at the quantum scale of existence, but mainstream science has failed to recognize this for more than one hundred years since Max Planck discovered that reality is quantized, and Albert Einstein demonstrated that measurements of space and time are dependent upon the quantization of relative motion within the maximum limit of light speed. The inappropriate application of infinitesimal calculus to quantum calculations has led to the so-called “quantum weirdness” so often highlighted by mainstream physicists, but now, application of the quantum calculus of dimensional distinctions and the discovery of gimmel removes quantum weirdness from science.

Mainstream science has been stagnated in the false belief system of dialectical materialism for nearly one hundred years, causing modern science to devolve into scientism, a well-organized atheistic religion, relegating consciousness and spiritual evolution to the realm of mythology and fantasy. Scientism embraces the unprovable negative assumptions of atheism and the worship of artificial intelligence (AI) as the savior and God of the future. AI materialism is the current reincarnation of the idolatry that the Spiritual Masters have always warned against.

Over the past sixty years since I first started teaching mathematics, I have watched education in this country slowly disintegrate and devolve into a series of social experiments driven by dialectic materialism. Under the authoritarian rule of scientific materialism, public education has become little more than governmental indoctrination and social engineering. The memorization and regurgitation of establishment-approved data and beliefs is falsely equated with learning. Enrollment in courses that improve logical thinking and critical reasoning is no longer encouraged because of the potential of producing students who might challenge the authority of government indoctrination.

The real process of education was intended to expand individual consciousness into a greater awareness of physical, mental, and spiritual reality. Rather than being forced to accept someone else’s beliefs, and being told what to think, students should be taught to think clearly and logically for themselves. They should be given greater access to the works of the great thinkers of the world, and they should be encouraged to expand their awareness and knowledge of the dimensions and content of reality. The social and political indoctrination that we are seeing in our public and private schools today, rarely lead to any real learning and understanding, and almost never to spiritual growth or wisdom. Our current educational institutions are pushing ideas and beliefs that contract awareness rather than expand it, as education should.

The Three Dimensions of Consciousness

The dimensions of consciousness are meta-dimensions. By that, I mean that they contain within them all of the finite dimensions of physical reality. They are not empty points, lines, and planes. The first dimension of consciousness is defined by the trace of the individual awareness of being, the distinction of self from other. The evolution of this awareness can be positive, negative, or stationary with regard to the goals of conscious spiritual evolution. Therefore, this trace can be represented as a line of events, or a lifetrace in the field of consciousness, but this line is not one-dimensional. Each point on the line is volumetric, i.e., at least three-dimensional, with content and extent that have meaningful impact on the consciousness of the individual.

The second dimension of consciousness is created by the awareness of two intersecting individual lifetraces. Their intersection implies the existence of a quantum plane of consciousness, whether the individuals are aware of any more than the quantum of intersection or not. When additional traces, trending in different directions than the first two, with regard to the overall spiritual growth of consciousness expansion, are perceived, three dimensions of consciousness are revealed.

Implications of the nine-dimensional model.

The mathematical inclusion of consciousness in the TDVP model of reality expands the scope of scientific analysis in ways that will probably take years to explore and require volumes of documentation. But this discussion of the implications of the TDVP model will be brief, meant only to indicate some of the potential phenomena we can investigate, and some of the directions that the research may go.

At this point in the planetary time cycle, due to the current low level of the average physical and mental ability and spiritual virtue compared to the real human potential, the progress in consciousness expansion for the majority of the Earth’s human population is hardly noticeable during one lifetime. But, since the progress can be accelerated by focus and consistent application of effective consciousness expansion techniques, it is of interest to have some knowledge of what experiences of some of the various states of expanded consciousness are like.

Once again, I find that I need to define some of the concepts relevant to consciousness expansion in a little more detail. The extent of awareness along each dimension of the domain available to an individual sentient being is limited by the focus and range of operation of the physical, mental, and spiritual senses of the individual. For example, due to being able to perceive, travel, and remember, an individual may have a considerable spatial awareness of the physical world, with a limited awareness of one dimension of time and one dimension of consciousness.

A large number of states of partial and/or total awareness of the nine finite dimensions of reality are possible relative to the current state of awareness of the average individual. For example, if an average person alive now, with the normal awareness of a domain of three dimensions of space, and partial awareness of one dimension of time, and partial awareness of one dimension of consciousness, were to expand his or her consciousness to include significant extended awareness of time and consciousness dimensions in his or her cognitive domain, then that person would be considered to be very psychic by people limited to the general level of consciousness in today’s world. That person would “see” past and future events of his/her experience, as well as those in the consciousness of others. A person with extended awareness of any dimension of time or space would be considered “gifted” by the standards of today’s society.
